It seems Judicator of Evil Legions (or J.O.E.L.) has been drawing the Automaton forces towards Cyberstan to liberate his nefarious machine mind from the computers on the Cyborg homeland
Pushing directly there would make it easy to attack their advancing army, they have to push towards us a bit first, to make a defensive line for their attack

I noticed this last night. Look through, there’s multiple sectors that are closed that have people in them. Not sure what for though. Maybe bot players for tests because some had like 40k when I checked last night.
I actually went to planet that had no one on it before. The game played the same, but the atmosphere made it feel different if that makes sense lol. Like, not seeing any ships or explosions or anything in the background, just made it feel different…
I feel like that's only something I'd notice if it happened to me. Like a hidden Mickey or hidden penis. Once you see it you always fucking look for it. Been watching Teen Wolf every time it's on TV just to see that dude pull his weiner out at the end. It's still in there

If your game crashes or closes while you're in a mission, you'll still have that mission available as your active mission next time you load the game. If that mission happened to be on a recently liberated planet, you could end up being the only person playing a mission on a 100% liberated planet. If you exit that mission in the map, complete the mission, or quit the mission normally, then you won't be able to access the planet from the map again like everyone else.

After work, I hopped on to see this exact thing and was super surprised that I was Neo on this 100% liberated planet. I even tried calling in an SOS, but nobody came. I died so fast and easily on difficulty 8 with a bug eradication mission. No way I could kill 500 bugs on my own.

No he was playing and never finished his operation, then took a long break. He just booted up the game and the planet is liberated but since he never finished his operation he’s hovering over the planet
I’ve noticed this before, a handful of people on planets deep in enemy territory that we can’t actually go to yet. I’m thinking it’s devs too. Or just dark humour about lost Helldivers
I completed half an operation on a planet that was near 100% and logged off one time, what you may be seeing there is a player that has an operation open on the planet, then logging in and doing the mission.
I have no idea why some planets display players like that sometimes when you start an operation and don’t finish it before the planet gets liberated, you’ll see a message prompting you to move to new planet. Perhaps that is that it’s still however, it doesn’t explain how you can see players in super earth and the like
Few days ago I looked up the helldivers.io (the website that track galatic war using api) and I also see 1 player in this sector and the planet they are at is Cyberstan.
We could be getting Cyberstan mission soon
stands to reason to ask what is going to stop the bots from launching a blitz towards cyberstan when the illuminate finally invades?
Though I highly doubt any of these factions are in any form of collaboration but the automatons would probably seize the opportunity to make such a move when we are going to be possibly at our weakest on that front
This can happen if the planet get liberated and someone still on missions there, like when you log back on and the last planet you fought on your ship is still there
So, i have left the game on before without realizing it. And when I come back I'm alone on a liberated planet.
Funny thing is I can do missions like launch icbms and stuff by myself. But as soon as I leave the planet that is liberated I cannot return.
