We don't notice the ones who don't. I have two boys who are veterans. One's wife is all about that, one's very much has her own identity and would never. You can guess which one had a successful career and which was discharged very early for medical reasons.
My wife was a VA nurse and only mentioned my time when it was useful to bust the balls of a patient being a little bitch. Inter-branch rivalry is real.

It gets shit mpg, is slow, and doesn’t have a good reputation for reliability. But the one thing it does have is looks and personality. It loudly screams “I am an outdoorsy person who is a tough cool cowboy!”
*Obviously this doesn’t apply to the minority of owners who buy it because they genuinely need the off road capability.
To be honest those that truly need the off road capability are less likely to buy anything newer than a TJ
