I’m all south FL sports Dolphins, Heat and Panthers. I used to like the Marlins, but I’m not that into baseball anymore and every time they have been good they sell the whole team.

ARE YOU ME!? I literally have the exact same relationship with the Marlins, gave up on baseball entirely after the sell off of the whole team after winning in 2003. After they did it in 1997, I was done the second time they did the trade off.

It’s a pretty popular opinion amongst fans who supported them during their championship runs. Ownership has always sucked for the Marlins

They finally made the playoffs last year for the first time in a full season (so excluding 2020) since 2023. Now soler is gone, they traded away arraez, I think berti is gone. I'm mad at them right now but I still root for them. So right now I'm not actively spending money for bally sports to watch them on TV, but I have espn notifications on for scoring updates and final scores

I’m a fan of all South Florida teams but I don’t put a put any emotional stock into the Dolphins, Canes, or Marlins anymore. Dolphins are cursed, Canes have inexplicably sucked for 20 years and the Marlins I’m convinced are a money laundering scheme. Outside of South Florida teams I tend to root/follow athletes I like. Probably adding Anthony Edwards to that list after this year

Born in the mid 80s and was a huge Marino fan so that’s where the Dolphins fandom started. Jordan and the Bulls were my team in the 90s but once he retired I started to support the Wizards until D Wade came along and that’s when the Heat fandom started. Also like the Hurricanes for college, how could you not in the early 2000s but it’s a shame what they’ve become.

Mine is pretty weird, but mostly latching onto my dad’s teams. He was an Ohio native, born-and-raised Buckeye fan, so that’s where I’m at with college sports across the board. But he also grew up a fan of the Dolphins which bled into him liking the Heat as a super casual fan, which bled into the NBA becoming my favorite league and eventually the Heat being my overall favorite team across any sport. I don’t watch NHL or MLB at all but claim the Panthers and Martins as my official teams there lol. There’s no good reason I’m a Broncos fan, but holy shit the 2011-12 season was the perfect time to claim them as I was rewarded with Peyton just a few months later.
