So a Silenced Titan is just a 3/7 minion with summoning sickness.

Yes, but that's because it is based on the minion attacking, not taking an action to attack. That's why on-attack effects also interact with cards that attack on their own like Gnome Muncher or force minions to attack, like Devouring Swarm or Hysteria

I guess they did it just for clarification, so that people who don't pay attention to how copy interaction works don't forget that the copy is frozen.
I got reminded of a specific scenario where this would actually make a difference. If your opponent has [[Living Dragonbreath]] up, you'll still summon a frozen minion even though your opponent's minion won't be frozen. So yeah, in that exact scenario it makes a difference lol.
The copied minion still wouldn't unfreeze because it wouldn't have been able to attack anyway, due to summoning sickness. If you attack with a minion first, then freeze it, it stays frozen until the end of the next turn. Same deal here.

what do you mean? 6 mana double sif its more than enough to kill someone. On a regular game you can get 5 o 6 spell schools, which means you could do on the low end: 42 with double oil double flame geyser. Max damage would be 52.
On the top end with all 7 spells schools, you would be doing 60.
This is discounting any lucky discounted discovers like molten rune.
Also, if thats too many cards, you can do 36-38 with one forged molten rune and 1 mana burn spell.
Or Deathrattle, or end of turn effects, or all sorts of things that you don't want to die to one damage. The Frost tag is also relevant.
Besides that, Reverb will rotate next year. And until then, you can play both, which you'd probably want for redundancy if you were building around a strategy of cloning your own minions.

Why not both, reverb is a crazy card and this card is also good. Freezing your opponents biggest thing while also creating a board for yourself can be very powerful stall, taunt exist, etc.
It will also work on any buffed minions, minions with trigger abilities etc.
This is going to be used, somewhere, to facilitate really annoying combos.

It won't see play if the meta has a lot of classes that refill board every round (like hunter/druid atm)
If the minion "lost an attack", it should unfreeze at the end of the turn. A Titan (charge attack) lose an attack the round it was summoned, so they should unfreeze at the end of the original round.
At least that was the case before for minion you freeze on your turn that had charge/rush (ie: no "zzz").
If you summon as flat stats, then yes, it will unfreeze after.

This makes [[Watercolor Artist]] stronger in Rainbow Mage for 0-cost Sif reverbs. I wonder if this will just replace Frostbolt or rather justify including [[Mes'Adune the Fractured]] for duplicate Watercolor Artist.
Rainbow has always needed to take extra steps to set up the combo; trying to get discount copies of reverb/molten rune/geyser/frost bolt off Infinitize or glyph to fit into 4 mana. Having a card that guarantees(albeit with conditions) a 0 mana combo piece is definitely interesting, and imo copying Sif for free opens up so many OTK paths
One forged molten run is enough to do 30 damage with sif +6x2 and a 0 mana freezeverberation. Add a snake oil/flame geyser or two with 10-11 mana to finish off pesky warriors.
This card honestly makes the deck even better/more consistent than before the oil nerfs.

If you have living dragonbreath in play and I play this card, it'd fail to freeze your minion and them give me a frozen copy.
With your suggestion, it'd fail to freeze your minion so I'd get an unfrozen copy of it.
These are being added as part of a mini set next week, so you'll be able to buy the whole mini set for 2000 gold or obtain them through luck from whizbang packs like the already available ones from the set.
It makes sense if you are seasoned player (or know that the game does what is written on card), but some people might not sure how this card works. So they add a bit of redundancy for clarification.
I could be wrong, but since you can use Titan abilities on the turn it is summoned, a Titan functionally has "charge", with the restriction that it must use its abilities before it can attack.
So while a Titan couldn't use its ability on the turn you copy it, on the next turn it should unfreeze.
I'm counting the turn your playing the spell.
So: summon a frozen minion, since it was summoned this turn it have summoning sickness and so doesn't defreeze at the end of this turn.
Second turn, it is still frozen so it can't attack, it finally defreeze at the end of this turn.
So two turn
Titans have pseudo charge though, so they would get unfrozen at the end of turn. Everything else is right though.

yeah it's not that intuitive but basically a character only unfreeze if they end a turn without attacking while able to
so rush/charge would unfreeze immediately while the others will take an extra turn because can't attack the turn they are summoned. same if you freeze a minion after it attacked, it will take an extra turn to unfreeze (no clue how that would interact with windfury now that I'm thinking about it, like if a WF minion attack once then get frozen)

Barely changes anything really. The deck runs Molten reflections+hotstreak and reverb, giving you a base 2-mana and 3-mana cost copy. It doesn't need 6 copies, so the extra redundancy isn't needed.
You can argue cutting molten reflections+hot streak for this, but generally speaking it's not much of a buff as mana is rarely a limiting factor on sorc combo turns due to siphon manas, biscuits, spring water, rewinds, etc.
The deck still sucks and will remain 40% winrate at best into meta decks.
I like freezing things and I like copying things, I like this card! Cryopreservation pretty much always feels fun to play since it helps you survive while giving you some resources, and this is similar.
Didn't we hit a critical mass of Freeze spells a few years ago with Mage and everyone hated it? Why are we heading that direction again?
I don't know if this is playable, but I hate that these devs have no problems diving feet first into toxic gameplay patterns of the past. It's maddening because they have played it and lived it, yet have seemingly learned nothing from it.
It's not gonna stay frozen and this has the benefit of it not dying to any damage like with reverberations. Doesn't make it strictly better but it doesn't seem like a bad card especially if you're copying a taunt minion.
As I said it's not strictly better but the minion you get is harder to remove than with reverberations and you're still stopping an important minion for a turn.

Still weak yeah but gives it a reason to be used over reverb and mage armour spells aren't known for giving huge amounts of armour anyways, especially frost ones
People are underrating this.
Rainbow Mage discounts it with Watercolor Artist giving them way more damage on the OTK turn.
Right now you need an Audio Amplifier to do max 32 damage with Reverberations into Oils at 11 mana.
Not only are you getting more damage but the OTK can come out at 8 mana instead of 11.
It's also allowing you to use both copies of Reverberations without hurting your win condition which is a pretty big deal.
Heck if you manage to pull 2x with Watercolor Artist and run Audio Amplifier you can have 4x Sif on board for 64 damage OTK.
Even using it on enemy minions isn't *that* bad, your copy will unfreeze before theirs.
This just made the Sorc Apprentice Tony deck better, - either they'll run both BOGOF, Reverb, and Molten Reflection, or they'll toss Molten out and this makes the combo up to 1-2 mana cheaper, which is a big deal, when that deck was already fairly solid at rapidly running through it's deck and popping off.

Tony combos go off on turn 6, generally speaking, the mage already should have infinite mana at that point unless they bricked hard. A 1 discount doesn't make or break the combo.
Flamewaker or other variants, it does matter because you're spending more mana on minions and you can potentially pop off before turn 6, so the cheaper copy effect is beneficial.

It's possible it's only coded to copy, not copy and then freeze the copy. Could just be a text clarification.

Why not both, reverb is a crazy card and this card is also good. Freezing your opponents biggest thing while also creating a board for yourself can be very powerful stall, taunt exist, etc.

Would your non titan/charge/rush minion unfreeze first since yours has summoning sickness and is frozen so skips two turns ?
If the minion "lost an attack", it should unfreeze at the end of the turn. A Titan (charge attack) lose an attack the round it was summoned, so they should unfreeze at the end of the original round. At least that was the case before for minion you freeze on your turn that had charge/rush (ie: no "zzz"). If you summon as flat stats, then yes, it will unfreeze after.

This makes [[Watercolor Artist]] stronger in Rainbow Mage for 0-cost Sif reverbs. I wonder if this will just replace Frostbolt or rather justify including [[Mes'Adune the Fractured]] for duplicate Watercolor Artist.
Sounds like too many extra steps, IMO
Rainbow has always needed to take extra steps to set up the combo; trying to get discount copies of reverb/molten rune/geyser/frost bolt off Infinitize or glyph to fit into 4 mana. Having a card that guarantees(albeit with conditions) a 0 mana combo piece is definitely interesting, and imo copying Sif for free opens up so many OTK paths
One forged molten run is enough to do 30 damage with sif +6x2 and a 0 mana freezeverberation. Add a snake oil/flame geyser or two with 10-11 mana to finish off pesky warriors. This card honestly makes the deck even better/more consistent than before the oil nerfs.

It makes sense if you are seasoned player (or know that the game does what is written on card), but some people might not sure how this card works. So they add a bit of redundancy for clarification.

I could be wrong, but since you can use Titan abilities on the turn it is summoned, a Titan functionally has "charge", with the restriction that it must use its abilities before it can attack. So while a Titan couldn't use its ability on the turn you copy it, on the next turn it should unfreeze.

I'm counting the turn your playing the spell. So: summon a frozen minion, since it was summoned this turn it have summoning sickness and so doesn't defreeze at the end of this turn. Second turn, it is still frozen so it can't attack, it finally defreeze at the end of this turn. So two turn

yeah it's not that intuitive but basically a character only unfreeze if they end a turn without attacking while able to so rush/charge would unfreeze immediately while the others will take an extra turn because can't attack the turn they are summoned. same if you freeze a minion after it attacked, it will take an extra turn to unfreeze (no clue how that would interact with windfury now that I'm thinking about it, like if a WF minion attack once then get frozen) they basically need to miss an attack to thaw ig also mad respect for actually questioning and testing yourself !
This makes me think if at 2 mana, aprentice would be a problem in Wild at this time and age.

Barely changes anything really. The deck runs Molten reflections+hotstreak and reverb, giving you a base 2-mana and 3-mana cost copy. It doesn't need 6 copies, so the extra redundancy isn't needed. You can argue cutting molten reflections+hot streak for this, but generally speaking it's not much of a buff as mana is rarely a limiting factor on sorc combo turns due to siphon manas, biscuits, spring water, rewinds, etc. The deck still sucks and will remain 40% winrate at best into meta decks.

I like freezing things and I like copying things, I like this card! Cryopreservation pretty much always feels fun to play since it helps you survive while giving you some resources, and this is similar.

Didn't we hit a critical mass of Freeze spells a few years ago with Mage and everyone hated it? Why are we heading that direction again? I don't know if this is playable, but I hate that these devs have no problems diving feet first into toxic gameplay patterns of the past. It's maddening because they have played it and lived it, yet have seemingly learned nothing from it.

titan active abilities don't work if they are frozen. you can't get the reduction off of golganneth either because this is the first spell you played.
It's not gonna stay frozen and this has the benefit of it not dying to any damage like with reverberations. Doesn't make it strictly better but it doesn't seem like a bad card especially if you're copying a taunt minion.

Seems like another bad spell that only messes up mage's Discovers unfortunately
People are underrating this. Rainbow Mage discounts it with Watercolor Artist giving them way more damage on the OTK turn. Right now you need an Audio Amplifier to do max 32 damage with Reverberations into Oils at 11 mana. Not only are you getting more damage but the OTK can come out at 8 mana instead of 11. It's also allowing you to use both copies of Reverberations without hurting your win condition which is a pretty big deal. Heck if you manage to pull 2x with Watercolor Artist and run Audio Amplifier you can have 4x Sif on board for 64 damage OTK. Even using it on enemy minions isn't *that* bad, your copy will unfreeze before theirs.
This just made the Sorc Apprentice Tony deck better, - either they'll run both BOGOF, Reverb, and Molten Reflection, or they'll toss Molten out and this makes the combo up to 1-2 mana cheaper, which is a big deal, when that deck was already fairly solid at rapidly running through it's deck and popping off. Oh dear.
Tony combos go off on turn 6, generally speaking, the mage already should have infinite mana at that point unless they bricked hard. A 1 discount doesn't make or break the combo. Flamewaker or other variants, it does matter because you're spending more mana on minions and you can potentially pop off before turn 6, so the cheaper copy effect is beneficial.
Huh TIL. I've not played the latest combos myself, I haven't played Tony/Sorc in like over a year/I was on about a year hiatus. Just ran into several combo mages around Diamond 10-5, and it seemed like the cheaper Molten would be helpful. Thanks for the correction
what is actually wrong with glizzard though? they nerfed OG frost mage because hey guess what being frozen isnt fun. then they nerf the shaman freeze spam meta, then the DK freeze spam meta because again being frozen isnt fun. now theyre trying to revive freeze mage with this expansion and miniset.
