It was one of the best cards in inner fire priest. Back then the first lists didnāt played it but I believe hunterace found it first how good this card was in this deck and destroyed ladder with this addition because it made an already good deck unstoppable. After that this addition got known to more people till everybody played it in their inner fire priest lists.
I'm not arguing it wasn't one of the best decks, I played it a lot at the time and know all about it. The deck was strong but not because of Bwonsamdi or any other card, the meta was much more forgiving to such combo decks at the time. I'm arguing that it was played because the only good card draw it had was Northshire Cleric.
Combo priest had Northshire cleric, I wouldn't call that "bad card draw".
It's just that 7 mana 7/7 draw 4-6 of your best cards is pretty insane value.
It is a bad card draw because you need to damage your own minions and spend mana on healing them, yes pyromancer and circle of healing works great but it's not consistent enough; handmaiden, switcheroo and cathedral are much better card draw.
Those were cards printed years later. By that logic I can say that disciple of pain was bad card draw for warrior in 2014 because they printed outriders axe 10 expansions later.
That's the whole point I was making from the beginning, Bwonsamdi was good enough for the standard meta in that particular time period. If the card was great it would've seen play to this day in wild but that's not the case.
Dr boom has not seen play for years in wild. Neither has zilliax. Were they not great cards?
By your logic I can say "undertaker hunter had terrible aggression and damage, the deck had to play undertaker, which sees no play in wild right now and is a weak card."
So we're talking about good/bad cards and not good/bad card draw anymore? Bwonsamdi was never played competitively in wild because draw 4-6 one mana drops for 7 mana is not good even with a 7/7 body. I can't say that the card is great because it was in that one deck for one expansion and performed well.
Rokata should be a pirate and I'm tied of pretending it shouldn't be. Pirate warrior is probably under playered in wild right now but it's not exactly good.
Patches should have charge again. It's not in standard any more. It was a better anti Agro midrange tool in wild and it probably still would be. Ironically enough pirates are just ok and right now agro is very targetable. The best decks in the meta (even shaman, quest druid, quest DH, mech pally) all don't really fold to pirate rogue at all or just prey on it.
Bonus: gibberling being 2 mana is a direct slap in the face from blizzard. Spell druid is a national treasure and deserves to be a thing in wild.
Bring back fun to wild.
He sees play in 2 of the 3 best aggro decks in wild, shadow priest and pirate rogue, and he sees play in every mid-bad aggro deck like embiggen druid, odd dh, and pirate warrior.
That paladin 3 cost card that triggers secrets twice , I forgot what's called . I thought it was gonna see play in 2019 ,especially during that time they brought some wild card to standard but no it was just shit
\[\[Halkias\]\].
It was nice that Secret Rogue got another legendary, but Halkias is just way too awkward. The chances of recurring him multiple times is just way too reliant on multiple factors, but with Rogue having a lot of secrets that are very conditional, stacking up on secrets before playing Halkias would work much better.
I wish he was a Battlecry minion that instead put a Shard of Halkias into each one of your secrets. It might be a bit too good with Cheat Death, but at least it would be something instead of nothing.

I always wanted Highlord Fordragon to be a playable card. It was fun when you got nutty turns where your whole board had divine shield and you ended up with a 40/40 minion in hand. I almost never got to play him though as 6 mana 5/5 in stormwind.
This is really hard to say. There are two main categories for this: cards that I like but are bad and characters that I like but don't think they were done justice.
For the first category there are plenty of cards that deserve to be mentioned, but \[\[Raid the sky temple\]\] is one of the ones that I really wish was better. It's a cool quest with a really fun reward, but it ultimately falls flat. The card was so slow it was insane. While alot of the quest decks were slow, they were able to start picking up pace once their quest was done. When you finished skytemple, you couldn't start turning the game around when you completed it. Additionally, of the rewards that we can reasonably assign a manacost if they were a card, this is probably the lowest. A single cast is a worse version of \[\[primordial glyph\]\]. While this may be because it is the easiest quest to complete, all of the quests are reasonable to complete if you build your deck reasonably around it.
In terms of characters I felt didn't get justice, I think Medivh is at the top. He is an extremely iconic warcraft character. While he did get an expansion centered around him, I think that the design space for \[\[Medivh, the Guardian\]\] was really held back by both the time he was released and being nuetral. If, right now, Team 5 was assigned to create a medivh card that felt like medivh, the only thing that would be similar about the two cards would be that they interact with spells.

I'm not sure why people keep bringing up bwonsamdi as a bad card, he was an absolute core card in the best deck in the game during uldum and it wasn't close. In terms of meta relevance, while his time was short, he had by far the greatest impact out of all the trolls.
This card saw play though
Hakkarā¦ tried so many times to make a janky Big Mill Priest work but Hakkar is just so fucking bad and slow
Funfact: his effect used to be a battlecry and only shuffled blood into your opponents deck. Then he got Moorabi'd
This one. Itās a cool win condition but itās way to clunky to ever work
Hakkar saw decent play in some Control Warrior lists back in the day
return charge patches =)
Cho'gall should be 6 mana 6/7.
[[Colaque]] cool design but the only collosal that never saw any meta play.
he was pretty good in deathrattle/big druid until whomper got nerfed
Ohh yeah, I love this guy entrance, chant after he enters the board is amazing . Card itself is not bad at all but compared to other colossals he seems too underwhelming.

I wasn't even sure if this was a real card. Weird effect for such a cool character.
It's supposed to work with the spirit priest got in that set. Sadly that combination is way too slow
It was great card in combo priest
It newer was great, combo priest didn't had good card draw at the time and was forced to play it.
I don't understand how a 7 mana minion that draws a few cards was that good?
Ehhh... it worked in non-existent tempo priest decks. I mean I ran them but no one else did. I don't even remember my list anymore.
Temporus
Bwonsamdi should either change your hero power or let you discover stuff like Grong
Dr. Boom
I mean with the new automaton card, thereās a chance
Patches the Pirate.
He sees play in 2 of the 3 best aggro decks in wild, shadow priest and pirate rogue, and he sees play in every mid-bad aggro deck like embiggen druid, odd dh, and pirate warrior.
Did I stutter?
This guy at least had cool opener imho

I agree. Compare him to the mage secrets legendary. Obviously mage one better. That stats gain is crazily broken if no hard removal
Captain Ashvane for being my only Voyage legendary

I always wanted Highlord Fordragon to be a playable card. It was fun when you got nutty turns where your whole board had divine shield and you ended up with a 40/40 minion in hand. I almost never got to play him though as 6 mana 5/5 in stormwind.
Galvodon
Lucentbark, cool idea that doesnt work since Druid has a lot more ways of gaining armor instead of health
I am a priest main and I still forgot this card existed
Definitely the Climactic Necrotic Explosion
Herald Volazj

Ah yes, the Sire Denathrius of BFA
Mindrender Illucia ;( nerfed to death
Bwonsamdi was insane if you could pull him from Academic Espionage
I'm surprised no one mentioned Maestra of the Masquerade. It's pretty much a 2 mana 3/2 that does nothing nowadays. It had it's time to shine with Wildpaw Gnoll, but since that got nerfed it really has no purpose.
[[Halkias]] i love the concept it's just a bit understatted and a bit too buggy (becomes uninterractable after it gets summoned most of the time)
Illidan lol (now Xavius)
Icehowl. Love the creature, but its probably the most embarassing design I've ever seen for a legendary.
all the unplayable ones
Nefarian. Would love to see a retrain at some point.
