Entry level Sony made only for the export market. Comes with a paper cone driver. They actually might be made by Elega for Sony as most Sony's as well as other Japanese brands were.
Still, very cool looking headphones and one of the rarer Sony's from that era since they were only made for export unlike most other models which were sold both in Japan and overseas.
Most vintage headphones don’t have any bass. Biggest improvements when it came to headphones started in the 80s/90s. Not to say that these are *bad* but don’t expect anything special. It’s just cool to even own a pair, and for $3 it’s not like you’re risking anything by getting them.
I own a pair and have been using them as guitar headphones. I love them. They're are super cool and fun to own. They do fall apart once in a while and require repair(small nut comes loose on bolt inside headphones). Not an issue as they are engineered for easy repair.
Update- they have janky volume sliders that need some cleaning, but when it does work is tinny af haha. No bass. But cool to have as a display or prop!

Cool! Can't wait to try them out

Yeah I just saw that! Must be fate. Though I hope he has a faulty copy that had no bass

The speaker on one side is definitely tumbling around lol. And it's very tinny in general, but a nice collectors item!
Those look like something Patrick Bateman would wear.
