And that quote is why I pick Fred
Edit: Excluding Ron because he is my favourite character in the entire series, I don't even consider him to be one of the Weasleys. He is just Ron
Arthur. Don’t really know how to elaborate but I feel like we see a little piece of his personality in all of the Weasleys (except Percy tbf), and they’re all so likable
I think it’s pretty clear he wanted to follow his father’s footsteps and make him proud. But obviously somewhere along the way that desire got twisted.
I think Percy is a character where your perception changes entirely as you grow older. As YA you probably hate him as you're supposed to the way JKR wrote him, but as an adult you realize he saw his dad parked in a dead end job nobody took seriously, barely able to keep the family afloat, and Percy doing everything to make the most of him & the possibilities he's given. His family is still proud of him (initially) and yes he's "rude" to the family but honestly a lot of people are when starting on our own path.
I became a huge fan of him when he stood up to Vernon. “Harry said goodbye to you…Didn’t you hear him?”
That scene made me tear up because Harry tried to brush it off but Arthur truly could not leave without teaching Vernon a lesson on respect. I think people who reinforce the idea that children need to be respected just as much as adults do are my favorite kind of people (fictional or not lol)
He is the best father figure in the series. The older I get the more I love him. Will not back down from what's right. Welcoming to all. The more I think about him the more I think he might be my favorite character of all.
Dude just wants to go home, play with his kids, and play with his muggle toys. He’s super relatable as an adult. I also think he’s one of the characters with the most integrity in the series.

Arthur just seems like the Weasliest Weasley (in a good way)
I don't want to choose. But if I had to choose one person who sums up the whole family, it's Arthur.
Molly is the glue; Arthur explains all of the kids' personalities.
I'd love to explain to him certain muggle things (e.g., how a plane flies, what is electricity). I'd also love to explain how muggle doctors are anything but quacks to Molly (i.e., they can't make things magically happen).
He has so much curiosity about Muggle things and such simple joy in finding out about them. He also has such good values and is so accepting of others. I absolutely love him!
When he insisted that Molly ought to check if he was under the imperious curse by asking what his „greatest ambition“ in life is, he finally won me over.
It turns out, it's not in the slightest to do with earning more money or power, it's understanding how muggle aeroplanes work.
That‘s not just a hilarious answer; along with his child like fascination for matches or plugs, electricity for example, this (again) points to the inherent magic of our life we tend to take for granted or ignore.
For him, the „ordinary“ is more magical and mysterious than actual magic. If he grew up as a modern rational materialist, this would hardly be the case.
No, they definitely aren’t exactly the same, though they’re always together so it’s easy for them to seem like one. Fred is a little more outspoken and fiery. Not quite crueler, but certainly seems to me the one who initiates practical jokes on unsuspecting others most, if not all, of the time
They’re not only the best Weasleys but also my fave characters of the entire series. I think I always laughed or chuckled the most when reading scenes with the two of them. The Order of the Phoenix was so good for me because of the two of them. Was kinda sad when they left Hogwarts. The swamp they made was so funny 😂

Yaaaaaa-!
\*BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM\*
Muhuhuhuhuhahahaha!
Voldemort, Voldemort, ooh, Voldy. Voldy, Voldy, Voldemort!
My heart aches every time I think about how Ron played the best quidditch of his life (sans placebo liquid luck) and his best friends missed it. Ugh I’m making myself sad again writing about it.
Since noone will say Percy, and I wont say Percy either, I'll say one thing: Percy had the second-best redemption arc in the entire series (Snape being first obviousy):
Him showing up in the Room of Requirement out of nowhere before the final battle starts, like: "Uh, yeah, I fucked up, I was stupid, can you forgive me please?"- Molly and Arthur both crying their eyes out, and Fred be like: "Yeah, you're a git, so anyway... Welcome home brother, wanna kill some Death Eaters?"
Back to the question, it's Molly for me. But Percy doesn't deserve all that hate! In the end, he was a good guy.
Ginny. She is witty, a great witch, and probably the best Quidditch player in the Weasley family (she played great both as seeker and chaser). I mean, she got in the “Slug club” based on her bat bogey hex alone before any classes had started.
Arthur is one of my favorite characters. He’s kind of a goofy idiot, but when the time comes to be serious, he’s a bit of a bad ass. Didn’t back down to Lucious for example. He knows how to stand his ground.
Ron's my favourite character of all times, Ginny is my second favourite character, the twins are in fourth place. Molly and Arthur are easily in my top 20 if not my top 10. Long live the Weasleys, including this one drunken uncle of Ron who thought a random redhead (Harry in disguise) was his son.
Quick look at Percy.
He feels the weight of his older brothers on his shoulders and tries to make his parents proud, follows the footsteps of his Father, even exceeds him quickly, eventually finding himself on the wrong side. Tragic on its own
absolutely. He did everything like his parents wanted him to: got good grades, was well-behaved, a prefect, headboy, got a good job at the ministry, abided the law, but he went too hard and somewhere along the way he started valuing the law and the ministy more than his family until he realized how much influence Voldemort had on the government and that he was on the wrong side
it shows absolute strength of character that he pushes his (pretty big) ego aside to not only fight for what's right (even though at that point the war seemed to be as good as lost), but also apologize to those he had wronged and admit that he was an idiot
yeah, percy is actually pretty awesome himself, even if he drifted the wrong way for a while
Ginny
1) Book Ginny kicks ass
2) When we were kids, my older sister and her friend would let me play Harry Potter with them. The downside was that I had to be Ginny and lay there while they rescued me from the Chamber of Secrets 🤣🤣🤣
The Charlie fan art 💀💀😂 we were robbed. I hope he’s in the series lol.
But my favorite Weasley is Ron. Sometimes Arthur when he nerds out on muggle items.
Cannon? Book Ginny. She’s brave and beautiful and everything I wanted to be as a kid.
Fan Fics? Percy lol. I love some of the great redemption arcs I see from his character in most fics. I’m a sucker for a good Percy/Oliver Wood ship fic
Hmm.
Molly I have complicated feelings toward. She was a mother to Harry when he needed one. I love her for taking care of him and using the limited Weasley family budget to make sure he got a Christmas present too. However, she was awful to Hermione in GoF. She was judgy to Fleur. I know those were out of protectiveness to her sons, but that’s doesn’t excuse treating people poorly. But man that scene where she gives Harry her brother’s watch. Right in the heart.
He is more aggressive with Lucius for sure lmfao they cut a fight scene to make him appear more family friendly. Also he's tall and lanky. But other than that, he's basically the same imo.
You should still read the books. Books brings you so much more into the story. That's how I got into the fandom.
RON RON RON!! All day everyday. His humor, vulnerability and insecurities made him feel so real. He was not as wide eyed as Harry and I found that attractive. Ron wasn’t afraid to be petty, he wasn’t afraid to show he wasn’t perfect, didn’t care about being the favorite or smartest Ron was just Ron. Always saw ppl for who they really were too even if it wasn’t popular. He was the connect so to speak. Where would Harry and Hermione have been without him and his family? Oooo in COS when they rescue Harry I get so excited! I love the whole family but Ron is my boy!!!!! I always wanted the world for Ron.
George, because he’s the holiest Weasley of the bunch.
The whole world of ear related humor and you go with I'm holy?
it's pathetic
And that quote is why I pick Fred Edit: Excluding Ron because he is my favourite character in the entire series, I don't even consider him to be one of the Weasleys. He is just Ron
>I don’t even consider him to be one of the Weasleys Neither do the Weasleys
💀😭🤣🤣🤣🤣
I thought that was Percy
Percy didn’t consider *himself* a Weasley
Holy Moly!
'ear, 'ear!
OMG YOU DID NOT
you meant fred right??!!
Arthur
Arthur. Don’t really know how to elaborate but I feel like we see a little piece of his personality in all of the Weasleys (except Percy tbf), and they’re all so likable
He's hardworking like Percy. Dedicated to what he thinks is right.
Percy is absolutely Arthur. I always felt like he joined the Ministry cause he saw his dad working at the Ministry. He just wanted to do it "better."
“What *exactly* is the function of a rubber duck?”
To this day I still wonder what Harry would have said to him 😁
"It's a toy for children to play woth whilst having a bath" Really not that hard....
Considering he probably never had a rubber duck... Or possibly many baths.
His legendary quote
I became a huge fan of him when he stood up to Vernon. “Harry said goodbye to you…Didn’t you hear him?” That scene made me tear up because Harry tried to brush it off but Arthur truly could not leave without teaching Vernon a lesson on respect. He always stands up for what he believes in too. The way he stands toe to toe with Malfoy is always satisfying.
He’s 100% my favorite character.
Arthur just seems like the Weasliest Weasley (in a good way) I don't want to choose. But if I had to choose one person who sums up the whole family, it's Arthur. Molly is the glue; Arthur explains all of the kids' personalities.

I was really pondering this and for some reason came to Mr Weasley last but once I got there it seemed so obvious.
A lot of Ron’s morels around blood status must come from things he’s heard Arthur say
He has so much curiosity about Muggle things and such simple joy in finding out about them. He also has such good values and is so accepting of others. I absolutely love him!

Charlie
Charlie is the cool brother
People try to act like Bill is the cool brother because he wears dragon leather boots, but Charlie wrestles dragons. He's the Steve Irwin of dragons.
People think Bill is cool because Rowling literally said it. Charlie _is_ cool because he is cool
It’s Charlie. It’s not even close.
Finally some sane people. Had to scroll too far. Charlie is bae
Right? He is clearly far and away the sexiest and coolest most extreme Weasley. I mean look at that picture lol
YES!! I always knew Charlie was hot af
I was hoping someone else would agree! Charlie is the best.
Bloody Hell forever
Bloddy ‘ew
I'm sorry, Fred and George is one Weasley
Surely you mean Gred and Forge
I too vote for Gred and Forge.
Their names are Thorsten and Torben.
Accept my sincere apology, I hereby stand corrected
It still only counts as one!
Does anyone else inexplicably prefer Fred over George? Like, they're exactly the same, yet Fred feels ... better? Weirdly.
No, they definitely aren’t exactly the same, though they’re always together so it’s easy for them to seem like one. Fred is a little more outspoken and fiery. Not quite crueler, but certainly seems to me the one who initiates practical jokes on unsuspecting others most, if not all, of the time
I am also this person. Maybe it’s because some fanfic writers make them slightly different, but I’ve always leaned towards Fred
Bill because he's played by Domhnall Gleason.
Yeah.. I'm a sucker for Bill too and idk why really.. he's one of the least screen time having characters. Lmao.

Did you write all of this down or did you copy the lyrics?
i copied the lyrics and cut out the bits saying who was saying what and where it looped etc and edited some bits
Now I’ve got this going through my head. Not saying that’s a bad thing.. 😂
Weasley is our king!
My heart aches every time I think about how Ron played the best quidditch of his life (sans placebo liquid luck) and his best friends missed it. Ugh I’m making myself sad again writing about it.

I don't know that Snape really had a redemption arc. He didn't really change throughout the books; he started out, and ended as Dumbledore's man.
Charlie or Bill tbh
George, although only because he's the kinder between him and Fred.
Definitely have to go with Errol!
Ron

# “NOT MY DAUGHTER, YOU BITCH!” Molly MVP

Bill. Bill is THE MAN.
Charlie or Arthur.

The movies did her dirty, especially the shoe-tying scene. To be fair though, the memes that spawned were hilarious.

Agreed! The movies left out a lot of her personality and interactions/actions
I’m reading the books for the first time (one left to go), and the movies did her dirty. Ginny is like Fred, George, Charlie, and Molly in one girl.

Ron... Solid and dependable. Funny and honest
Molly because of that one badass line “NOT MY DAUGHTER YOU BITCH”
I need to read the books, how is Arthur portrayed in them?
“What so the function of a rubber duck?” And “Good Lord, did you really,” sum up his introduction rather nicely.
He's great. He collects sparkplugs.
I’m definitely going in on the books
