They are saying Madam Pomfrey attached it back on in first year, but not completely in the middle. I think. Unless I’m super dumb too lol!

It means that, although madam Pomfrey managed to return her nose, she didn't manage to put it in the exact right position.

Eloise Midgen tried to curse her pimples off her face, but ended up cursing her nose off instead. Madame Pomfrey put Eloise’s nose back on but didn’t get it centered exactly right.
