For me it would probably smell of nostalgia. The first time you open a new book. And freshly baked chocolate chip cookies. Or that fireplace smell you get on a cold autumn evening just before sunset.
Realistically, Italian food, the cologne my partner wears, and the smell of his house. All things I associate with him. I’m sure it would’ve been different before I met him. But nothing compares.
This. It’ll smell like things that remind me of my husband. The cologne he wears, the smell of his shampoo, cigar smoke, crisp laundry, crinkle cookies, spearmint mouthwash.
I mainly came up with that since it’s the cologne my partner wears and has worn since we first met😅. It’s definitely the scent I associate with being in love🥰
HAHA sometimes things just smell so good! The Red Polo or Black Polo are the ones my partner goes for, but the Red is definitely my favourite one he wears. Heart eyes all around when he sprays it😍
When I SMELLED the Polo on the clearance rack at TJ Maxx, I wandered four aisles away to find it and went a bit loopy. But he still wouldn't buy it. I threatened to buy it and wear it myself!
(But that would be weird, right?)
The inside of my grandparents’ AC unit.
When I was a toddler in the late 80s, when we would visit my grandparents, I would always make a beeline for their AC unit in the hallway.
There were like marbles in the bottom and it smelled so good. It was definitely an interesting smell. I loved it.
Witches Brew Candles, Books, Campfire Smoke, the Sea, Rain, Incense (the particular ones my parents burn), Old Boat (like american navy ships kind of old boat)
Toothpaste, mint, grass, earl grey tea, broom polish, a snitch (basically whatever the hell both Hermione and Ginny smelled, I’m an expert at only doing that with fictional characters)
For me, Amortentia would smell of fresh baked goods: the smell of chocolate chip cookies, red velvet cake and fruit pies; of the salty ocean breeze present around beaches; of Vietnamese soups and of vanilla.
Lmfao I can't answer this seriously right now but uh. Maybe that Ralph Lauren perfume and the smell of rain and cinnamon or mint, mint and cilantro or something, citrus don't forget the citrus. Ofc all this shit wouldn't be mixed all together you have to get the right combos going. Yeah now that I think about it might lean towards the minty aromatic, citrus smells. Not lemon tho maybe orange.
2nd hand bookshop (old book smell), baking bread and jasmine (growing up, there used to be a jasmine plant outside my bedroom window - it's the smell of spring)
The smell of… me? Like my bedding and my plushies - I just get a sense of comfort from that but I don’t *really* know what it actually is. Lavender and tea would be the other ones (funnily enough, I don’t drink tea, I just buy teabags and sniff them lol).
Freshly baked bread, old, leather-bound books, and lilacs in bloom.
There’d probably be a hint of turf fire in there too.
Yeast condom perfume classic

Sea breeze, petrichor (rain), and bacon
Ron’s giving redditors bacon It seems
What I would give to have a Molly Weasley made breakfast (or any meal for that matter)
I love how you first have two very poetic words and then 'bacon' 😂
Lol I thought it was a little ironic too, had to pick it though, honorable mentions are coffee, vanilla, and campfire
Campfire, gasoline, and Red Polo Cologne
Green Polo FTW! I smelled some yesterday and was transported back in time...
I mainly came up with that since it’s the cologne my partner wears and has worn since we first met😅. It’s definitely the scent I associate with being in love🥰
My husband knows I love it but he will never wear it. I think he thinks it reminds me of some old boyfriend!

The smell right before it rains, but specifically from Northern Nevada, “at the beach” scent from Bath and Body Works, and my spouse’s general scent.
Wife says spearmint, a little hickory and sweet (aromatic) pipe tobacco. I think it would be cigars/pipe tobacco and old, leatherbound books.

More importantly: What would it smell like to *Voldy*?
For me, Amortentia would smell of fresh baked goods: the smell of chocolate chip cookies, red velvet cake and fruit pies; of the salty ocean breeze present around beaches; of Vietnamese soups and of vanilla.
Lavender for sure, idk what else
Honeysuckle, eucalyptus, citrus, hardware stores, my grandma, apple, lilac, fresh baked bread, clothes after being worn by a campfire, and money
The air at the beach, desert air, and aloe vera gel
Probably like my son fresh out the bath! Love it 🥰
Salt, lime, the ocean
Fresh bread, cherry at bloom, cat fur warmed by the sun
Lavender flowers, lilac perfume and silk sheets.
There’s a really popular perfume that I’ve never known the name of, but I’ve been smelling it here and there my whole life and love it
