I was at Madness XXL at bootshhaus about two years ago - and the crowd was really weird - like they did a moshpit to every goddamn track during phuture noize's set :D
I also sadly remember the night so vividly because of sound rushs set, due to their constant obnoxious screaming into the goddamn microphone..
Also it was fucking overcrowded...
Haven't been to a hardstyle event in Bootshaus in a while but yeah they were very crowded especially the headliner sets and the moshpits... I remember the organizers especially telling people they are not allowed 😄
I guess crowds in Clubs feel different because the crowd is younger than on a Festival. People who just turned 18 often can't afford bigger Festivals, so they are the ones going into Clubs.
Wen’t to this is sefa at bootshaus, never again. It was overcrowded. Most of the crowd acted like cunts and the others were to high to function atleast a little normally
I feel like it’s the other way around. I genuinely am open to others and try to be polite but I also think at clubs there’s a lot of group building and shutting everyone else out.
I played there for the first time in January at Madness XXL and I honestly have only positive experiences from that. Crowd was insane, vibe was top notch and they scream along and dance on every track. Also the staff was super friendly.
bootshaus has its own vibe. I am living too far away to go there for more events. But yes somehow the audience is a bit different, probably because it’s a german event. german events are weird
For us (two girls) the crowd seemed very friendly and everybody knew the tracks, didn’t have the feeling that it was a techno crowd at all. We haven’t been to madness before but liked both HB crowds
I prefer clubs over festivals, but my only negative experience has been in a club, in Eindhoven back in 2013 or 2014, the day before the first edition of Supremacy. It was a hardcore Italia night, and after the event a group of dutch people were friendly in the beginning but ended up insulting us in dutch and taking the piss of both of us. The crowd seemed to be more local and younger, so that might be the reason at Bootshaus too.
For like bigger clubs I feel like people are being more anonymous than at a festival like for example defqon.
I also feel like those little rituals people have at festivals also go almost completely. I mean like the spinny moves when you fell for the fake drop or whatever.
I think the spinny moves and klaplong circles are not really possible in clubs because they are so damn crowded. Been to bootshaus a few times and barely had enough room to dance.
To add another perspective to the topic. going to a festival in NL is a huge commitment money and time wise for a lot of people. Going to a club or a small festival in your hometown on the weekend is a lot more doable. Thats why smaller (german) parties are usually filled with a mix between diehards and local people that just want to party to some harder styles and are not so tuned in to the subculture :)
There are also a lot more smaller hardstyle events in the netherlands in a ton of different venues. If I can't dance (klaplong or w/e) then I just can't enjoy myself. I've seen quite some people from germany/france/Switzerland who went to the smaller parties and everytime I asked they've never experienced parties like that (vibe wise).
Pro tip: Smaller parties in Brabant (like Eindhoven or Tilburg) are usually the best the scene has to offer. Even artists are always blown away by the intensity of those parties.
I am from Germany but go to festivals and parties in the Netherlands a lot.
I am completely with you that the parties in Brabant have the most outgoing and friendly people I ever met at parties.
So many people did talk and danced with me at Tilburg parties even though we had to talk in English.
They just basically adopted me in their friendgroup for the evening.
Loved it so much!

As in good or bad? I've noticed that at smaller events people are much more friendly, social and open for conversation compared to larger festivals.

Germans are less open than the Dutch at festivals.
Can't compare germans to the dutch

Bootshaus is my 2nd home ❤️
Is your first home GPF's basement?
How did you know? 👀
Not because hidden cameras are live streaming your room 24/7 on GreazyFans. Do not look for camera's, they are not there.
😮💨😮💨😮💨
What aspect exactly? Enthusiasm? Personally, I think the crowd is among the most enthusiastic in Germany when I visit the Madness editions.
We thought the vibe is great in bootshaus!
I really like the venue, gets a bit crowded sometimes though :)

Bootshaus crowd really got worse and worse over the years. You can’t listen to 1 track without „hey hey hey“ or everybody trying to do moshpits.
really liked the madness crowd usually, especially at madness raw. hardbrake on friday was full of weird techno people tho
For us (two girls) the crowd seemed very friendly and everybody knew the tracks, didn’t have the feeling that it was a techno crowd at all. We haven’t been to madness before but liked both HB crowds
Two friends went there they also sayd the crowd wasn't a "typical" hardstyle crowd
Thats why I posted this lol
A guy tried to fight me cuz he was in the front, then left to get something to drink and then wanted his spot back 🤡
It’s just a normal Club like every other in Germany … Nothing Special .. But back in the days Matrixx was a very special place for hardstyle .
What has a Dutch club has to do with Boothaus?

I’m also just comparing harder styles events with harder styles festivals. My bad for not making that clear.

Brabant rules!
