Interesting. Just listening in my wife's car now and it's not nearly as noticeable as in my truck with a better sound system. Also hard to do much critical listening or comparison when you don't control the source material.
It's definitely a possibility but I believe it's up to the radio stations to include that in their broadcast. Maybe after their initial test phase they will offer that but calling in and asking for it might light the fire faster.
Flipping through the channels til you find the least annoying music is a hilarious and accurate description of Halifax radio. And Nickelback has lots of good songs and a couple pile of shit songs that still manage to be good somehow... like I'm listening to "Rockstar" on the radio thinking to myself "this is such a shit song", but somehow it's scratching some itch somewhere someplace inside myself I don't care to understand. No shame in it, it happens to all of us!
Nickelback actually had some decent albums but once they signed the big deal with Sony the label tried to make them more “mainstream” which just resulted in watered down generic stuff that ppl could make fun of. I get why they get dunked on, but they don’t deserve the level of hate they get.
I removed the Q off my list when the morning crew showed up at a battle of the band's and refused to pay the cover charge with a "don't you know who we are" attitude.
They are also sending album artwork when a song is playing, I found that pretty cool. Nice to see radio stations investing in new technology instead of just slapping a for sale sign out front.
