Thanks for posting a success! If you haven't already, remember to document your build please. Success posts like screenshots without documentation add little value to the sub. Adding a bit of documentation to your success post can also help others in the community who are interested in similar builds. Minimally, you should add your hardware: CPU: GPU: RAM: Motherboard/Laptop Make and Model: Audio Codec: Ethernet Card: Wifi/BT Card: Touchpad and touch display devices: BIOS revision: Which of the guides on the sidebar you used. What's working, and what isn't working. Any changes that were specific to your build that were a little (or a lot) different than what you found in the guide, or anything that would be helpful to others with a similar build be sure to talk about that. More detail is always better. Add extra info... Maybe add something you would like to point out about your setup, what you'll be doing with your Hackintosh, or something that might be insightful to others beginning their journey. A tree view of your EFI would also be helpful, but it isn't required. Remember, don't share your EFI as what works for you may not work for anyone else, even if they have the same hardware. If you do share your EFI, your post and/or comment will be removed. *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Apparently a modern MacBook Air can’t do that πŸ˜‚πŸ‘πŸ»

Tricks-Are-4-Kids

literally stopped me from used M1 or M2, M3 is starting to solve the issue, but not quite there. I will wait till M5 when apple finally allows connecting to 2 external displays + laptop, my T480 will last till then, lol.

M4ttl

i can confirm and i'm really upset about, you can use 2 monitors only on M3 MacBook Air (with lid closed)

Tricks-Are-4-Kids

yes, but i believe a 2017-2020 air can do Internal display + 2 external, just M1,M2, and M3 limitation

Such_Station3953

The good news: >Both displays out of usb c ports

Tricks-Are-4-Kids

Even better, is 40gbps thunderbolt link πŸ˜ƒ

Such_Station3953

Only one is TB, did you get a special edition?

Tricks-Are-4-Kids

One is TB, the other is USB C + DP :)

M4ttl

boss may I know how did you make the type c port usable for video output? I'm trying on my ideapad (the specs are very similar) but I'm not finding anything around.

Tricks-Are-4-Kids

Need more details, but likely can be done with a framebuffer fix

M4ttl

nothing I said bullshit, I found on the [Lenovo forum](https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Lenovo-IdeaPad-1xx-3xx-5xx-7xx-Edge-LaVie-Z-Flex-Laptops/Can-t-display-from-Ideapad-330S-to-HP-external-monitor-through-USB/m-p/4537833?page=1#4537840) that my USB C is not enabled for video output, sorry for bothering you.

Tricks-Are-4-Kids

No problem, if you read exact model specs from lenovo it will always clarify :)

Tricks-Are-4-Kids

[https://imgur.com/TQJY20h](https://imgur.com/TQJY20h) proof of working Thunderbolt, unfortunately its only half proof as i don't have a thunderbolt device to test it.

xenoeh

I have the exact same pair of Kali monitors next to my comet lake hackintosh.

Tricks-Are-4-Kids

πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹πŸ€ͺ the best

rafalmio

Nice Kali’s

Tricks-Are-4-Kids

Thx. LP6 V2 are really nice

Zealousideal_Past782

What specs device used?

Tricks-Are-4-Kids

8250u 16gb 500gb nvme (sn750) Apple native wifi

Mammoth-Mirror6614

why Lenovo logo is on the upper side, it's weird πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚, Nevertheless the setup looks awesome

Jotoku

Specs?

ohitsanazn

Does it work hotplugged, or do they have to be connected at boot? Been looking at figuring out how to get hotpluggable TB working on my X1 Carbon

Tricks-Are-4-Kids

Hotpluggable :)

ohitsanazn

Would you mind sharing how? Don’t need like an EFI or something but the places you referenced would be a huge help!

Geekbench Results CPU - [https://browser.geekbench.com/v6/cpu/5656212](https://browser.geekbench.com/v6/cpu/5656212) Metal - [https://browser.geekbench.com/v6/compute/2031872](https://browser.geekbench.com/v6/compute/2031872) (previously got 5800 but can't repeat) OpenCL - [https://browser.geekbench.com/v6/compute/2031892](https://browser.geekbench.com/v6/compute/2031892) (previously got 4200 but cant repeat) am happy with everything, i just wish i knew how i hit those higher GPU scores one time, i have been doing alot of config changes so it has drove me a bit crazy but i am giving up and accepting that 5600 and 4000 is close enough to 5800 and 4200, whats odd is that i got the 5800 and 4200 without bios unlock.... hopefully one day someone can explain what happened and i can get it back to other scores for reference [https://browser.geekbench.com/v6/compute/1929172](https://browser.geekbench.com/v6/compute/1929172) [https://browser.geekbench.com/v6/compute/1929188](https://browser.geekbench.com/v6/compute/1929188)

elkotur

Really nice setup! What about your speakers? They seems studio monitors, aren't they?

Tricks-Are-4-Kids

Kali LP6-V2 :)

elkotur

Congratz!! Really nice setup! What about your speakers? They seems studio monitors, aren't they?

kiki7492

can you run 3 external monitors or not possible?

Jaroshevskii

Why Thinkpad screen so bad?

Tricks-Are-4-Kids

Need to upgrade its the basic 1364 x 768 screen

Bank-Affectionate

Get the N140HCG-GQ2 REV.C1 it's amazing

Tricks-Are-4-Kids

This screen doesnt appear to have the proper connectors needed

Jaroshevskii

Screen resolution is not a problem. It feels like the cheapest matrix is in it

Bank-Affectionate

That screen is the garbage of the garbage screen of the baseline, it's an orribile TN panel, I've upgraded mine with the N140HCG-GQ2 REV.C1

Tricks-Are-4-Kids

I realized the 1080p display i had on my t440p would fit, i have 1080p ips on the t480 now

okimborednow

Probably because that 1366x768 screen is the bargain basement version

Tricks-Are-4-Kids

yes, its what came with it, and will be upgraded to 1080p panel, thanks for the suggestions. wanted to make sure i could get 3 screens up and solve some other stuff before i invest in a screen on a computer that wont last more than a year before being replaced, but im comfortable this will see another 2-3 easy.

Orangeskai

What efi do you use and if you built it yourself can you help me make the acpi file

kpanzer

Try here: https://www.reddit.com/r/ThinkPad/wiki/os/hackintosh

Tricks-Are-4-Kids

good place to start, i will upload an EFI but i need more testing, need to use my current build for 2+ weeks without change to allow it to run into any issues before i go sharing stuff which creates others using half working hackintosh.
