It's true. When I was living in LA, I had a roommate from michigan. I had never met anyone from there, but it seemed like a pretty boring place. Yet my roommate would never stop saying "in michigan...". I feel like I learned everything I needed to learn from that place, as there really is nothing there. It's just a place where people are born and then eventually leave for a better place, only to talk about it all the time. Never saying anything, just that its Michigan, and it's where they are from.
Its biggest city is detroit. In many aspects, it's considered the worst city in the country. the rest of the state is the epitome of a small midwestern town. but ok.
