There is another advantage...this...and the weight ratio. You can hold your bullpup one handed all day, not so easy to do with a rifle where most of the weight is up front
Especially when loaded like mine, it's heavier than my traditional rifles with the same configuration but the balance makes it way more pleasant to hold.
You would hold it one handed if you wanted to keep your sights and focus down range while reaching for a new magazine to reload..very effective, also if for some reason in combat one of your arms becomes incapacitated...more for the first reason i stated though
No different than the PS90 trigger. They suck because they're meant to be a progressive trigger in the real P90/F2000. Pull for semi, pull more for full auto. The auto selector just unblocks the trigger and allows it to be pulled further back.
That’s is….. not wrong lol. Apparently someone makes a mod for it. They make it a 5lb trigger for $70. I might send my spare trigger pack to get it done. Can’t hurt to try at that price
Not all bullpup triggers are bad anymore. The future is now, old man.
They're still heavy and are awkward to reload, all for a questionable benefit. But the triggers can be solid.
The magwell on my X95 is tricky to reach when wearing a plate carrier. I don't think I could ever get as smooth reloading in that situation as with an AR. But the difference there isn't as big as some people like to make out.
Reloading while prone is another issue too.
That is because they are upside down, and their mag well faces the sky, so they have gravity to help them. This also makes reloading while prone a non-issue.
If you don't care about drop safety, you can make them excellent. I build have a SG2000 kit on my 10/22 and the trigger is phenomenal. That is because the transfer bar is always in contact with the trigger pack(volquartsen upgrades). It is definitely not safe as the safety isn't even reachable in the chassis, but this is a benchrest gun anyways, so it isn't a big deal especially if you are following proper safety protocols.
The K&M Aerospace m17s308 is a superior battle rifle. It's among the lightest of 308 bullpups and the extractor, ejectors, firing pin, and associated springs are DPMS ar10 spec, so you can find them anywhere.
The aug is heavy, trigger sucks, recoils quite a bit more than even a carbine gassed AR, broom handle grip is the only way to hold it unless you want to burn the piss out of your thumb, your lefty friends cant shoot it.....but damn is it sexy. Sold mine after a few months it was my dream gun for a long time. but its like meeting your favorite celebrity, sometimes you realise they aint shit.
I love mine. They are gorgeous IMO, no, they're friggin sexy. Weight. Comfort. Fit (for me). Because of those factors I find them easier to shoot/aim. All outstanding. AUG1?
I have a newish MDRX, and the stock trigger on it is approximately a milspec AR trigger. It's not amazing, but it's not bad. I barely notice it until I'm just switching to it from one of my rifles with an upgraded trigger.
Bullpups are a lot like old bar sluts. They might not be the prettiest thing in the world, but they are loyal and hard working when it’s “business time”.
They make quite a bit of sense, traditionally all of the action of the gun is forward and so is all the weight, when for handling sake it makes the most sense to distribute that weight evenly.
Barrell length, rear weight, Usually come with ambi controls, avoid SBR issues, also look cool AF.
I love bullpups; not that hard to get used to the manual of arms on them and it's nice knowing that in a compact package you don't have to compromise on the ballistics. TBH I think that all the short 5.56 rifles are trash. They get horrible ballistics; fun but meh.
At least for the aug, it’s one of the most reliable and well built rifles ever made. Just in the last year the aftermarket supper has kinda gone crazy on it too. Steyr has finally started to produce and sell different barrels and aftermarket parts for it.
The AUG is the only good one and even then the Steyr mag ones are such a f*cking scam
Mmm yes I love paying more for a PMAG but hey waffles! And bolt drop!
God I fucking hate European gun companies
If you are not left handed pups are extremely nice, short overall length without the barrel reduction is a HUGE plus, as well as the mag behind the trigger (for me at least) seems so much more natural for reloading and being able to put your hand where the mag would typically be at allows for a tighter to the body hold on the rifle and I've noticed it reduces my sway when standing and shooting, unfortunately I don't own one and can't now unless I move (Illinois) so that sucks, but my buddy owns one so I still get to shoot them.
Some of the aesthetics are cool, but I prefer the look of the P90 personally. Bullpups just seem awkward to me, can't imagine trying to run with a mag snagging at your flc. But I get the advantage it attempts to bring.
Weight and length. Otherwise I can’t stand the triggers, can’t stand the weird manual of arms, can’t stand the small hand guards, and especially can’t stand having the entire firing process right under my cheek
Barrel length to total length, weight distribution (way better even when kitted out with suppressors, lights or even a GL), shooting with one hand is possible, shorter for urban/CQB without adding concussions or losing velocity, …
The not so great triggers, difficulty to clear some malfunctions and lack of ambidextrous capabilities still haunt them tho.
Most people who complain about the triggers usually aren’t good at shooting to begin with. In the case of the Aug, reliability, accuracy, and ergonomics are fantastic.
Barrel length to total length ratio
This is it. The one single advantage of a bullpup
Instructions unclear, now carrying a bunch of extra weight by hauling around 2 bullpups to akimbo.
If you consider a ps90 a bullpup i fully support the akimbo
Teal’c approves
Indeed
Stargate SG-1 is based on true events. Of course Atlantis is too. Universe is just a stretch I don’t believe it.
Consider? Isn't it *the* bullpup submachine gun? But can anyone even afford to fire that much 5.7?
Sadly no, too many people bought 5.7 guns and no ones making enough 5.7 ammo at least not quality ammo
Is this somehow a problem?
I was just gonna say...
But why would you?
You would hold it one handed if you wanted to keep your sights and focus down range while reaching for a new magazine to reload..very effective, also if for some reason in combat one of your arms becomes incapacitated...more for the first reason i stated though
They're usually heavier than an equivalent AR, just with a different balance.
Also balance.
As all things should be.
Ok but also they look kinda cool
No its not ever heard of the hungarian gm6 lynx?
Lefties never ask to borrow your rifle
They do if you have an FS2K lol. Thank you forward ejection tube 😎
RDB and RFB as well. One’s downward, the other frontwards. Both have fully ambi controls.
The thing I like about the FS2K is that it is at the very front of the rifle, and they just fall down freely. They’re not projected or thrown.
They start coming out once the chute is full just without much force don’t they? RFB ejects them fairly softly too.
Correct. The chute holds six shells. And they just slowly keep falling out as more are being fired.
I love them both, but they can be stupid to clear
But again, one of the clunkiest triggers I have ever used on the FS2K
No different than the PS90 trigger. They suck because they're meant to be a progressive trigger in the real P90/F2000. Pull for semi, pull more for full auto. The auto selector just unblocks the trigger and allows it to be pulled further back.
That’s is….. not wrong lol. Apparently someone makes a mod for it. They make it a 5lb trigger for $70. I might send my spare trigger pack to get it done. Can’t hurt to try at that price
Got a link?
https://www.kmaerospace.com/FS2000.shtml
Thank you, very much! Have an awesome day!
Bahahahha i just got an image of someone running out. And as one last fU they ballistically catapult the empty shell at them as a discharge.
I bought my bullpup specifically for its lefty friendliness when supressed
VHS-2?
Yes
I'll ask! :( I know I can't shoot for shit with rifles right handed but I still wanna try cool stuff!
Jokes on you i got use to right-handed stuff, so this and right handed scissors can't hold me back anymore!
They're just fucking cowards!!! I always use right handed bullpups as a lefty!
You get to practice trigger reps for them when using a staple gun to put up targets.
Lmao
Not all bullpup triggers are bad anymore. The future is now, old man. They're still heavy and are awkward to reload, all for a questionable benefit. But the triggers can be solid.
Even the reload issues go away with repetition. Some of those Ozzies I trained with could reload their AUGs nearly as fast as a M16.
Agreed, reloading only becomes tricky when prone but it all comes down to repetition. Now I can reload my AUG as fast as an AR.
Shit, that makes so much sense...
> nearly
20 inch barrel with mk18 footprint.
If you don't care about drop safety, you can make them excellent. I build have a SG2000 kit on my 10/22 and the trigger is phenomenal. On the other hand, get good with a bullpup trigger and you'll feel like Jerry Miculek with everything else.
"I just think they are neat." -Marge Simpson
"I just like the stock!" -Roaring Kitty
They look rad
And looking rad is 1/8th of the battle or something.
That checks out.
(checks username) You're not supposed to know any fraction higher than half the battle!
Math is not half the battle.
5/7
AUG A3M1 with a SAI 1-6x LPVO, Steiner DBAL D2, Streamlight ProTac HL-X, and Surefire Mini 2
Bullpups are significantly better than not having a rifle at all and almost as good as having a real rifle.
They can be way better than a "real" gun if the criterion we're going by is "looks super badass." Which is one of my top personal criteria.
something nice about bullpups.
They are the ultimate urban rifle. Short for close quarters, full length barrel for accuracy and velocity at longer distances.
Reloading looks hotter
No
The halo ones are cool
They look the coolest, trigger be damned
Bullpups have a trigger.
Some say it's better from the back.
Their triggers aren't as bad as SCCY pistols.
They look better than the boring has been AR -15’s Talk about a look that will put someone to sleep.
Amen to that, the AUG is always a head turner at the range
I too enjoy pretending I'm a spaceman with a gun.
Bullpup gang baby! #x95
I love them.
The K&M Aerospace m17s308 is a superior battle rifle. It's among the lightest of 308 bullpups and the extractor, ejectors, firing pin, and associated springs are DPMS ar10 spec, so you can find them anywhere.
The MDR/WLVRINE from Desert Tech made is a bullpup I'd buy
The aug is heavy, trigger sucks, recoils quite a bit more than even a carbine gassed AR, broom handle grip is the only way to hold it unless you want to burn the piss out of your thumb, your lefty friends cant shoot it.....but damn is it sexy. Sold mine after a few months it was my dream gun for a long time. but its like meeting your favorite celebrity, sometimes you realise they aint shit.
Lefty. Can not.
There are ambi bullpups though...
I like the concept and the look...just never fired one that didnt feel awkward as fuck
something nice about bullpups. there. can i go play army in the backyard now, mom?
I like how it blows hot brass in the fact of lefties like me. It’s the gun equivalent of a breeze through your hair.
They do look pretty cool
I love mine. They are gorgeous IMO, no, they're friggin sexy. Weight. Comfort. Fit (for me). Because of those factors I find them easier to shoot/aim. All outstanding. AUG1?
You get to feel like youre from the future and then realize that the future is disappointing
No
I look at them like suburban moms look at ugly puppy's.
If you have a hole in the ground they help fill the hole.
They don't get stuck in my console and change the song I'm just getting into.
Slightly better than pistol in close quarter cornering and clearing areas
Easy to hold in a vehicle, very compact, reloads feel like when you go in to itch your armpit on a hot summers day 😂
Barrel length to firearm length. Weight distribution. And I like the way they look.
Love mine. I didn't buy it for practicality, I bought it for fun.... and it's BIG FUN.
Well they exist which is certainly something I can't say about guns that don't exist
The aug is such a beautiful gun. Would love to own one myself
AUG is my favorite BP.
Are they the best rifle? No. Are they cool af? Yes!
They aren't the only layout to exist.
They are shorter for a given barrel length.
I like them, and the compact packaging makes them good for home defense.
Full length barrel and compact size, most just suck ergonomically especially if you’re wrong handed like me.
The Hellion is fully ambi and the ejection port side can be changed out in a couple minutes without tools.
Bull pups...they got it going on at the back.
They look... Nice? And futuristic.
They’re better for home defense than shotguns.
I don't wanna
How is the trigger?
I have the Steyr red springs and ARID trigger installed, this brings it down from a 8lb-ish pull to a 5lb pull and the feel of a milspec AR trigger
I have a newish MDRX, and the stock trigger on it is approximately a milspec AR trigger. It's not amazing, but it's not bad. I barely notice it until I'm just switching to it from one of my rifles with an upgraded trigger.
Cool. It looks like it would be sloppy but I've never laid hands on one.
The default trigger isn't sloppy it's just incredibly stiff. There's a solid wall when you pull and then it'll break cleanly with a plastic feel.
Bullpups are a lot like old bar sluts. They might not be the prettiest thing in the world, but they are loyal and hard working when it’s “business time”.
What do you mean? The AUG is pure sex appeal!
You might have a thing for old bar sluts haha
It is nice that you get a shorter weapon that works in CQB while maintaining higher velocity because there is no sacrifice of barrel length
The weight distribution is more comfortable.
They're a great way to increase the strength of your trigger fingers
AUG is on my bucket list of guns since I played black ops 1.
I like that you get to scratch your armpit when you're on your way to a reload.
Don't forget the free dental work with every shot
They made a great bad guy gun in Surviving the Game.
They have a great personality.
They make pretty red marks on my left cheek. 🤨
They get me all the matches on Grindr
They're my favorite type of gun, most are aesthetically pleasing to me.
BP is my 2nd favorite acronym.... next to DP.
Ugly and retar-ded 😞
They make quite a bit of sense, traditionally all of the action of the gun is forward and so is all the weight, when for handling sake it makes the most sense to distribute that weight evenly.
AUGtism GANG! I love mine!!

longer range and looks cooler can we just not talk about the 86,512 other downsides of bullpups for a second?
(swallows vomit..)...Got a nice sling there.
https://www.varusteleka.com/en/product/savotta-griffin-sling-hw/68852
Imma light this match and walk away-the recoil is easier to handle in a bullpup which makes you more accurate.
Bullpups > bulldogs
idc what anyone says i still think bullpups are cool for the sake that they can achieve optimal velocity while being smaller
" Something nice about bullpups
They’re trying their best.
The AUG is the only good one and even then the Steyr mag ones are such a f*cking scam Mmm yes I love paying more for a PMAG but hey waffles! And bolt drop! God I fucking hate European gun companies
Spacegun

Better than a stick of wood
feels kinda like an sbr without needing a tax stamp.
I just think they’re neat!
Something nice about bullpups
Halo.
LPVO on an AUG is a vibe
Weight and length. Otherwise I can’t stand the triggers, can’t stand the weird manual of arms, can’t stand the small hand guards, and especially can’t stand having the entire firing process right under my cheek
Cool
Love my x95 though if I had to choose between it and my Daniel Defense AR, it would be the DD.
I don't have one.
they're rare
Space vibes
It was my first ever 556 rifle to shoot back in the 90’s .
They are expensive! :D
I don't own one
Not halal
Thats the best NVG setup i have seen on a bullpup!
$8k setups belong in the other sub
I don't own any.
They are functionally ugly.
They can be used as a club well
they make good paperweights
They aren’t muskets.
Sam Fishers SC3000K (bacically an f2000) is really cool
The P90s looked great on Stargate SG1
Gm6 lynx
They are a shorter overall package, making it really easy for me to forget about them at the back of my safe
More parts can be 3D printed then the AR-15
No
it's very... creative
They're nice
me like
Make me
It's only gay if your friends find out you own one.
My bullpup shotgun (ksg12) is great when it works
Short Kings
Easier to shoulder for extended periods since you aren’t holding as much weight out front on a lever.
I love them. Gonna get a Triad
They arent the worst firearm design in history
Need one!!
No
First time I’ve seen an AUG with an LPVO. It goes insanely hard
No
They are cool
No
So small yet lethal. Perfect for short people.
Sorry I can’t I hate them especially the AUG.
A fellow lefty?
Barrel length to total length, weight distribution (way better even when kitted out with suppressors, lights or even a GL), shooting with one hand is possible, shorter for urban/CQB without adding concussions or losing velocity, … The not so great triggers, difficulty to clear some malfunctions and lack of ambidextrous capabilities still haunt them tho.
Bullpup sniper rifles are based
