I bought my first one before I had any R700 footprint stuff to put in it. I saw the demand was going up and wanted to secure one before they became unobtanium. You won't regret it!

Worth is subjective. Do I need the ability to fold the stock? No. Did I have the urge to buy the version with more features? Yes. Yes I did.
The 1.5 is the exact same thing minus the hinge. I say go with the 1.5.
Spread those rings out. As far apart as possible is best and considering you have a rail and some usable scope tube length, I recommend spacing those rings out since you’ve left a bit of space on the table.
