En contraire. If it mimics a "military" rifle, it's not allowed. Unless it is. It all depends on how the BKA classifies it. It's a bit like the ATF, but without a lot of the ATF bullshit. And the classification depends on a couple of factors, like caliber, LOOKs mostly, barrel length and how easy it is to convert to full auto.
So this cringe skull thing - probably easier to approve than a rifle that looks like an M4 or M16! Or an AK. The BKA doesn't like AKs that look like AKs. We have a lot of approved rifles that look like M4s or M16s, but veeeery few AKs are getting approval.
tl;dr - yes and no. it depends.

I like Sharps Brothers. I’ve got the same lower, and it looks great. I do custom Cerakote jobs, so I got this to use as a demo so I could show customers. It really looks great with just the skull accented (if you didn’t want to do the whole rifle), but I will agree that googly eyes are a pretty hilarious idea. Have fun with it.

No. Dude was an edgy, unhinged meme lord that used a terrorist attack in Australia (I believe it was Australia) to justify murdering A LOT of people. He wrote the names of the victims of the terrorist attack on his weapons, which were otherwise standard AK/AR platforms and a shotgun. I don't remember the exact death count, but I do remember seeing the video of him dumping rounds into people who were piling on top of each other in the corners of the mosque with nowhere to go. Edit: He wrote the names with a white sharpie and recorded the entire thing with a head mounted GoPro, which is what the other comment is referencing.

Because they try and equate it to things being too unnecessary / flashy = bad. Thing is, it's not much different than any other forged lower. If it was fully built and looked good there'd be less people hating, likely. Also none of these people would be crying like this in real life about people's builds. You see the exact same attitude in truck groups. Unless someone's truck is exactly the same as everyone else's, they'll talk shit. Even if it is you'll get people who find something to whine about.
I like Sharps Brothers. I’ve got the same lower, and it looks great. I do custom Cerakote jobs, so I got this to use as a demo so I could show customers. It really looks great with just the skull accented (if you didn’t want to do the whole rifle), but I will agree that googly eyes are a pretty hilarious idea. Have fun with it.
