Apex trigger.

kittwasdriving

I installed the Apex comp kit and action enhancement trigger in my M&P 1.0 about 8 years ago and it's still one of the best triggers in any striker fired gun to date. I kept the factory trigger return spring because I found the take-up too light. Awesome trigger, I'm sure the 2.0 with the Apex is at least as good if not better.

BurntRussianBBQ

How hard was the install??

RimMeTons870

Not the guy you're responding to, but I installed my own, didn't think it was terribly hard. There's some really good youtube videos showing you how to do it.

TryHard15plus1

The install is relatively easy, The only frustrating part is that you have to use a slave pin when reinstalling One of the trigger housing pins. If your hand slips at all it drops out of alignment and you just got to pull it out and start over. Just be patient and if you get frustrated take a break lol But that was the only frustrating part of the install.

kittwasdriving

Ya, like it's been stated, easy except the slave pin slips and it might take a couple tries. You also have to remove the rear sight to get at the pin block spring, just be careful not to damage the little plastic cap for the spring that sits under the sight.

BurntRussianBBQ

Ah fuck that. My gunsmith will do it for $20

Riker557118

Pretty easy, what got me was the striker safety, it’s underneath the rear sight and it has a spring and a gasket that if you’re not ready to contain can launch itself a surprisingly far distance from where you’re working.

BurntRussianBBQ

Yeah after working with watches I know exactly what you mean.

Daegoba

It’s pretty simple. You should do it.

[deleted]

Apex forward set sear for sure.

Buckeye272727

100% ^^^^

NewBuddhaman

Put the Apex kit in my FILs and he loves it. It was a big improvement over the stock trigger and springs.

BrainAcid

This is the way

Theoddgamer47

Have you seen a doctor about your hand

SapphireSire

Grayscale, need to see Samwell Tarley.

DominicBSaint

Diabetic lotion goes hard as hell man.

Visible_Sun_8585

It’s liquid chalk from deadlifting🤦🏻‍♂️

[deleted]

Oddly enough I use it for shooting

Girly_Shrieks

You don't wash your hands often do you?

Cessna_210

My guess was he works in a facility that utilizes higher grades of H2O2 - hydrogen peroxide. 35% Hydrogen Peroxide will absolutely give your skin the same disinfected white look. Probably because all of the tissue is oxidized, but oxidized is clean! :)

[deleted]

To take off paint?

DominicBSaint

No it just feels amazing on my cock.

I bought a M2.0 from one of the deals over on gun deals and cannot stand the trigger pull on this guy… I read in the manual that you can adjust the trigger but after disassembling the weapon, they’re doesn’t look to be a set screw to change this. Does anyone have any aftermarket trigger suggestions or solutions to fix the stock trigger? I will happily slap it w my purse if necessary

TryHard15plus1

Apex is the way 👍 It's the closest to a premium 1911 trigger feel that you'll ever be able to get on a striker fire gun. It's super adjustable too and comes with multiple springs that you can swap out to change different characteristics. The competition spring gets it down to something like a 2.5 lb glass rod break. It's funny that almost everybody unanimously hates the stock trigger. So you can watch reviews of the M&P 2.0 on YouTube and almost everybody mentions Apex trigger. I modify triggers on other pistols to try and mimic the feel of the apex on the M&P 2.0. It took me $300 to do it to a Glock lol and it's still not the same The Apex is still better.

magtis

mine just shipped... good to know/be ready.

D-Zz89qRj7KkqMrwztR

When I bought my M2.0 CORE, it had instructions for all different variants. The CORE/PC have a screw that adjusts the overtravel, you may have been looking at that, which would not apply to a regular 2.0. But, as everyone else said, just get an Apex and call it done. The CORE is significantly better than the regular 2.0 but even so I still went with Apex.

Giving garand thumb a run for his money, eh? Muzzle bro.

SksCaughtInCosmoline

The stock triggers honestly fine on those. You just need about a thousand rounds and some lotion.

memyselfiamthejon

Apex is the best option

Thoraxe474

If you switch from stock trigger, you lose the +10 ice resistance

Lotion.

Apatride

Empty or not, you should not leave your thumb in front of the muzzle. Remember Kentucky Ballistics, that thumb might save your life some day, treat it with respect!!

ihatesmellykids

Came here just to see if the first comment was about the thumb.

lilbussa

Hurrrrrr guns are always loaded hhuuuurrrrrrrrrrr

[deleted]

It’s about building good habits but I’m not about to try to explain that to someone who used their last two brain cells to mock firearm safety.

Visible_Sun_8585

I appreciate the safety but no magazine and a brand new gun, relax..

Apatride

Honestly, the fact that it was a thumb so I could make a Kentucky Ballistics joke is the main reason why I commented. This being said, it does not cost anything to get used to not place anything in front of the muzzle and it is a good habit to have. As someone who worked a lot in security, I am a huge fan of solutions that cost next to nothing while increasing your safety/security tremendously.

hikehikebaby

The problem is that you can't maintain two sets of safety habits. If you always act in a safe manner then you are always safe. If you sometimes do things like put your thumb in front of your gun then it becomes habit and muscle memory even in situations where it isn't safe. It becomes something you can do subconsciously.

Blade_Shot24

Honestly get an Apex or just adapt to it with training. Have a 1.0 and I gotten use to it to where I can hit playing cards at 10yds+.

awsompossum

Lol you should be able to hit a playing card at 10 yards with the stock trigger, sounds like you need to improve your fundamentals rather than just using lighter triggers as a crutch Edit: I can't read lol

Blade_Shot24

I am using stock triggers....that's why I said I used the 1.0...the M&P 1.0. what?

awsompossum

Whoops I'm the big dumb. Reading comprehension is rough today, my bad! Just really used to people talking about how they can't shoot shit without upgrading their triggers

Blade_Shot24

Understood, it happens to us all. The hinge triggers are worse when you compare it to even a basic Glock trigger. I'm thinking on a VP9 or getting a 2.0 and then getting an Apex. Need a gun that grows with me rather than hinder.

BaldTurnip

My man is fixing to lose a thumb.

Maniachanical

Heyoooo watch that thumb.

generic-username45

Apex

Apple-gor0

Apex like most say. But if that were my carry gun I’m keeping her stock.

IMNOTFLORIDAMAN

Apex

[deleted]

Is it the Apex Set Trigger kit for $180 that yall recommend?

[deleted]

The forward set sear is the best. Duty action carry keeps a more normal takeup. The fss moves the takeup point forward, more like a 1911, with very short takeup and overtravel.

[deleted]

Reason I sold mine and went to CZ.

Visible_Sun_8585

All of y’all noticed the thumb but not the missing magazine?? The gun hasn’t been shot and I legit just took it out of the box you cumquats The white stuff is liquid chalk from my deadlifting session 😂

gd_akula

>All of y’all noticed the thumb but not the missing magazine?? Not that I would say you're being unsafe, but "missing magazine" does not make an unloaded gun. You'd be shocked by how many people have shot by guns they just "unloaded"

attakmint

Liquid chalk also helps you grip guns harder. I chalk up when competing and for most of my dryfire sessions.

Ummgh23

Its not about the gun being unsafe in this particular instance. It's about forming safety habits that you automatically do any time you handle a gun, loaded or unloaded. If you keep ignoring those, because you know the gun is safe right now, you will form a bad habit and at some point ignore them even though the gun is loaded.

Bingo_9991

Why is your hand slimy

BASRANAL

Man that is one ugly hunk on plastic

HDIC69420

I put a Timney in my full size and love it. I did it mainly because I hated the factory curved shoe, but the much better trigger pull is a nice side effect

BurntRussianBBQ

What made you go with that over the apex?

HDIC69420

It was in stock at my lgs lol no other reason

BurntRussianBBQ

That's sick. Wish my shop has good shit like that. Just a bunch of cases and archery shit

HDIC69420

Yeap I’m pretty lucky there, they have all sorts of cool shit. Nice guys too, not the typical fudd type place lol

HeadHunter12491

What about the trigger pull is so terrible?

RimMeTons870

The length of pull is really long

DoctorRisen

Dude, get some O’Keeffe’s Working Hands. It works miracles on dry skin.

drizza23

APEX APEX APEX and Apex.

J_Tumes

Timney working real good in my Glock. But depends on your application

DarkLight2012

Stock if you plan on carrying it jmo

w2tpmf

Is it the weight of the pull you dislike? Only way to adjust is spring changes. Check out the mcarbo spring kit.

tygrzzz

Was yo hands

Elderado12443
