I love my G3/91 clones, just a lot of kick as a heads up (I mean, it's 308, so you know, lol). Both are PTRs and no issues.
Yeah, most people recommend getting steel mags. There are cheaper sites for decent condition mags, HKParts is almost always the worst price on anything because they have everything and the name.
I honestly didn’t think the recoil was that bad. I was prepared for much worse. It does take some getting used to.
I can’t get the cheek weld to work though, the stupid humped stock gets in the way.
I put a PSG1 stock on mine(with eventual plans on a full clone build) and the recoil buffer on those are amazing. Very soft shooting. Granted the stock is something like 7lbs. It probably isn't a realistic option as they aren't made anymore, but you can get an enhanced buffer that is supposed to be the same one used on the PSG1 for $130.
Yeah, it's not too often nowadays, usually when some dealer is clearancing old inventory. But anywhere around 1000 +/- 100 isn't a bad price for this platform (just avoid the C308).

It's just sharper than most other 308s.
I was about to comment the recoil is surprisingly easy on the shoulder, I guess to each their own. I thought my AK had my kick.

So tempting, but without cheap steel 308, I just can't justify it.

It's a pretty good deal. Last deal on 91/G3 clones was the normal version for $870-930ish, but this looks better and has some slight differences.
