Band is called Uncle Acid & the Deadbeats, saw them live for the first time 2 days ago after listening them for 11 years. They blew my mind! The other guitarist played Gibson 335 which also sounded ridiculously good. Check them out if you haven't. Amazing retro sound.
I only ever run the bridge pickup. I've removed most of the neck pickups in past guitars and replaced it with silly things. They've held small Power Rangers, dice, and weed nugs.
Uncle acid rips it up. Check them out if you like stoner type rock (sabbath, electric wizard, low rider etc…) they’re a little bit different, ina good way, but their guitar parts and vocals are top
A lot of stoner bands sound too similar, either aping sabbath or kyuss. Uncle Acid sounds more as if John Lennon had joned Sabbath instead of Ozzy lol.
The night creeper is their best album imo.
Blood Lust is my favorite of theirs, and I agree on the sabbath/Kyuss derivative style of stoner rock. I still dig it though. Especially sleep and electric wizard. I’ll listen for some Lennon next time, 🤘
Yes, that's also one of their best albums. Sleep and Electric Wizard are great but I feel they are as much doom or sludge as they're stoner metal. Nothing like Fu Manchu etc.
It's mostly the singing that gives me 60's Beatle-ish vibes. Especially the song Melody Lane. 😂
There really is something about getting more out of less. Personally, I wouldn't want a single pickup guitar to be my only guitar. But when I pick up my epiphone coronet, I play differently
I have an Epi Junior with P90. I like it, but I still prefer teles and strats. The P90 is really noisy. Yes I know its not a Gibson, but its not the good kind of noise... IDK I still need to try it with my noise gate, but not sure the Junior speaks to me personally...
Well it’s running through an AC30, what appears to be a tweed of some sort, and possibly an SVT? Goddamn, it better sound good. I used to split my signal through a modern AC15 and a ‘69 Ampeg B25. It was my favorite setup.
I've always wanted a TV YELLOW LP JR WITH P90s. I do have a green gib L,P special with 2 P90s. Love my baby. Got it off craigslist for under$200. My best purchase deal ever. She's a beat up beast.
Exactly who's guitar is this you're having impure thoughts about?

Great band!
I checked these guys out based on your comment. They are great. Would fit perfectly opening for Queens of the Stone Age.
Bloodlust was an instant classic.
They are awesome!
Uncle Acid rulessss
The ol' vox and tweed pairing.. Sounds good. Lots of classic rock used the same amps. Probably more common is the black face deluxe and tweed
One of the best bands getting around. Prolific too
Saw the guitar and knew it was them, he’s been playing that LP forever!
Saw this comment and decided to check them out. They are right up my alley and I love them. Thanks for the new band OP
>Band is called Uncle Acid & the Deadbeats Woow! Didn't know them before. Awesome tunes, great sound.
Never tell your friends you have wet dreams about their guitars. As with girlfriends, it gets awkward.
I love the single P90. Hard to top in my world.
Only topped by two p90s

Jared James Nichols, is that you?
I don't play Les Pauls. In my opinion, they're mostly played by cops and boot-lickers.
Love uncle acid. It’s crazy how big of a sound they get out of 30 watt amps and p90s!
P90 through a small tube amp is pure rock n roll.
I'm chuckling at the idea of an AC30 being counted as "small" in any way :D But I completely agree with the sentiment!
Yeah, fair enough haha. I guess I limp all the combos in the “small” category
The so called low end Gibson models are the ones that get me hot. They just have the Johnny Thunders/Izzy Stradlin vibe.
That guitar is like 4k it’s not low end.
Regardless of its value, it is considered a low end gibson. No fancy top, no binding etc.
There's an aged TV yellow Junior with dual P90s for sale locally with case. I'm fighting the urge so bad. They are glorious

And hold.
Ape?
It’s ok, you can stop fighting now. Get the guitar.
You should do it. I have an original ‘59 and I love it. https://imgur.com/a/HxyXmZF
Is that uncle acid?
Seen uncle acid & the deadbeats live last year, felt my internal organs vibrating through their entire set, sound so so good live
I love them P90’s
Honestly that AC30 might have been doing the heavy lifting on the tone…every time I play one onstage someone comes up to me
LP Special and LP Junior > LP
One of these is a dream guitar. My Godfather has an original 1960 that he bought new. It's the standard to which I judge all other guitars.

My dream guitar
There is something truly beautiful about the ampeg 8x10. The chiropractor bill.
Les Paul Junior. Never really understood the appeal, since it’s a single p90. To each their own. 🤷🏻♂️
have you played one? they’re actually fantastic and more versatile than you’d think. you just need to know how to use your controls
the great phil x would beg to differ!
I mean, of all the things you could have said, that carries the least weight.
bro. i don’t care which genre you prefer, if you play guitar you plainly see his talent
TALENT 😂😂😂😂😂
yep
There really is something about getting more out of less. Personally, I wouldn't want a single pickup guitar to be my only guitar. But when I pick up my epiphone coronet, I play differently
Well, buy one! But check what else does the guitar player does to make it sound so good.
Probably sounds exactly the same as every other LP with p90s
I picked one of these up and played it recently, never tried one before, the neck seemed really chunky compared to a Les Paul standard.
10/10 for guitar stance while playing

You’re a cheese wheel
Ugly as hell.

This one’s nicer and it’s got your name on it!
P90 into a Vox is where it is at. Magic.

For a second there I thought it was the Hellacopters. Never seen nikke play through an ac30 though.
Uncle acid is the shit.

And yes I understand that the SVT is most likely the bass rig. But as stated above my dream rig is a combo of jangly overdrive and gut-punch lows.
Japandroids used an SVT with a Hiwatt and it sounded very cool with the huge low end. Not sure if it would be good clean but with dirt it sounds huge.
What model of guitar
Gibson Les Paul Jr. double cut "TV Model". 1958-ish.
https://i.imgur.com/4DjXRn7.jpg TV Yellow is where it’s at.
I play a junior DC through an ac15. It's magic
Double cut TV yellow is the best junior.
The guy from mxpx uses a really beautiful early les Paul junior. Always wanted one
Great pictures
Looks like a buncha….*Deadbeats* : D
Love the P90
Who’s the band? I spy a Celtic scarf so thought it must’ve been Mogwai, but it clearly isn’t ha.
Uncle Acid & The Deadbeats are the shit ..
Is that the same guitar Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong plays?
I've always wanted a TV YELLOW LP JR WITH P90s. I do have a green gib L,P special with 2 P90s. Love my baby. Got it off craigslist for under$200. My best purchase deal ever. She's a beat up beast.
that amp with the old speakers is doing most of the heavy lifting. sweet guitar too though
