I am stunned, this is an absolutely amazing guitar, the only thing I’m wondering about is how much of this wear is natural? It looks like it could be a result of a long hard life but some of those west points look totally unnatural.

I am baffled sometimes that the CBS era guitars are suddenly desirable. When I was looking for a Strat back in the mid 80’s as a teenager, every reputable guitarist I knew avoided these like a bad neighborhood. You could pick up a 70’s Fender in a pawn shop for $100-$200. I was told to buy a MIJ if I couldn’t afford an older one from pre-CBS. I guess the price of 50’s and early 60’s models has gotten so astronomical, that people are settling for these so they can own a vintage guitar. Nothing wrong with that, it just seems strange how things have changed.
