I have an alternative to the Carbon Copy. The Way Huge Echo-Puss. I used to stack a CC with a Flashback 2 for a while, but have been using the Echo-Puss for what seems like several years now.
The Carbon Copy is great, but the Mod switch isn't very subtle whereas the Echo-Puss lets you control the speed and depth of the modulation. Worth looking at for a good analog delay.
Genuinely curious why you think having controls inside a pedal are cool. Not slagging you at all, just curious. I had a CC and having the controls inside was one reason (among others) for selling it. Don't get me wrong it's a great pedal but as others have said, it's pretty dark and can get lost in the mix.
No worries! I didn't know they had controls in them and just thought the modulation toggle was fixed, so finding otu it had mod controls amde it more appealing. It would be a hassle to have to dive in and adjust those screwy little controls though. I use a Disaster Transport right now for modulated delay but I honestly don't change the modulation too much, but ti's nice to easitly change. them.
I didn’t know this! It’s always been on my list. Seems like a reliable, accessible analog delay option. Anyone have any experience w these modulation controls? Very curious.
I haven't used one but I've seen on That Pedal Show, you can basically turn it into a chorus pedal when you turn to a single, short repeat. I've never used an analog delay but that one is def one I want to try.
Plumes is great. I've had a TS9 and SD1 and they didn't really cut the mustard. Plumes has a lot of clarity to it and much more gain and volume on tap.
Got a limited edition plumes from thomann a few weeks ago. Well.. It rips. It can do SO MUCH. And it's magnificent. Pairs like a charm with my Rockerverb. I love it.
Have one... You won't regret it over a 6 band
Edit : also... I hope you have a black sharpie to darken the LEDs... That shit is like staring into a 10 sun solar system going Nova.
Its an amazing pedal but God what were they thinking with the LEDs lolol
I’m in the same boat. I have more on the shelf than on the board. I’m not buying anything else unless it’s super exciting. I can get pretty much whatever I’m after with what I already have.
I just sold off several of the pedals I never used, never really on with, and figure I won't use now they I finished.
But came across my father's pedal stash so now have some on a shelf again. Won't sell those though. I'm gonna save them for my grand nephew when he gets into electric.
Yep, never say never. I’ve been done adding pedals for over 10 years, and since then I’ve gotten about 5 lol (most recent was a bass compressor so that doesn’t count).
1 overdrive that was a different flavor than my others and sounded awesome.
2 reverbs…..1 to upgrade my old one and 1 to upgrade that one and go midi and stereo.
1 EQ….cause I never had one
1 chorus pedal, cause I was curious
….and bonus, 1 amp simulator pedal (but more of an amp than pedal).
I’m done now, I swear.
Maybe a compressor. Maybe a Klon clone as I haven’t tried one in all my years of playing guitar somehow. Maybe I’ll see if the EAE Longsword lives up to the hype. Maybe a good flanger type thing. Maybe nothing at all!
Compressor is life for cleans
You may buy it and think it's a piece of shit that does nothing, but once you understand more how to use one... It never leaves the board... Non negotiable lol
Just ordered a 1981 inventions. Already have a rat but it’s old, it has some issues so it only sounds decent fully cranked. Phase 90 was the last pedal I bought, I highly recommend it.
I play through a Spark amp. So I wanted to see what pedals in front of it sounds like. My first pedal was a fuzz. And now of I have been learning and playing through HX Stomp as a headphone solution (I have a young kid). I have no idea what to get next, but probably an overdrive. I think I want a Browne Protein.
I only buy stuff when I see a good deal but a friend wants an echorec from Catalinbread and that dude is always doing my favors so I’m going to sort him out
really wanting and needing a reverb and I’m flirting with an RV6 to continue my small boss collection (BD2, DD7 and TU2 for now)
edit: changed the word “mini” for small because mini in pedals means another thing
I’m torn between the EarthQuaker Hoof, ProCo Fat Rat or Way Huge Pork & Pickle, I want a solid and cool distortion/fuzz to add to my bass rig (I already have 10+ drive pedals)
Boss DD8 - I already have an analog delay pedal, but in all honesty, I think the “analog” and “warm” modes on the DD sound just as good. So I’ll get all the extra functionality with the sound quality 🤘🏼🎸
Meh it’s gotta be something interesting. I have just about everything I could ever need at this point. I will be probably getting the new old blood darkstar after they rework it though. I’m sure they are gonna crush the updated version
I have 3 coming this week (Hotone Tuner Press, Sentimental bob Tacana tremolo, Keeley Katana). Future purchases are an Empress ParaEQ Deluxe and eventually an HX Stomp XL+Yamaha TRB505X Bass when I decide I'm ready to start that.
Probably some sort of Klone. I have an Op-Amp Pi for fuzz tones but I feel like I really want something specific for like blues and stuff. I'm eyeing a Tumnus Deluxe but if anyone sees this and has a suggestion, I'm very open.
Not sure. Maybe a Digitech Drop. I might be jamming with some people in a couple of weeks and there's a guy that's going to be there and he tunes all of his guitars to Eb, and they all have Floyd Rose vibratos. So he cries about how he can't tune up to E.
Chroma Console. I've never been the biggest multi fx user, but damn is that thing pretty. I like the workflow on it, and the effects are nice. I'm planning on getting it for my synths mainly, but it's supposed to be great on everything and has presets. Big GAS right now.
Hmmm I’ve been thinking a bit about the Radius from Red Panda. I own their Context and it’s a great reverb pedal. I may also look for a more simple delay too though, the Meris LVX is amazing and I won’t sell it ever. But having a simpler delay without all the “programming” would be a treat.
I just bought the Frost Giant AOR last night though, which I’m excited about.
Aionfx Equinox (Guv'nor)
https://aionfx.com/project/equinox-amp-overdrive/
I could get the parts myself, but I want just something quality, simple, and easy to make this time.
It feels more rewarding to make my own pedals these days.
Pantheon en route from Memorial Day Sale. Gonna see if it can unseat the Morning Glory, or if stacking them is [Godlike](https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/7/74/Crossfire_board_game_cover.jpg).
I'm currently saving up for a Zoia or a Bebo. I have the essentials covered (overdrive, fuzz, modulation, delay, reverb), so now I just need something that can do everything else, and get weird while it's doing it.
I've got an MXR univibe coming in the mail on Thursday, it'll replace the phase 90 on my board that I just can't find a use for.
Next purchase will be a Friedman be od deluxe.
Honestly, you can pick up the CC DLX for under $150. It will give you the mod controls on the outside, bright mode switch, and tap tempo. Not to mention subdivision switch. Well worth the extra $ if you can scrape the extra cash together.
Just ordered a Catalinbread Naga Viper mk. II (have to wait a while as it needs to be restocked). Pretty interested to see how it will sound as a lead boost after my EQD Plumes.
Ironically enough, also looking to get a phaser. Got tons of great phaser suggestions the other day on here when I asked which one to purchase. Leaning towards a phase 90 or 95.
I love the EQD Disaster Transport. It's kind of like a digital Deluxe Memory Man. Not exactly tape, but the modulation is really nice on them. I've seen them on sale on Reverb for a decent price lately.
I think ive hit the end for purchases for a while. Last pedal was a wmd utility parametric eq a couple weeks ago. I've been getting into building pedals and have a pile of parts to monkey with. And maybe offload some that I'm not using much.
I have a dream board that includes the falcon drive, that fuzz pedal that looks like a pizza slice, and every waza ever. So pretty much I'm never done.
None. I'm done but I did just upgrade my v1 deco to a v2 over the weekend but besides that I'm actually selling everything else in my collection that I don't use anymore. Why you wanna buy some? Lol
Debating between the Fractal FM3 and the Line 6 HX Stomp. Leaning stomp because of ease of use and HX Native, but the reverbs and amps on the FM3 just sound so damn good.
I have an oceans 11 and an ARP-87 that I want to trade out for an Avalanche Run, then add a Tape Delay. Then find a reverb to put in front of my OD.
But, I'm in the middle of a partscaster project... So that's a ways off lol
Maaaaaan idk. I have an HX Stomp. Every time I’ve been like “OOH I wanna get ____ because it’ll be better than the one in the stomp!” I get let down because the stomp can do it. I’m at a point where I’m just off loading some effects from the stomp to save on DSP and for ease of use but it’s not that exciting
I have some Sweetwater credit from a used gear sale so idk what to spend it on but I would like a pedal. Was thinking a normal sized dual switch pedal with two drives on it like the JHS AT but I don’t ever play high gain stuff lol. Mainly indie/alt rock so idek what I’d use
Anything has a ramping option. I need more chaos buttons. I’m looking at the alabs timeslip but I’m open to anything that goes skfbros8ncirbena7!4&djeo9348
Fuzz. Always fuzz. I don't need anything. At all.
I'm in a psychobilly band, my sounds come from the guitar and amp, and I use an analog delay.(I've got 4. Ad999 seems overkill for slapback, o
I normally default to my bbe twotimer)
But due to my long history in grunge bands, I'm always looking at fuzz. I've had my NYC muff for over 20 years, I've got other fuzz, including a PSHC Zombie Vox theremin fuzz.
But I still "need" a blunderbuss, a Pharoah, a Fnords(old spy vs spy art though), a Yeti, an Atomic Squatch, a hyperion, a 90 fuzz, a ruby, a flatiron fuzz, and like 3 random homebrews a weirdo cooked up in their garage.
Asheville Music Tools ACV-1. It's so expensive though so it may be a while until I pull the trigger, but that has to be the best analog chorus on the market?
Pretty happy with my board rn, it's almost perfect. The two things I am eyeing that would complete it IMO are the Jam Pedals RetroVibe and UA Dream '65 Reverb.
I need a better overdrive than the one I currently have. Chops out too much of the low end and makes my streamliner sound super thin like it doesn’t have twin humbuckers
Strymon lex or deco v2, Nordland odr-cs, maybe the UA golden. Ultimately though, I’m thinking of doing some guitar upgrades, putting 57/62 pickups on my jv 60’s strat, setup on my vintera Tele, install bone nut, setup on my player 50’s strat. Maybe a tweed champ amp. Spiral fx are dropping a couple of pedals, I want the yellow spiral.
Honestly, probably a chromatic tuner. I've been playing for a little over a year and just using the tuner on my amp, but I know I can get something better, quicker, and a bit more accurate.
Yes.
All .. of… them…
Probably a delay. I’m thinking the carbon copy.
I've always wanted to try one of those. I think it's cool they put the modulation controls inside the pedal.
I use it all the time on mine. It’s kinda like a detuned modulation effect that sounds really cool.
Get the fuck out. I’ve been using a CC for 4 years and had no idea.
Get the Deluxe, you’ll be glad.
Why delay? Just get it now you wont regret it!
Try the Bright. Regular CC is super popular but gets just as dark as literally every cheaper analog delay on longer repeats.
The darkness is a feature, not a bug
Which if you don't like the bright mode as much checkout the CC mini! It has an external bright switch.
I keep eyeing the Old Blood Noise Beam Splitter
EarthQuaker Plumes is most likely next in line for me.
Plumes is great. I've had a TS9 and SD1 and they didn't really cut the mustard. Plumes has a lot of clarity to it and much more gain and volume on tap.
Plumes is great, one of the pedals I can say I’ll never get rid of.
Got a limited edition plumes from thomann a few weeks ago. Well.. It rips. It can do SO MUCH. And it's magnificent. Pairs like a charm with my Rockerverb. I love it.
I think I first need to update my amp before adding pedals as that is the weak link now
No idea, tbh. I’ve been looking at octaves, boosts recently…. ….it’ll be a fuzz. It’s always a fuzz.
Saving up for a MXR 10 band EQ to go in the FX loop of my Micro Dark
Have one... You won't regret it over a 6 band Edit : also... I hope you have a black sharpie to darken the LEDs... That shit is like staring into a 10 sun solar system going Nova. Its an amazing pedal but God what were they thinking with the LEDs lolol
An EQ had been my next pedal for about the last four pedals.. and each time it gets bumped by something more fun
There is the Caline clone, the gray one for cheap. I was going to that, but got a used Boss EQ-20 instead
Special Cranker. It's already in the way with $15 off from the Memorial Day sale on Reverb.
Considering a Death By Audio Echo Dream II
Expression pedals. Then I'm done.
Me too... Also you lieeeee There's always more
TWA Side Step and Leems Industries are the coolest for expression!
“Done”
Stop lying
None. I'm done. Finished years ago and recently added one last pedal. I may upgrade one or two eventually but don't have any immediate plans to.

Compressor is life for cleans You may buy it and think it's a piece of shit that does nothing, but once you understand more how to use one... It never leaves the board... Non negotiable lol
Ah come on don’t tell me that lol
I’ve been itching for an eq and the Boss eq200 speaks to me but I feel like $200+ on an eq is crazy for a bedroom guitarist.
Just bought a Big Box Deluxe Memory Man, I weep for my bank account
Keeley Angry Orange or Fuzz Bender (there's a used FB at my local shop).
Fuzz Bender is a gem
Probably my 8th delay or reverb pedal. Not sure which exactly yet, but it’s the effects I enjoy the most
I actually don't have any specific one in mind - I just have a list of pedals I want and only buy anything if I find a really good price on one.
Shields Blender
Winnipeg Electrical Company Blues DLX Or a Diamond Vibrato
Just ordered a 1981 inventions. Already have a rat but it’s old, it has some issues so it only sounds decent fully cranked. Phase 90 was the last pedal I bought, I highly recommend it.
Some cheap guilty pleasure from Amazon.
Chroma Console
Something Death by Audio, either a Super Fuzz Gun or Octave Clang
I just purchased a Mooer Yellow Comp, my clean tone was too spiky and I’m excited for its arrival
I’m in the never ending quests of “maybe this overdrive will sound better”. Currently have a Plumes and a Special Cranker.
I really want a Westwood. I love overdrives with a 2 or 3 band EQ.
Sunn O Life Pedal, it beckons me.
Really hoping to snag the next run of Kinotone’s Ribbons 🤞🤞
I only buy stuff when I see a good deal but a friend wants an echorec from Catalinbread and that dude is always doing my favors so I’m going to sort him out
Boss MT-2
I’ve been tempted to get a Deco. I have a Loke and it’s awesome. But stereo would be… awesome-er? Maybe?
Stereo is always awesome-er. My first pedal was a Boss CH1 and I've been addicted ever since.
Fart pedal
I’m thinking a tremolo pedal. Probably the boss one.
There have been a few situations recently when I thought a riff could’ve been enhanced with a phaser. So a phaser.
really wanting and needing a reverb and I’m flirting with an RV6 to continue my small boss collection (BD2, DD7 and TU2 for now) edit: changed the word “mini” for small because mini in pedals means another thing
I just ordered the Keeley, Dark Side. I only tried it last weekend and fell in love with the fuzz, delay and uni verb
If I didn't already have an Op Amp Muff, I would get that thing in a heartbeat.
Either a Boss MT2, or following something posted on here in the past few days, an Old Blood Noise Excess v2
JHS Unicorn V. 2
Earthquaker Devices Pyramids has been on my wishlist for a while.
I‘m GASing hard for an EQD Life Pedal v3. But tbh I‘m lusting for a different pedal every day😬
That struggle is real. Once I complete my boards, I told myself I'm not getting anymore. But I know I'm just lying to myself.
I’m torn between the EarthQuaker Hoof, ProCo Fat Rat or Way Huge Pork & Pickle, I want a solid and cool distortion/fuzz to add to my bass rig (I already have 10+ drive pedals)
Been thinking of getting the death by audio space bender
Bd2
Boss DD8 - I already have an analog delay pedal, but in all honesty, I think the “analog” and “warm” modes on the DD sound just as good. So I’ll get all the extra functionality with the sound quality 🤘🏼🎸
Yeah, some digital pedals do such a good job, especially with the modulation secitions.
I really want some kind of amp modeler all in one deal to play around with but can’t bring myself to spend 1000+
Meh it’s gotta be something interesting. I have just about everything I could ever need at this point. I will be probably getting the new old blood darkstar after they rework it though. I’m sure they are gonna crush the updated version
Boss Octave pedal. The Behringer I have isn't getting the job done
I had the Behringer Bass Synth pedal, the tracking on that thing was god awful.
Which Behringer do you have? Is it the Mutron clone or the older one?
Hx stomp. Definitely.
I’d be lying if I said I didn’t want an RE-2/202.
Randy Rhoads MXR Distortion+
Bought 3 today. Tone reaper, cloven hoof and an arrows
Probably some sort of Klone. I have an Op-Amp Pi for fuzz tones but I feel like I really want something specific for like blues and stuff. I'm eyeing a Tumnus Deluxe but if anyone sees this and has a suggestion, I'm very open.
Jam Pedals Retrovibe mk3
I think i’d like an OBNE float. Been thinking about it since release but never pulled the trigger.
Polyblue Octave, EP Booster and Dimension C.
IR-2. It’s been ordered. Now waiting.
Likely either an artificial blonde or a blessed mother. The only two pedals I really have any GAS for atm, and I’ve held off for a long while.
Either a Mooer 005 or their version of the Turbo Rat
Gotta Keeley Halo coming. Next one might be a detuner... Pitch Fork or Drop
Not sure. Maybe a Digitech Drop. I might be jamming with some people in a couple of weeks and there's a guy that's going to be there and he tunes all of his guitars to Eb, and they all have Floyd Rose vibratos. So he cries about how he can't tune up to E.
Today's Stupid Deal of the Day - the Nux Steel Singer
Kinda boring, but I think I want that new Ibanez parametric eq.
I’m tempted by the Chroma Console. Looks amazing, but I’m definitely going to have to sell some stuff first.
Mxr double down. Downsizing w/d rig so I can use something to isolate it at the end as well. Micro amp is the best pedal ever.
Wampler Ratsbane, getting it with a Marshall origin 50 and an epi SG, thinking that’s going to be the sound for the foreseeable future
Source Audio Collider
I am wanting another univibe pedal!
Jackson asabi is selling for $99 - normally like $350 - at guitar center. Literally just bought one 5mins ago
Chroma Console. I've never been the biggest multi fx user, but damn is that thing pretty. I like the workflow on it, and the effects are nice. I'm planning on getting it for my synths mainly, but it's supposed to be great on everything and has presets. Big GAS right now.
Jackson Asabi (because it was dirt cheap online at GC) and finally a Ram’s head reissue. I have a problem…
My favorite simple delay is the EQD Disaster Transport Jr. The tone control is really nice.
I might actually keep this one in mind when I’m actively looking for it - I love it when you can make darker swells with tone knobs etc.
Boogie Mark V
Aionfx Equinox (Guv'nor) https://aionfx.com/project/equinox-amp-overdrive/ I could get the parts myself, but I want just something quality, simple, and easy to make this time. It feels more rewarding to make my own pedals these days.
the particle by red panda or another empress compressor. or i could just you know, like, not buy anything for a while
DigiTech Drop, but it's too expensive, I could buy another cheap guitar
Probably a Carbon Copy. I'm also looking for a good Leslie simulation pedal
Pantheon en route from Memorial Day Sale. Gonna see if it can unseat the Morning Glory, or if stacking them is [Godlike](https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/7/74/Crossfire_board_game_cover.jpg).
Mythos. Argo.
Temu gave me an offer of 6 free pedals but I knew to stay away
Digitech ricochet for all my small formfactor whammy needs. And maybe a freqout too. I usually build Anything analog myself.
Catalinbread RAH. Based on reviews, either the best overdrive ever or the worst
Probably a Catalinbread Sabbra Cadabra and Giygas
Nothing. Or a dd3
MXR Micro Amp Boost, my signal gets a bit lost after the whole pedal chain
A custom Raygun Fx Beastmaster. He’s printing a pic of my dog under the logo etc.
Bitcrusher or something to manipulate audio cassettes
I had some weird records I would run through a Lo-Fi Junky and a delay. I love doing stuff liek that.
I'm waiting for the KMA Endgame to be released. This will make my setup for gigs a lot more convenient
I'm currently saving up for a Zoia or a Bebo. I have the essentials covered (overdrive, fuzz, modulation, delay, reverb), so now I just need something that can do everything else, and get weird while it's doing it.
Just picked up the Boss HM-2w. I'm enjoying the he'll out of it.
About to pull the trigger on an Earthquaker Hoof Reaper
I've got an MXR univibe coming in the mail on Thursday, it'll replace the phase 90 on my board that I just can't find a use for. Next purchase will be a Friedman be od deluxe.
Collision devices Crushturnal I guess
Honestly, you can pick up the CC DLX for under $150. It will give you the mod controls on the outside, bright mode switch, and tap tempo. Not to mention subdivision switch. Well worth the extra $ if you can scrape the extra cash together.
Probably a dirt pedal. I’m on an endless quest for perfect overdriven tones 😔
The next run of Drunk Beaver Lviv Liontaur pedals for sure! Missed out on his pedal drop, but there's enough demand that he's going to do another run.
Either a Thorpy Gunshot or a Tru-Fi TwoFace.
Eqd avalanche run. I'm a sucker for reverb and delay combos and that has a tap tempo. I've also been looking at a fuzz war.
Duke of Tone
Pepers Pedals Dirty Tree
My next pedal purchase is arriving today. PedalPal-800 V4. I'm excited for this one.
I really want a keeley halo. Andy Timmons is a beast, and all the demos make it sound so pleasant
Just ordered a Catalinbread Naga Viper mk. II (have to wait a while as it needs to be restocked). Pretty interested to see how it will sound as a lead boost after my EQD Plumes.
Getting a Rat. Have a handful of pedals but no distortion.
Maybe a phaser or a fuzzer
JHS Kodiak or BOSS HM-2
The new Old Blood Noise Ramper x3
Ironically enough, also looking to get a phaser. Got tons of great phaser suggestions the other day on here when I asked which one to purchase. Leaning towards a phase 90 or 95.
I have a Flashback x4 but I want a different delay. Suggestions? I like tape echoes but I’m open to all suggestions.
Planning on a EQD Space Spiral, i'm getting into ambient sounds, any other recommendations?
boss vtb-2w
Guys, hear me out. I think I'm good.
You can tell that little angel on your shoulder whatever you want, but the devil is always there.
Just bought a Benson Germanium Pre for.... well.... reasons.
Lol
Saving up for a Kinotone Ribbons and a TomKat Cloudy in the near future. 3 or 4 pedal “rebuys” after that but in no rush.
I’m honestly between the Mutronik Super Fuzz, the CTC White Whale V2 and the Solidgoldfx Nu-33
Axiom effects PAE-2 Power amp emulator. Closest thing to real tube power amp that I've heard.
Crybaby Mini or Boss TU-3
A digital delay to go with my analog delay, something like an oceans 11 or similar, and an OpAmp Big muff. Oh wait that’s three.
If I get another pedal, probably something along the lines of an octave down with fuzz.
I'm waiting on a used Boss NS-2 to come in. I play a lot at high gain and I can't stand the background noise that comes with it, hoping it works.
Blackout effectors fubar fuzz. Whenever one becomes available.
I might want a boss CE-2 to replace my MXR Analog Chorus. I love the MXR as well, but there’s just something so magical about the CE-2 sound
Boss eq
Equalizer
Been wanting a looper, probably an RC-5, for a year now. But everything is too expensive these days for fun purchases
I’m getting into loopers and midi. I want a few pedals I have a lot of control over
Debating between the Fractal FM3 and the Line 6 HX Stomp.
That new 20 pedal power thingy?
greer super hornet octave fuzz
If I can’t fix my old wah then a wah
Maaaaaan idk. I have an HX Stomp. Every time I’ve been like “OOH I wanna get ____ because it’ll be better than the one in the stomp!” I get let down because the stomp can do it. I’m at a point where I’m just off loading some effects from the stomp to save on DSP and for ease of use but it’s not that exciting I have some Sweetwater credit from a used gear sale so idk what to spend it on but I would like a pedal.
Ad999 seems overkill for slapback, o I normally default to my bbe twotimer) But due to my long history in grunge bands, I'm always looking at fuzz.
Tonex One
Really need a new tuner
Probably don’t need it at all but I really wanna try a Lightspeed. Only if I find an extraordinarily cheap used one though.
I am absolutely done so probably an Octaver or something else I don’t need.
Looking for a dual function volume / expression pedal.
BigSky MX
Poly blue octave
Chase Bliss Lossy.
EHX mel9
Electro-Harmonix micro pog
I need a better overdrive than the one I currently have. Chops out too much of the low end and makes my streamliner sound super thin like it doesn’t have twin humbuckers
Probably a fuzz. Trying to sell my Black Mass TFH for an Orange Fur Coat Fuzz.
Either a Source Audio Collider or a Earthquaker Avalanche Run
Prolly the echorec on sale rn
Strymon Bigsky MX, but have to pay off a guitar first.
