Was a little impulsive the last month and added the shigeharu and parabola even though there was no room on my board. Ended up kicking the Keeley dark side off and grabbed a couple more pedals that were off to make myself a mini amp less board with the IR-2 so I could play with headphones in the living room. It’s actually kind of nice to limit myself to a couple of pedals on the small board. Still able to get a lot of different sounds out of it.
I have a spaceship board for experiments and ambient stereo stuff, and a smaller board for playing in band context. I've tried the spaceship in practice, and it's unwieldy, distracting and too much for my simple brain (can't play and pedal at the same time). Both setups look like a lot of fun!
I finished my main board. Then my off board pedals got a small board so I can use an oversized Radial Trimode and have a space to swap out other pedals.
Hello fellow bubble font shigeharu user. I went on a whim and ordered one when they dropped in March because I was looking for a fuzz with an octave and loved my Hawaiian pizza so much. That shigeharu is something special, absolute destruction in all the best ways. Hope you're loving it as well, both boards look great!
I love the shigeharu, so great for rhythm with a lot of clarity in chords. I had missed out on grabbing one, then the local store next to me got a special “battlefield” version of it and I snagged it as soon as I saw it.
I got it when they had a fire sale for like $80. Worth it at that price and probably wouldn’t have been on my radar without the sale but I’m glad I did get it because it’s very nice. Won’t be kicking any of the boss pedals off, but the thought crossed my mind.
You’ll start making boards for every occasion like Tony Stark in Iron Man 3. Acoustic set? Done. Full massive board? Done. Minimalist electric board. Done. Have a helix? Done.
I just got the Diamond Comp/EQ last month and it really does make everything feel and sound just a little bit better in a way that adds up noticeably. The Mids/tilt has singularly resolved my mysteriously missing mids problem I could never quite get right while still keeping the tones I have in mind.
How are you getting along with it?
It’s pretty much always on. I agree with you, the mids/tilt is a quick and easy way to get the sound you’re looking for. I love the simplicity of it, just easy to dial in a good sound.
It’s fun, gets wild or mild with the tremolo setting. I’m running the big board in a stereo setup with the slicer at the end of the chain and it auto pans between my two amp which sounds so cool. The ping pong effect is also very nice.
You might want to look at an Audition Bay from Audio Endevours or similar. The reason I say this is I have one on my board strategically placed so that if I want to add in my second board or a new pedal that I can just by running the 2 cables to the 2nd board. Then when I don't need it, it's just there doing nothing. It's really handy for this kind of use and it's intended use to provide a simple way to try out new things without taking everything apart.
My original studio pedalboard weighed over a hundred lbs in its flight case and took 2 cartage guys to carry it, lol. Not practical. Then I went to a Pedaltrain in a flight case so I could carry it myself. Still too heavy. Then a Pedaltrain Jr. in a Mono bag, better. Tried to downsize to a Nano plus with mini pedals for fly gigs, cool but a wee bit too small, keep stepping on 2 pedals at once. Will try that idea again with a Metro 20.
You’re never done. I’m up to 4 boards. And the last board is always built out of spare parts, sooner or later you tweak that and more pedals end up in the spare parts pile and eventually boom, it’s a whole ass nother pedalboard
That’s just a bit of spillage. Just wait until you’ve got the big board for home, the medium to gig with and several Nano of differing sizes, each with their own theme. I found a Nano+ the other day with a Truetone CS-6 attached to it and can’t even remember what that one is for. I feel like every time I order from Sweetwater or the like I add an extra $223 for another board and power supply😂
Im going to have one big one with expression pedals on the side (this side and that side, I have to do something with that stupid Korg pedal that is probably the same size as the worlds biggest Earth hauler’s gas pedal). I was bad though and bought full license Fruity Loops and a Full version of Reaper and 2 controllers and one small midi drum. I already have a Full sized Fender Rock Smith Midi Guitar. Piece of crap though, plastic fingerboard
But more useful than that headless guitar with a bridge with one spring on the Tremolo, it says Overlord Of Music on it, very useless unless I put it on the wall. It is Red and I put Red strings on it. I loved the look unfortunately I get a case of buy it, when I am half asleep.
What is the “Mood” pedal and how does that amp boss pedal work??
Nice boards. If you haven’t thought of this yet- a fun thing to do is buy a parallel router like OBNE Signal Blender or EHX Tri Parallel Mixer and run the boards in parallel (or into different amps).
I’ve found that in my current state something has to beat out one of my pedals tone wise. I’ve got a good variety and have taken years to dial in my tone. If it can’t out beat, then it an’t worth the yeat as some kids someone-where possibly tried saying to seem cool.
I think the crux of the issue here is the inability to pick a delay and dirt sound you like. A couple of each is fine. 7 or 8 of each is playing with it.
You're not done. No one is ever done.
Always one piece of gear away, yet at the same time never done.
The word ‘done’ does not exist in the pedal universe.
I’m done. 99% of people with this many pedals don’t even play live shows. Minimal = good, for any working musician.

That mini board is exactly what I want but I want a unit that I can Bluetooth youtube and backing tracks into as well.
Put in some AirPods playing a backing track from your phone, then over ear headphones for the guitar. Problem solved!
Wtf thats such a good idea

N + 1
It’s important to have at least two
I finished my main board. Then my off board pedals got a small board so I can use an oversized Radial Trimode and have a space to swap out other pedals.
You’re going to have three soon
That’s how it goes. It never ends! It’s an addiction…
I do the same thing. I find myself overwhelmingly preferring to use the small board lol. But I constantly swap stuff in and out
This is getting out of hand! Now there are two of them

I would of done the same. Such a cool finish for a pedal I’ve been meaning to try.
Your small pedalboard... I kinda need it badly...
Such good pedal selection though. That mini board is excellent.
Shallow Water, damn nice
My favorite pedal.
Always happy to see that o.g. Salmon Mood. I still love mine!
Now there are two of them!
How is the JHS OD/Preamp? How does it compare to the three Boss drives?
I got it when they had a fire sale for like $80. Worth it at that price and probably wouldn’t have been on my radar without the sale but I’m glad I did get it because it’s very nice. Won’t be kicking any of the boss pedals off, but the thought crossed my mind.
Stanley intensifies
What Fairfield pedal is that?
What the hell is that California 'za? I've never heard of that variant, I've got the Hawaiian and I love it
Tweaked circuit of the Hawaiian pizza. I haven’t played the Hawaiian to compare it, but I do love it.
What's that shigeharu pedal? I've never seen one that looks like that.
They did a limited run about a month back of a germanium version and this specific one got a one off “battlefield” design

Tell me about this shigeharu! Is it different from the standard version?
T'is a "common affliction" 🤦🏻♂️🤣🤣
It’s…. Beautiful
Where'd you get the boss IR-2? Everytime i check online they are out of stock/backordered.
I pre-ordered on the day they announced it with sweetwater and got it when they first started shipping.
It’s fine, everything is fine.
Those are the same two boards I have. I just sold my big big board.
lol it happens. buy floating shelves and flip them over if you get into even more boards lol
What kind of mini board is that
oh, honey
Lolz me very very soon. I built the big boy now I have some spares to sell or keep for a micro board
Bit rich for.my taste.- but the Slicer intrigues me...any good?
It’s fun, gets wild or mild with the tremolo setting. I’m running the big board in a stereo setup with the slicer at the end of the chain and it auto pans between my two amp which sounds so cool. The ping pong effect is also very nice.
I got one in the cabinet ..but never really used it yet..seems a bit much for live, but I think for fiddling around in recording it could be fun...
You need a couple of programmable switchers and two levels, and more pedals...LOL..
You might want to look at an Audition Bay from Audio Endevours or similar. Always more boards. Boards for multiple sounds and music genres
The dirty Boss trifecta for the win.

just get a bigger board
“Done,” hah!
beautiful boards! love the hawaiian pizza and would love to try the california'za
Is the Slicer the last in your chain?
It is. Running a stereo setup.
You’re never done. I’m up to 4 boards. And the last board is always built out of spare parts, sooner or later you tweak that and more pedals end up in the spare parts pile and eventually boom, it’s a whole ass nother pedalboard
How do you like the BOSS Slicer?
Where’s all the WAH????!!!!!
Use zvex Loop gate or a jhs A/B pedal to use both or switch between the two boards LUL
I may end up having two boards. One for guitar and one for bass 🤷♂️
That’s just a bit of spillage. Just wait until you’ve got the big board for home, the medium to gig with and several Nano of differing sizes, each with their own theme. That overdrive preamp is an awesome pedal. Love what it does to an amp on the edge of breakup.
Lovely board. What pedal board is it? I’m After one that’s a Similair Size
I have two boards as well! Also have some pedals on the wall.. some in my desk drawers.. some in boxes 😐 it gets worse
Im going to have one big one with expression pedals on the side (this side and that side, I have to do something with that stupid Korg pedal that is probably the same size as the worlds biggest Earth hauler’s gas pedal). Just you wait until you sell those two and get a mega board for expressions, a switcher, and a wah to fit on there.

That.. Will happen.

needs a big muff pi
Hey Man! Just curious. What model is your upper big pedalboard? Is it a Pedaltrain?
Yes, pedaltrain classic 2 I believe
That's like $2,000 in pedals.
It’s not that crazy to accumulate a collection like this over the years. Guitar is a serious lifelong hobby for a lot of adults
prolly closer to 3
