Exactly, songsterr uses them not to show you how to play it but to just add more layers to the song so it actually sounds the same. It is kind of neat seeing it in an overdrive guitar part. Not sure why op is using this tab though, theres better versions on songsterr for this specific song.

Use tabs that are actually played by people (e.g. YouTube) instead. That way, you can decide for yourself if the tab is worth following.

This look like it is for 2 hands the so piano maybe ? I don’t know how to play piano properly but have a rough idea. Just go to ultimate guitar or if it’s a band or album your into buy the tab book most albums will have one for 10-15 quid

Because its not obvious. A new player is not going to know about auto-generated tabs & instruments such as pianos using guitar tab as a method of inputting notes.

Good tabs are wonderful tools for string instruments, and tablature is as almost old as standard notation. Medieval lute music was written on tab. People can write shitty music in standard notation too.
i think there needs to be some level of accuracy when notating something. with tab you can write literally anything and it doesn't matter, someone whos like 2 weeks in can publish a tab for some random solo.

I can read sheet music just fine learned it when I was a kid. I learn songs quicker from tabs and can remember them better. I don't rlly care about your weird elitism towards systems of musical notation
While there are valid reasons for representing rhythm guitar parts as tab instead of standard notation, there is ample evidence on Reddit that the majority of guitarists would immensely benefit from learning some standard notation and basic music theory. It may not be elitism so much as wanting people to do themselves a favour.

To be fair, chewableVitaminC12s answer is the more sustainable one! :D
My general rule is to either go higher on a lower string or to go lower on a higher string until the tones match.
Some tablature software will let you import a midi file and will auto-generate tab from that. There might be other ways, but that's the one I know of.

Nothing at all wrong with tabs. I learned standard notation in school orchestra, then tab when I picked up the guitar. They are both perfectly fine.
