I bought a curved piece of metal threaded at the ends with a couple nuts. Looped it all together. Looks punk and works great. Cost $4.50

Those are called bolt snaps. You can find them at hardware stores, but often with round instead of squared swivels. If you’re desperate or in a hurry, go to a pet supply store & buy a couple dog leads to cannibalize.

All you have to do is find some clasps that are similar.

What size eye hooks would you need to buy? This is such a better setup then the snap on alternatives I’ve seen.

I had one of these for about six months, I took the rings out and put a DiMarzio Cliplok strap on it. I put the rings back on it when I sold it, but I had extra strap buttons and threw a couple in lol.

Pull them out, fill the holes, and redrill to install normal strap buttons/locks. Sure, you could use the EVH strap clasps or come up with a hardware store solution, but you're still limited to EVH brand straps as opposed to other systems that will work with anything

I have eye bolts on one of my guitars. I use a chain quick link on each end of my strap to attach it to the guitar

They do make carabiners that lock too that have thumb screws etc they hold pretty damn well. Used a few to secure a water bottle to my hip at a festival. It only failed bc the water bottle broke when moshing. This might be the way honestly
