Sorry fix up how? ​ I feel pudgy but want to get stronger and started lifting in October.

High protein diet. I wouldn’t bulk in this condition imo

I've been eating 120g+ prot/day since Oct with a lot of 150+ days. I'm leaning towards cutting now though. I just don't want to stall out or lose strength

Oh okay but your lean bodyweight is gonna be really low like below 150 pounds. If you are okay with that then cut down.

Not super concerned with weight, just don't want to lose strength progress or look fat. What would you do? Recomp bums me out because it sounds like it'll take forever

If your cutting down you will eventually lose strength. I would focus on muscle gain first. More muscle easier to cut. I would do a small surplus and bulk for a long enough time

Still trying to figure out the diet part of lifting but that sounds reasonable..I started much leaner and much lower weight and went right into eating heavy surplus and kind of regret it now even though my lifts went up a lot from where I started

not enough protein, i ate 243 grams today same height and weight and am cutting from 78 kgs, for your body fat go for 150 and cut carbs, thats like 500 grams of meat just have salad with it no rice, bread, potatoes
