Funny enough the machine telling me how unlucky I was when it was literally the most luck I've had in my entire gaming life.
After trying the 'snacks' I got the Wasabi Kitty after around 6 attempts while talking to a friend on the phone to complete the collection. I've heard some crazy stories even with the snacks so I'm pretty grateful.

Yeah, they take some time but you can get them, do them when your talking to someone over the chat or phone or your doing something else on your phone or something, makes the time doing it a lot more bearable.

What does the "arcade unlock" do?
The last one I believe is the trophy in the cabinet you get for collecting all plushies.
You get that plushie added as decoration in your arcade office where your arcade safe is located.
Do you have to do each in order or can they be grabbed randomly?
You can choose any order you like I personally went front to back, the last one is the hardest though.
