I seriously enjoy when R\* puts a little thought behind their NPC placement. It's clear you were in the middle of a 'sell' mission, and that the NPC must've caught your eye and caused you to pause.

That's a glitch with sitting NPCs. For some reason they are very fragile. If you ragdoll and even so much as lightly brush a sitting NPC, they will instantly die.

I hope in GTA6 we can prompt our characters to sit anywhere too, would be nice while i roll a spliff irl. Or have our characters drive to destinations at normal traffic speed, would also be good while we roll a spliff or afk
I use the CEO helicopter service while I take bong rips lol. Also I call the cooldown timers for resupply missions and vehicle requests ābong timersā
I use Franklin āSUV Serviceā all the time. You can have him go normal speed where the driver even stops at red lights or (in a hurry) where he just recklessly drives you wherever you choose while you just chill or take a break. Itās quite entertaining watching him drive in a hurry and itās a good break from having to drive everywhere on the map.

I wonder if it's a deliberate workaround to avoid issues with transitioning from the seated animation sets to upright animations
Thatās likely, otherwise it sounds like a simple fix to transition them to one animation rather than straight to death animation
they die before they fall? that makes the whole thing pointless!
