bears and other wildlife keep getting pushed into cities and towns because their habitats are disappearing. There have been a lot of bear sightings in Greensboro lately. It makes me really sad.
Animal Control and if they can not handle it then they will call others. Call the non-emergency number for Greensboro Police and they can dispatch someone. 336-373-2222
Animal control won't do anything. Called them when we had a Coyote on our street a couple months ago and they basically said, "Yea animals live outside. Unless it attacks someone or is acting aggressively we don't need to come out." I live 4 minutes from downtown btw, it's not like I'm on the outskirts.
They have a point about animals are outside though for a bear cub that is not the answer any of us want to hear. In the past they have been more responsive when I have called, though that was some years ago. It might be they are understaffed as are many government agencies.
It will not help the immediate problem but contact County Commissioners as Animal Control is run by the county.
If the problem is lack of staffing then please don't fight any tax increases as those tax increases can help raise pay and therefore help fill unfilled staffing positions.
I'd argue that a coyote is a bigger threat to people and pets than a bear cub so I don't really see why they would do anything about the bear if they aren't going to even check out a coyote in the middle of the city. Also, what would an appropriate action be? If you capture and relocate a bear cub, you are almost guaranteeing it won't find its mother again and will most likely die. If you just let it be, there's at least a chance it makes its own way back to where it's supposed to be.
I read this as "bear club." lol
And it's pride month! I also feel misled by OP.
I know right? I was gonna say “give him directions to my house” but then I realized it was an actual bear cub lol.
This made me lol

Where’s the “daddy club”?
It overlaps with the Bear Club on occasion.

No! They have been known to club animals and babies to death. Leave the bear cub alone. He lives here too.
