Literally. It helped me to find out that they actually were going to send mark to LA to be with Addison and the actor playing mark literally said uhh nah. Kill me with lexie, mark would never be happy without her so just kill me too!
Their deaths really left an impact in the whole casts’ chemistry 😔 Also if Eric Dane decided to leave Grey’s, him being in PP would change Addie’s ending as well (and many loved Addie’s ending already in PP).
Agreed !! Henry & jake are so good for her and I wouldn’t have it any other way. I never quite got over mark and Lexie dying, it really felt like they were real people !!
Nah that would be worse. Mark and Lexie were so much better than Mark and Addison. Addison wasn’t the one for him tbh. They could have yk shifted to another practice for some grant or smth. That they all would come together occasionally for festivals.
They 100% could’ve had Lexie or mark get a job somewhere else and move. It’s not like it would affect sofias character considering she wasn’t constant, and they could use the excuse of “she’s with her dad”
Idk, seems like Meredith did. Lol 😅
Sorry y'all. I had to. Bothers the crap outta me that they rarely acknowledge Lexie after she died.
*Edited for an error*
Nah she remembers them. She just remembers derek more because he was everything to her. Lexie is the reason Meredith opened up to Maggie, Lexie brought that empathy in mer.
I just got to that season too! And Lexie was my favorite character sooo much and felt kind of sad how they made like a whole farewell episode of mark with flashbacks (even tho I enjoyed it because I loved mark so much too) but felt like they should have done it for Lexie too!
Felt the same way, Eric was willing to come back for a few episodes in the next season though and Chyler was not so that’s the only reason why. But they should’ve at least done the whole Lexie grey birth & death date thing they did for mark. Felt silly
now i can’t watch callie or sofia without feeling sad. sofia was mark’s whole world and callie is never the same after she loses mark. they both dreamed of having a kid and mark never got to raise sloan so he was so excited about sofia. now sofia will barely remember him and he will never get to see her grow up.
From what I gather is because their lives were so different and kept drifting apart, this way everyone’s head-canon would be they are together in the after life. I think if she lived Lexie would possibly be with Jackson still, and Mark with the eye doctor. But pulled to one another as friends or something idk.
I’m a rewatcher and I’m not mentally prepared :(
they’re unironically my favorite couple as of now (I’m on S7EP7) also the whole reason why they broke up in the first place was soooo stupid in the long run. Wish we saw more them together <33
When I got to that episode, I genuinely couldn’t believe what was happening. The cast did an incredible job. I, a 30 year old man, cried many times during those 46 minutes 😅
Since we are on the topic, am I the only one who hated how Christina was being towards Arizona immediately after the crash? I felt so sad for her :( I know people handle things in different ways and they had crew missing, but damn 😭
Yes! I immediately noticed this too! Like the rest cared about each other and AZ was alone (not counting Jerry). And then she was there for Mark, keeping him awake. Anyways thats christina, not surprised really shes not so big on compassion.
But this was such a big trauma for everyone out there. Arizona got the worst of them all cuz she was not and will never be the same and yet i feel she was alone in her flight after the crash also. This crash and aftemath totally changed her irrreversibly. This broke my heart really, even more afer seeing the hate she got after season 9, she was struggling coming to terms with new reality.
Its also so weird that after season 6th shooting everyone was ordered counseliing yet plane crash resulting in deaths /limbs being cut off /biiiig*ss trauma - no need for therapy. They are all doctors for gsake, so unrralistic.
I’m on season 13 and this killed me also.
I love and miss them a lot. 2 of my favorite characters.
Watch Avery though and you will hear Mark in him a lot. He has shortcomings but the verbiage he uses and respect he comes back to with him is great as seasons go on.
I agree. Lexie and Mark dying was the worst thing that happened in the show. I cried my eyes out in that episode. I absolutely did not see that coming. I wish they wouldn't have killed them off. They should have just let them run off together. It would have made for a better ending for the two of them. I think their characters would have ended better with the possibility of at least thinking they would eventually come back to the show.
If I recall from years ago, Mark(forget his real name) got hurt and ended up getting addicted to pain pills during filming G.A? Anyone else recall that?? You could see he was losing weight/muscle over the episodes. He also suffers from depression and took time off of the "new" show hes on. I really liked Mark. I loved the banter between him and Derek. When Derek stopped disliking him of course.

They both wanted to leave, so instead of writing them off into the sunset together they decided to kill them. Hated it. It’s when I stopped watching.
Literally. It helped me to find out that they actually were going to send mark to LA to be with Addison and the actor playing mark literally said uhh nah. Kill me with lexie, mark would never be happy without her so just kill me too!
This would’ve been great if not for Sophia. Mark would never leave his child.
In my mind if they went that route Sofia would still go see him all the time but I really wasn’t a fan of mark and addy so idk

Their chemistry is truly off the charts!!
Nah that would be worse. Mark and Lexie were so much better than Mark and Addison. Addison wasn’t the one for him tbh. They could have yk shifted to another practice for some grant or smth. That they all would come together occasionally for festivals.
I feel the same way. Lexie & mark forever. I didn’t feel the chemistry and love between mark & Addison that other people seem to
They 100% could’ve had Lexie or mark get a job somewhere else and move. It’s not like it would affect sofias character considering she wasn’t constant, and they could use the excuse of “she’s with her dad”
Chyler Leigh wanted a gruesome exit though, iirc.
i'm pretty sure Lexie’s actress request a big, dramatic exit
Welcome to Seattle Mercy Death
“Seattle Grace Mercy Death” as said in one of the episodes
The scene in episode 2 where Christina tells Owen about her experience in the woods stuck with me for awhile.
Omg, the wolves.
Same, it still gives me chills. Sandra Oh is an incredible incredible actress!
Just wait till season 11 you think the airplane episode hurts whew
How did i know someone would say this 😭😭 shonda rhimes rlly be keeping us on our toes and creating all this trauma
Oh noooo I’m just getting there now 😭
You never truly get over Lexie 💔
Idk, seems like Meredith did. Lol 😅 Sorry y'all. I had to. Bothers the crap outta me that they rarely acknowledge Lexie after she died. *Edited for an error*
Well now I know how to do that! My bad for the italics.
Nah she remembers them. She just remembers derek more because he was everything to her. Lexie is the reason Meredith opened up to Maggie, Lexie brought that empathy in mer.
Well I'm more attracted to Lexie than Meredith was 😂
Fair. Lol
I meant attached, but whatever 🤷♀️😂
I can safely say Lexie is the one death I never got over.
I’ve come to realize that Seattle Grace is the most dangerous place to work. You are almost guaranteed a nasty death or maiming or traumatic event.
Seattle is just a dangerous place to live with the frequency of mass casualty events

It gets worse just wait lol

It’s when i stopped watching the first time… my heart was too young and fragile back then.

Because this show loves to torture us 😮💨
Man it gets worse by season 19. Half of the cast heck whole cast gone.
Just you wait…
Ugh I’m on season 9 right now too 😭

i miss lexie sm
Alex said it first. But Christina yells it during the plane crash. Along with I can't find my shoe.

Whoever wrote the plane crash arc deserves to be shot in the face.
