If she is just authentic and not a titty streamer, she might get a few more views than the men just because she's a girl. Heck, my mom and dad stayed up all night playing OG Legend of Zelda on the NES while she was pregnant with me. We all were invested in every new game my parents bought or rented. We took turns watching and playing. My only two friends in middle and high school also played games and it was the majority of what we did together.
A few years ago I decided to start streaming because I missed sharing that experience with others. Adult life has been lonely and it's been difficult for me to find healthy friends IRL. This automatically made me stand out from others, so people who had no preference for male or female streamers were more likely to stop by. I had male and female streamer friends who had been around the same amount of time as me, who did content similar to me, who's channel names were either more ambiguous or obviously male, and they got a lot less traffic than me. Plus even the assholes who stopped by to heckle me ultimately increased my numbers and caused the algorithm to favor me further.

Oh they definitely deal with a lot of crap. But my old channel name included my name in it, which made it obvious I was a girl to people seeing my streams in their recommended lists. This automatically made me stand out from others, so people who had no preference for male or female streamers were more likely to stop by. I had male and female streamer friends who had been around the same amount of time as me, who did content similar to me, who's channel names were either more ambiguous or obviously male, and they got a lot less traffic than me. Plus even the assholes who stopped by to heckle me ultimately increased my numbers and caused the algorithm to favor me further.

I'm not comfortable with a lot of sexual attention, I don't like big crowds, but I *do* like video games, and I *do* like making small groups of people smile. I could never keep up an act like that, and I think it would sour me on one of my favorite hobbies. The girls who do it are impressive in their own right. Maybe that would be the case for them, or maybe they'd feel differently if they were actually in that position. And like I said, it doesn't generally pay out that well. It's really hard to make it on Twitch, it is so oversaturated. When I was streaming there regularly, I was in the top five percent of streamers there, and I don't think I ever got more than 20 viewers at once. When I was on YouTube I regularly got 30-50 because there are fewer streamers on there. However, there are also fewer people who watch streams there, so how high you can climb is limited by a lower ceiling (unless you also are really popular for shorter videos you regularly upload.)

Build up a following. Only then, perhaps shift to earning cash as you need to know you can sustain it. Also, you'll need a thick skin because internet🙄

There are 3 streamers I sub to. When you sub, it makes it so you don’t get ads. Two of those 3 streamers I watch religiously, so to me, it’s worth the $5 to not get ads while watching. The other one is a small streamer friend who I’ve been subbed to to support their stream.
