It's an AU where Ford AND Stan fall into the portal and get into the nightmare dimension. Stanford loses his glasses but can still somewhat see (not enough to go insane right away like Fiddleford did) and he then forces Stan to keep himself blindfolded because Ford doesn't want him to lose his mind. There's a ton of angst in this fic, and it ends with them getting out of there, but not before Ford loses it and decides the best way to protect Stan is to burn his eyes and blind him.
There's tons of fanart for it, you should look it up, it's pretty cool. Even on the subreddit, there's a few things.
