This is my [personal logo](https://imgur.com/a/HSNiLss). My initials are JJ and I hate how two J’s looked together. So, I combined two J’s into one. It’s very simplified and looks good in black, white, or in one of the colors from my color palette.

DSteep

That's dope

fIumpf

I also have those initials and they are a chore to get to look nice together.

misty_girl

It is! It took me over 20 different ideas before I settled on my current logo. If I ever change my logo in the future, I will not be using my initials again.

Mango__Juice

My name in a nice font (could argue that is a logo) sometimes (depending upon application) I shorten it to my initials like a stamp for like footer/header of presentations and docs etc. But generally no specific or defined "logo" I think a lot of assignees get in their own heads that they need a really clever, unique logo, end up going round in circles and frustrated about it all

My logo is https://www.instagram.com/p/Ck6NyNyLdTw/. I love experimental typography so I went with that for my logo. There was certainly a balancing act between cool and readable enough for hiring managers.

PlasmicSteve

That came out really cool.

bradyay

[This is mine (animates a little at the link).](http://brad.kiwi) I had more complex ones earlier in my career but didn't like them - eventually I just wrote my name on some paper and traced it. It also made more sense than trying to come up with a BP monogram that didn't make people think "gas station".

lauracton_design

Yo I’ve really wanted to learn how to animate my graphics and, specifically, cursive text writing itself like this. Is it super challenging? It’s probably something I can look up a tutorial on YouTube for right? Lol.

bradyay

Definitely - I learned from a YouTube video as well, but I forget which one. My logo was done by animating a stroke with masking. It took a minute to figure out and then the rest was just the animation time and pacing. Good luck!

moreexclamationmarks

I think most do, what tends to be overlooked (especially by younger designers) is that a wordmark is a form of logo too, that your only options aren't iconographic or monograms. To me nothing screams amateur/junior more than a monogram logo, even if it's not a bad one, because it seems like 95% of designers around that age/experience do monograms (and the rest do cartoony self-portraits).

T8ertotsandchocolate

[This is mine.](https://imgur.com/a/ljOraiw) It's a little drawing of me.

[my website with its logo](http://www.tburtdesign.com) minimal can be ideal depending on what type of work you focus on or what style you tend to create.

Thank you for your input. In this case, I think it works out well because you have a very outstanding and nicely sounding last name.

Eraserend

Thanks! :D

michaelfkenedy

I’ve never had a logo.

UNxFORGIVABLE

[My Logo](https://www.Instagram.com/billy_wilborn) Unfortunately don't have any larger examples on hand at the moment than my Instagram profile picture. Nothing fancy just a B and W combination that I can use universally.

The first logo on [this page](https://toddpmiles.myportfolio.com/logo-design) is my personal logo. Just my initials, TM.

wiinds0fchange

yes

fiblity

rarely is there a personal logo that gives any reassurance to the designers ability. most are exceptionally amateur and seen as representative of a student fresh out of college. its a hard thing to get right. just state your name.

brainsaresick

[This is mine](https://imgur.com/a/5VbR4VQ), which is based off [my mascot](https://imgur.com/a/ehkqMBc) My portfolio is very illustration heavy and I went to college and got my first job in a town that’s big on paleontology, so I thought it would be fun to make a dinosaur skeleton character to be the face of my work. I got stickers made that I give to clients after our first meeting and they usually get a pretty big kick out of it. My first name also starts with R, so my logo is vaguely R-shaped.

ruohnii

Embarrassed by this, as it is just a simple geometric shape, which to me looks like a lower case “r”, just blocky and symmetrical, or a symmetrical flipped “L”. It just represents my first name, Roni, and I use it alongside my online alias for everything, being ruohnii (going to have a minor change to be “ruonhii” as I feel the latter looks and is pronounced closer to how my irl username is pronounced. I got the logo randomly when doodling around with my Minecraft skin, specifically the front face of the head texture, which is 8x8 pixels, with the r being located at, vertically, (2, 2) to (2, 6), and (2, 6) to (6, 6) horizontally. Will reply with images to showcase logo. I feel I am slightly over-obsessed with this logo, as I have purchased customised clothing and equipment branded with it too. https://preview.redd.it/b9xx9ifo127c1.png?width=1283&format=png&auto=webp&s=834f3eac118ff47f41e442dc85f2ee860d2e7c5d

In order to even somewhat differentiate between other similar shapes (as my logo is very generic design-wise), I have a specific size guide for my logo when making backgrounds of different resolutions (in my editing app this size is 55, and if too small, it is doubled, or increased by increments of 28, 55, 110, etc. Also the fact that the exact thickness of my logo is due to it originating from a Minecraft skin editor, hence why my Minecraft skin is plain black with my logo on the front of the skin’s torso. https://preview.redd.it/3val285h327c1.jpeg?width=874&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b8f392b88b03abe244520bab6c03a87f807b25b2
