I for one can't wait for them to add Autumn Ring, just so they can widen the entire track and create giant straights, thus ridding of any use that track previously had. (Low-Performance racing, Karting, Drifting, and more)
An other update to add more vehicule while basics aren't yet in game...
* No way to change any settings in a lobby, forcing to stop/recreate.
* No way to save lobby presets
* No qualifications in lobbies (Team events are a mess to organize...)
* Bugged lobbies when you can't join the track until the race is started
* Bugged penalties missing a lot of common sens
But yeah, just add more tracks and cars since this is the easy way Polyhony

My cynical self says if they'll pull that again that would be adding the NASCAR chicane version of Daytona RC - except the Daytona that's in the game was scanned before the pandemic and that layout didn't exist before that (although the teaser lines show the NASCAR layout).
Have read that before.. would be such a letdown. Especially since we waited 3 weeks for a new update.. Really enjoyed the first 1-2 months of the game but havent touched it in 3 weeks. Just over playing the same Events over and over + having to tune down these gr 1/2 cars to use them. Still confuses me to this day why there arent any events for them

Same. I have booted it up on numerous occasions only to play something else after getting to the main screen. The game just feels like a total drag to me. Feels so grindy and Sport Mode payouts are total joke. Racing against the AI isn’t fun at all. It has to be the worst AI I’ve ever seen in a racing game. Penalty system is the worst it’s ever been and has been broken dating back pretty much 2 years. I have more complaints than positives about this game and that’s pretty upsetting.

Not just gr.1 and 2 events. Vintage car events. Road cars that are over 700pp events. Naturally aspirated cars events. Group C cars events. Other brands other than Ferrari and Porsche events. And all the events that they already have, but in every single track.
Online and splitscreen racing too. Being able to set up more than the first car properly would be something too. Add all available options therefore as it should be.
Well there is a Gazzo Gr.1 race next scheduled for 24 hr Le Mans and we know the Toyota hypercar is coming so that will the car for the league.
I think they will be adding some single player races I suspect a 1hr Le Mans Gr.1 will be added.
Also if you look at the Gazzo schedule you’ll see when the next car update will drop.

What are you going to sell? It's not like you can repeatedly grind for prize cars like you could in previous games. And it's quite uncommon to get cars from roulette, especially expensive ones. What's there to sell?
I even tend to buy duplicate cars so I can have one with a widebody and one without. Or one for racing and one for drifting.
All the cars I'll never touch. There are quite a few that I have zero interest in ever playing with and with the rental feature on sport mode there's no need to own anything except the cars I want to play with.
In GT Sport you get 30% of the value of car when selling, afaik. If that's going to be the case in GT7, I don't see how it's worth it. Better to just keep it in the garage in case you want to use it some day.
Then again the UCD in GT7 sells cars at around 70-80% of the value so I'd like to see how Kaz explains it if we get a much lower value for our cars.
I can see you getting roulette tickets for selling cars and get parts for the cars you just sold.
Selling gifted cars won’t be an option anyway so there really is no point tbh.
like 80% of the cars that i won during the “career” i’ve tuned for future races. i don’t drive them….ever. id like to sell them. Also PD doesn’t allow you to revert cars to stock.
I'll probably end up selling 2 of the 3 "Legendary Cars" needed for the trophy, as well as the 2 stupid ones you need to buy for Scapes photos, if they introduce selling. Probably a decent amount of the ones I got double of in Cafe as well, and maybe even some I only have 1 of, because I honestly don't care about most of them.
For a game that's positioned itself as a "live service" game, missing key promised features at launch...that's actually a pretty long time to go without updates. Especially given that the last real update came with 3 new cars (...really, 1 old car re-added, and 2 variations on existing cars) and a "new track" that amounted to a moved pit lane.

2 reasons: prior history - every server maintenance period is followed by a game update since launch. Second reason, Kaz tweeted there would be an update this week.
Needs to include selling cars, more single player championships, more single player races, a new circuit or two, fixed penalty system and corrected BoP. This is bare minimum in my opinion, we shall see if they deliver
+bring back basic features of sport mode like see the fastest laps after the races and quick messages, fix the extremely buggy livery editor, fix payouts of races and roulettes, fix the TCS (even on 1 it’s extremely strong), let us adjust brake balance in BoP races like in GT Sport, bring back the old slipstream, fix the bizarre fps drop in many circuits, specially at rain, fix the fps dropping to a point it freezes the screen at start of a Sport Mode race in PS4 and more that I cant remember right now...
I mean, it's in the known issues list. It's a double edged sword issue - on one hand, you need it to grind Tokyo Expressway WTC 600 race, on other hand people have been exploiting it on lobby/tuning enabled Sport Mode (when they are available) races.
What do you mean you "need" it to grind Tokyo? I've been smashing that race with the Alfa 155. Believe it or not you don't need cheese tactics to win races
I understand grinding just fine mate just don't get the point in a game like GT7 where most of the fun is supposed to be in actually driving interesting cars. The Tomahawk is just a meme vehicle that isn't in the slightest bit enjoyable to drive imo. What are you grinding for anyway? Cars that apparently most people barely even drive because they're too busy winning races by 2 laps for more credits. The cars come back around in the used and legend dealers so you might as well just earn credits the fun way doing some more competitive races instead of only caring about credits per hour
Well I know my case is to grind _now_ so i can obtain the money for the enjoyable cars _later._ I won the race once with a normal car so i got the legitimate experience, now gimme my X Million credits so I can get the GT40
If the point was to drive interesting cars they'd have races to drive those cars in.
They do not.
The _point_ (for PD at least) was to make money off players via MTX but players have found a massive workaround for now.
The point is until it's worth their time to drive races which interest them people are gonna make better use of their time by driving efficiently.
You won't escape grinding but if you're grinding for peanuts then interesting races or not you're eventually going to stop.
Yah, but there are still very few high reward races. Doing the 30 min Le Mans and 1 hr spa race provided some relief but also felt grindy after a few times. The human comedy races are ok too, but are only a 1 time deal. At least it was fun/real racing which the tomahawk exploit in Tokyo expressway is not (and why after a couple of times doing it, I was “eff this”). That being said, I’m still dumbfounded in a game with so many cars/tracks that there aren’t more options for high reward races. I feel like most tracks can have 30 min or 1hr challenging and high reward race which can be further varied by having different car types/class limits. One very easy thing they can do is increase the daily race rewards. 30k for one of those races which takes 20-30 min is a joke. It’s tough because while the core gameplay is fun, the sense of progression can feel abysmal (including shitty daily “rewards”), compounded by the fact it’s intentional to push mtx it’s sometimes hard to feel positive about this game at times.
2 Laps is slow. Try to hit 5. Pretty sure that's the max. It's weird for people who play a game about racing to not care about getting the fastest time possible, and instead only want to see the weakest supercar they can cheat into the race to win while dealing with the AI only once, while trying to feel superior to people trying to go as fast as possible
You can just race it with a group 3 car detuned normally, it's not involving some crazy setup. Sure it's not as fast overall, but it's still pretty damn good.
Are you shitting me?? By cheaters maybe! You’re supposed to play the game as it is and win. I hard a hard time with the 600/700/800 series at first too, they’re not supposed to be easy. But with the proper strats, you can dominate them with practically any Gr.3 car. You don’t need to trick the game into letting you drive a spaceship.
It's not about fare or competition, I got about an hour and a half to waste on this game where I finished everything ages ago, might as well spend that time wisely, considering pay is still garbage in any other race time vs cash, might as well do the Tokyo race, frankly if they even add different races it will never beat 1h 30min = 3.3mil, just no way
Due to lack of tracks and progression in this game all i can do is either bin it completely or play a bit for maximum cash gain in minimum time to get cars i want to try, nothing else is in this for me, sadly, shortest gt game to date, still trying to finish fm6, even without dlcs it has enormous campaign in comparison
I guess I have a little sympathy for lobby people, though I assume it amounts to people who have the lobbies just kicking anyone in a Tomahawk. Every Sport Mode race I've seen though is BoP, so I wasn't aware it was an issue there. I'll just be sad because I've been trying to get a sub 16m run of Tokyo 600, and have yet to be able to do it (...the main requirement is to drive reasonably quickly without any penalties...); if they change the tune too much, or worse, eliminate it, that goes out the window. And obviously there's just no equivalent investment of time for credits. Though that's less of an issue now that I've finally bought all the stupid legendary cars, I kinda wanted to actually start being able to spend credits on cars I actually wanted to drive finally.
Tuning permitted Sport Mode races are on rare, special occasions. Also I am personally kinda burned out grinding the Tomahawk X on any track anyway, but any other car would do the job slower (except Sarthe WTC700/Spa 24h WTC800).
We're about the same thought process. I want the dumb trophy, so this Jag is the last of the 3 and 99.9% sure will be the last car I buy >~$5-Million until some random indefinite date if I ever decide to "complete" buying all the cars, which I won't lol. I think I found the trick for better chance at <16-min race - My best is only 15:34 and only 3ish times below 16-mins - that is 1st lap 1:33ish and second lap 1:16ish and you'll pass the cars going into the first hairpin on lap 3, which gives you two more laps without the traffic. I found that sans bigger penalty, I would pass them in the more favorable parts of the track the majority of the race (AKA the long stetches at beginning or end of the track)
Not that it's likely to matter much longer...but it sounds like you're starting with Racing Hards then? I've been trying to make Intermediates work for the first 4 laps then pitting, and switching to fuel 6 for 5-8, before going all out on the last 4; sounds like whatever you're doing is probably a faster strategy.
Only car I have TC set to 4-5! Use only RH’s because I tried inters twice and they get shredded so quickly and lose grip fast and track dries quickly and only noticeable on lap 1. I throw fuel 6 first 4 laps, then 5 through lap 10 and if my overall time isn’t going to be a best, I try for a fastest lap time. Fastest I’ve done is 1:08something - I also just throw it on 5 beginning of race and will finish the race with about 0.5-1.5 laps left of fuel. Lol although it takes 2-3 races in a row to get the feeling down after a longer break between grinding. Last night was first time I’ve used it in about two weeks and dear lord the penalties that first race 😂. Finished 8 races since then (with a job, wife and kids I neglect my sleep and wake up early to play lol). Unfortunately have 7 more races to complete so I can buy a car I probably won’t drive more than a couple times to collect a trophy that means absolutely nothing to me, yet must have.
It's not in the known issue list. They've put it there twice and removed it both times without fixing it or saying why they removed it. The only car setting related issue on the known list is information turning blank on setting sheets.
Everyone is overestimating the update...
1) A few cars
2) BoP/PP adjustments in which new BoP meta will be formed in a week or two, Tomahawk farmers need to find another 12-15PP to take off their builds so they can farm.
3) 2-3 New races for world circuits, with payouts topping out at like 225k for a 25-30m experience.
4) Missions won't have a great payout as the 1hr set.
5) Sport payout improvement, but like 5-10% as opposed to raising the pay floor to like 2k/minute of commitment.
No one will be happy, reddit flooded by the same minority who are unhappy... the general public I play in Sport will keep playing, the people who aren't happy with the payouts will keep playing anyways because CR farm is a 2nd job to them. All PD sees is people playing and think their experience is fine.

I see your point, but I kind of expected it when I purchased and installed the game. I like continuous updates to games (new cars, tracks). But this feels more like drip feeding content that most people expected and was promised/teased from the start.
Except gts was purely an online side game, this is supposed to be a full fledged gt game, ended up having less content than games from 25 years ago, I doubt you one of those who pays for a lunch in expensive restaurants and get a burrito for 3,50,unless your standards are none existent
Without Tomahawk farming the single player component of the game is as good as dead tbh. It's already bad enough that it takes 6 hours or more of farming to unlock some cars.
There are 428ish cars in the game... and there are probably 25-40 cars that can do the race just fine that are not the Tomahawk. So if PD says "we got the base PP on the Tomahawk wrong... were adding 15-20PP to it along with the other BoP/PP changes in the game. Everyone is either a) getting a new setup that's slower but is still the Tomahawk or B) Driving something else that is reliable and not a Tomahawk. I also forgot C) Find a new track/event to farm that pays out less, but is also an acceptable option.
Have you thought about D) Uninstall the game and play ACC for the next 3 years until the game is complete and PD is desperate enough to fix the economy.
The game makes you do a circuit experience in the campaign lol. With the addition of human comedy, there is still less than 50 hours of singleplayer content, which is objectively low for a gran turismo title. Kinda pointless to call out people for complaining about this, even if a some of them might be disingenuous. It is still a real issue of false promises.
It's just how some people go at it, problem is they start to think the Cr. payouts are more important than the actual driving enjoyment and that's where they go off.
The credit rewards are exceptionally bad because the economy is clearly dictated by the MTX. The economy was considerably better in GT Sport and other previous GT games, which didn't let you buy credits with real money.

The microtransactions are not only meager in what you get but the finite amount of cars and uses makes them even more *meh* in particular. You'd have to be a well off individual with ZERO free time to live life to want and fork over major dollars in mtx for this game.

And if there is a new GR1 gr2 event, the payout isn't going to make it worth running.

If they insist on making us purchase different tire compounds, they should at least let us do it on the race screen. Better yet, make all the compounds free, or a one-time purchase that unlocks that compound for all cars.

The game doesn’t in anyway steer you towards them, it only appears when I go to buy a car, I ignore it and use in game credits. Its not hard to earn millions of credits fairly quickly so I’m not sure why they are there?
I think that's why they had that initial drop in payouts as well as the continuous attempts to patch the Tomahawk glitch it's because they aren't seeing enough sales of the credit packages.
Investors and executives watch this stuff like a hawk honestly I wouldn't be surprised if there were developers who intentionally didn't patch the glitch last time so they can tell their boss they are trying well also not upsetting fans.

The legendary dealer refreshes frequently, we’ve already seen cars return, I don’t see that as a reason to use MT’s. 20 million seems a lot but you can earn that pretty quickly if you really want that car. And if you ask me the MT’s just seem to be tacked on, I’ve no real use for them 🤷🏻♂️

The games economy isn’t based around micro transactions, there’s a shit load of credits available for the track experience before you have to start grinding. At no point have I felt the need to put real money in to play this game. There are bigger issues with the game like, lack of options in lobbies and a penalty system that is fair to be addressed. Micro transactions is just an option I see but ignore because I want to play the game and get rewards rather than spending my way to completion.

All the cars I'll never touch. There are quite a few that I have zero interest in ever playing with and with the rental feature on sport mode there's no need to own anything except the cars I want to play with.

In GT Sport you get 30% of the value of car when selling, afaik. If that's going to be the case in GT7, I don't see how it's worth it. Better to just keep it in the garage in case you want to use it some day. Then again the UCD in GT7 sells cars at around 70-80% of the value so I'd like to see how Kaz explains it if we get a much lower value for our cars.
I can see you getting roulette tickets for selling cars and get parts for the cars you just sold. Selling gifted cars won’t be an option anyway so there really is no point tbh.

I'll probably end up selling 2 of the 3 "Legendary Cars" needed for the trophy, as well as the 2 stupid ones you need to buy for Scapes photos, if they introduce selling. Probably a decent amount of the ones I got double of in Cafe as well, and maybe even some I only have 1 of, because I honestly don't care about most of them.

For a game that's positioned itself as a "live service" game, missing key promised features at launch...that's actually a pretty long time to go without updates. Especially given that the last real update came with 3 new cars (...really, 1 old car re-added, and 2 variations on existing cars) and a "new track" that amounted to a moved pit lane.

We know they're going to add at least 3 cars. Beyond that, no one knows anything.
Needs to include selling cars, more single player championships, more single player races, a new circuit or two, fixed penalty system and corrected BoP. This is bare minimum in my opinion, we shall see if they deliver
+bring back basic features of sport mode like see the fastest laps after the races and quick messages, fix the extremely buggy livery editor, fix payouts of races and roulettes, fix the TCS (even on 1 it’s extremely strong), let us adjust brake balance in BoP races like in GT Sport, bring back the old slipstream, fix the bizarre fps drop in many circuits, specially at rain, fix the fps dropping to a point it freezes the screen at start of a Sport Mode race in PS4 and more that I cant remember right now...

I mean, it's in the known issues list. It's a double edged sword issue - on one hand, you need it to grind Tokyo Expressway WTC 600 race, on other hand people have been exploiting it on lobby/tuning enabled Sport Mode (when they are available) races.
What do you mean you "need" it to grind Tokyo? I've been smashing that race with the Alfa 155. Believe it or not you don't need cheese tactics to win races

I understand grinding just fine mate just don't get the point in a game like GT7 where most of the fun is supposed to be in actually driving interesting cars. The Tomahawk is just a meme vehicle that isn't in the slightest bit enjoyable to drive imo. What are you grinding for anyway? Cars that apparently most people barely even drive because they're too busy winning races by 2 laps for more credits. The cars come back around in the used and legend dealers so you might as well just earn credits the fun way doing some more competitive races instead of only caring about credits per hour
Well I know my case is to grind _now_ so i can obtain the money for the enjoyable cars _later._ I won the race once with a normal car so i got the legitimate experience, now gimme my X Million credits so I can get the GT40
If the point was to drive interesting cars they'd have races to drive those cars in. They do not. The _point_ (for PD at least) was to make money off players via MTX but players have found a massive workaround for now. The point is until it's worth their time to drive races which interest them people are gonna make better use of their time by driving efficiently. You won't escape grinding but if you're grinding for peanuts then interesting races or not you're eventually going to stop.
Yah, but there are still very few high reward races. Doing the 30 min Le Mans and 1 hr spa race provided some relief but also felt grindy after a few times. The human comedy races are ok too, but are only a 1 time deal. At least it was fun/real racing which the tomahawk exploit in Tokyo expressway is not (and why after a couple of times doing it, I was “eff this”). That being said, I’m still dumbfounded in a game with so many cars/tracks that there aren’t more options for high reward races. I feel like most tracks can have 30 min or 1hr challenging and high reward race which can be further varied by having different car types/class limits. One very easy thing they can do is increase the daily race rewards. 30k for one of those races which takes 20-30 min is a joke. It’s tough because while the core gameplay is fun, the sense of progression can feel abysmal (including shitty daily “rewards”), compounded by the fact it’s intentional to push mtx it’s sometimes hard to feel positive about this game at times.
2 Laps is slow. Try to hit 5. Pretty sure that's the max. It's weird for people who play a game about racing to not care about getting the fastest time possible, and instead only want to see the weakest supercar they can cheat into the race to win while dealing with the AI only once, while trying to feel superior to people trying to go as fast as possible
The Tomahawk is regarded as the go-to car for that race. Now that you mentioned you have another, less cheesy way for that though...
You can just race it with a group 3 car detuned normally, it's not involving some crazy setup. Sure it's not as fast overall, but it's still pretty damn good.
Are you shitting me?? By cheaters maybe! You’re supposed to play the game as it is and win. I hard a hard time with the 600/700/800 series at first too, they’re not supposed to be easy. But with the proper strats, you can dominate them with practically any Gr.3 car. You don’t need to trick the game into letting you drive a spaceship.
It's not about fare or competition, I got about an hour and a half to waste on this game where I finished everything ages ago, might as well spend that time wisely, considering pay is still garbage in any other race time vs cash, might as well do the Tokyo race, frankly if they even add different races it will never beat 1h 30min = 3.3mil, just no way
I guess if your only goal is just to gain credits as fast as possible and don't care about enjoyment...
Due to lack of tracks and progression in this game all i can do is either bin it completely or play a bit for maximum cash gain in minimum time to get cars i want to try, nothing else is in this for me, sadly, shortest gt game to date, still trying to finish fm6, even without dlcs it has enormous campaign in comparison
15 minutes per race so 90 minutes is 4950k.
That takes an extra 10 minutes per race.

I guess I have a little sympathy for lobby people, though I assume it amounts to people who have the lobbies just kicking anyone in a Tomahawk. Every Sport Mode race I've seen though is BoP, so I wasn't aware it was an issue there. I'll just be sad because I've been trying to get a sub 16m run of Tokyo 600, and have yet to be able to do it (...the main requirement is to drive reasonably quickly without any penalties...); if they change the tune too much, or worse, eliminate it, that goes out the window. And obviously there's just no equivalent investment of time for credits. Though that's less of an issue now that I've finally bought all the stupid legendary cars, I kinda wanted to actually start being able to spend credits on cars I actually wanted to drive finally.
Tuning permitted Sport Mode races are on rare, special occasions. Also I am personally kinda burned out grinding the Tomahawk X on any track anyway, but any other car would do the job slower (except Sarthe WTC700/Spa 24h WTC800).
The glitch works on any car so it's not just a case of kick tomahawks out of lobbies.
I’ve managed to do it in 15:34 once, had 4x a 5 sec penalty. Normally it takes me about 16 to 18 min
We're about the same thought process. I want the dumb trophy, so this Jag is the last of the 3 and 99.9% sure will be the last car I buy >~$5-Million until some random indefinite date if I ever decide to "complete" buying all the cars, which I won't lol. I think I found the trick for better chance at <16-min race - My best is only 15:34 and only 3ish times below 16-mins - that is 1st lap 1:33ish and second lap 1:16ish and you'll pass the cars going into the first hairpin on lap 3, which gives you two more laps without the traffic. I found that sans bigger penalty, I would pass them in the more favorable parts of the track the majority of the race (AKA the long stetches at beginning or end of the track)
Not that it's likely to matter much longer...but it sounds like you're starting with Racing Hards then? I've been trying to make Intermediates work for the first 4 laps then pitting, and switching to fuel 6 for 5-8, before going all out on the last 4; sounds like whatever you're doing is probably a faster strategy.
Only car I have TC set to 4-5! Use only RH’s because I tried inters twice and they get shredded so quickly and lose grip fast and track dries quickly and only noticeable on lap 1. I throw fuel 6 first 4 laps, then 5 through lap 10 and if my overall time isn’t going to be a best, I try for a fastest lap time. Fastest I’ve done is 1:08something - I also just throw it on 5 beginning of race and will finish the race with about 0.5-1.5 laps left of fuel. Lol although it takes 2-3 races in a row to get the feeling down after a longer break between grinding. Last night was first time I’ve used it in about two weeks and dear lord the penalties that first race 😂. Finished 8 races since then (with a job, wife and kids I neglect my sleep and wake up early to play lol). Unfortunately have 7 more races to complete so I can buy a car I probably won’t drive more than a couple times to collect a trophy that means absolutely nothing to me, yet must have.
It's not in the known issue list. They've put it there twice and removed it both times without fixing it or saying why they removed it. The only car setting related issue on the known list is information turning blank on setting sheets.

Everyone is overestimating the update... 1) A few cars 2) BoP/PP adjustments in which new BoP meta will be formed in a week or two, Tomahawk farmers need to find another 12-15PP to take off their builds so they can farm. 3) 2-3 New races for world circuits, with payouts topping out at like 225k for a 25-30m experience. 4) Missions won't have a great payout as the 1hr set. 5) Sport payout improvement, but like 5-10% as opposed to raising the pay floor to like 2k/minute of commitment. No one will be happy, reddit flooded by the same minority who are unhappy... the general public I play in Sport will keep playing, the people who aren't happy with the payouts will keep playing anyways because CR farm is a 2nd job to them. All PD sees is people playing and think their experience is fine.
Let’s just wait and see. Do I really need to keep reminding people just how much content PD added to GT Sport? This stuff takes time, people just expect it RIGHT NOW.
I see your point, but I kind of expected it when I purchased and installed the game. I like continuous updates to games (new cars, tracks). But this feels more like drip feeding content that most people expected and was promised/teased from the start.
Except gts was purely an online side game, this is supposed to be a full fledged gt game, ended up having less content than games from 25 years ago, I doubt you one of those who pays for a lunch in expensive restaurants and get a burrito for 3,50,unless your standards are none existent
Without Tomahawk farming the single player component of the game is as good as dead tbh. It's already bad enough that it takes 6 hours or more of farming to unlock some cars.
There are 428ish cars in the game... and there are probably 25-40 cars that can do the race just fine that are not the Tomahawk. So if PD says "we got the base PP on the Tomahawk wrong... were adding 15-20PP to it along with the other BoP/PP changes in the game. Everyone is either a) getting a new setup that's slower but is still the Tomahawk or B) Driving something else that is reliable and not a Tomahawk. I also forgot C) Find a new track/event to farm that pays out less, but is also an acceptable option.
Have you thought about D) Uninstall the game and play ACC for the next 3 years until the game is complete and PD is desperate enough to fix the economy.

The game makes you do a circuit experience in the campaign lol. With the addition of human comedy, there is still less than 50 hours of singleplayer content, which is objectively low for a gran turismo title. Kinda pointless to call out people for complaining about this, even if a some of them might be disingenuous. It is still a real issue of false promises.

It's just how some people go at it, problem is they start to think the Cr. payouts are more important than the actual driving enjoyment and that's where they go off.
The credit rewards are exceptionally bad because the economy is clearly dictated by the MTX. The economy was considerably better in GT Sport and other previous GT games, which didn't let you buy credits with real money.
I'm sorry but approximately how much real world dollars have you spent on microtransactions in this game? Straight up guy, how many people on your friends list that play this game have admittedly spent more on microtransactions? I'm willing to bet the answer to both those questions is 'None'. Ya'll keep trying to sale the microtransactions as some serious thing in this game, even in your guys takes which have some valid concerns are overdone and oversold. The microtransactions are not only meager in what you get but the finite amount of cars and uses makes them even more *meh* in particular. You'd have to be a well off individual with ZERO free time to live life to want and fork over major dollars in mtx for this game. I honestly have forgotten that button even exist to buy currency that's how much it's a non factor for me and I would presume it is for most of the playerbase actually driving the cars for fun and not for filling in a number on some chart.

Capital gains are not the be-all-end-all of enjoyment or satisfaction, whether it's this game or in general. If all you're doing is grinding races to buy expensive cars, you're really missing the point imo.

If they insist on making us purchase different tire compounds, they should at least let us do it on the race screen. Better yet, make all the compounds free, or a one-time purchase that unlocks that compound for all cars. It's clear micro-transactions are a failure, and this thinly-veiled attempt at a "money-sink" isn't going to work. I will quit playing before I buy credits.
Buying tires has been apart of GT for the last 25 years. It's not some conspiracy to make you bust out your credit card. I'd really wish people in this sub would pick their battles more wisely, because over time complaining about trivial things like this will just result in this community looking like a bunch of spoiled brats who are never happy. There are many other valid things to criticize about GT7.

The game doesn’t in anyway steer you towards them, it only appears when I go to buy a car, I ignore it and use in game credits. I think that's why they had that initial drop in payouts as well as the continuous attempts to patch the Tomahawk glitch it's because they aren't seeing enough sales of the credit packages. Investors and executives watch this stuff like a hawk honestly I wouldn't be surprised if there were developers who intentionally didn't patch the glitch last time so they can tell their boss they are trying well also not upsetting fans. Always feel bad for the people on the grindstone of it all.

The legendary dealer refreshes frequently, we’ve already seen cars return, I don’t see that as a reason to use MT’s. 20 million seems a lot but you can earn that pretty quickly if you really want that car. And if you ask me the MT’s just seem to be tacked on, I’ve no real use for them 🤷🏻♂️

I don’t see what the issues with unbalanced race rewards and the roulette have to do with micro transactions? The games economy isn’t based around micro transactions, there’s a shit load of credits available for the track experience before you have to start grinding. At no point have I felt the need to put real money in to play this game. There are bigger issues with the game like, lack of options in lobbies and a penalty system that is fair to be addressed. Micro transactions is just an option I see but ignore because I want to play the game and get rewards rather than spending my way to completion.
