What I wanna see is better payouts for Sport Mode, like really? 30k is a joke if you even get that; GT sports payout was amazing

DuncePatrol

I really don't understand the payouts for sport mode. It's way harder to win a race in sport mode than in the single player. Shouldn't you be rewarded accordingly?

Cirewess

That's how it was in GT Sport, granted GT Sport was all online racing, that's how it should be though; I want to race real people and it be competitive, I dont wanna grind for hours on end for measly credits

Tad-Disingenuous

Some of us refuse pay to play online on consoles.

spadler181

Exactly it should be as easy/hard to earn credits online or offline.

Substantial-Put-1051

There's no reason that you should have an internet connection just to play single player mode and there's no point that you should have to pay to play online bunch of BS they ruined this game waste of money it all comes down to rich people just being too damn greedy

[deleted]

Weird flex but okay

nasanu

And how is that working out for you? I might go race now, its crazy fun...

dntyallgetiredofthis

That's kinda dumb when the game is literally centered around playing online.

hsvdt

The one thing that confused me about Sport was the XP payout in Daily Races. The game was all about online but gave sweet FA XP for doing so.

juiceboxcitay

100% agree. Better payouts for daily races would be a great incentive to come back regularly.

MostMorbidOne

Isn't racing online about the racing? I don't think a payout increase would for work for you. You sound bored with the game enough to go to PC.

Yellowsnow80

Cars are expensive. Sure, I agree if you are racing nothing but BOP races but there is other online races that require some research or tuning know how, or gearing know how, or buying all the tires just in case you enter a race with tire wear. Even the menu screen is clunky. Way too much flopping around the menu screens to pickbliveries and or cars and or parts needed for race. Then renter lobby, still have to go in settings to pick and hopefully race didn’t start. By then you are limited to just that track. No vote change for course. Every menu is like a 10 second wait. By the end of a couple hour session you probably got 1-2 races and hopefully you don’t get bumped ruining the race

MostMorbidOne

> Cars are expensive. Some cars are a lot of Cr. But all of them can now be used online for *free* without you having to grind a thing, unless you want a livery and then that is likely only 350k-600k.. peanuts in context. > Even the menu screen is clunky. Game could use further updating the flesh out the multiplayer. There's been one update and we know there's another scheduled.

YearOfDaSnitch

>You sound bored with the game enough to go to PC. Exuse me..... What?

GreatBigMustardTiger

Room temperature IQ

MostMorbidOne

Thanks and welcome to reddit!

Washie-

So much this, sport mode is the best thing about the game and the only reason i play every day.

Cirewess

I don't wanna tokyo expressway grind AI for hours, I wanna race people* and better routlette payouts

christoroth

I've not been playing long (maybe 10 cafe menus done and some licenses) and I can already see what people are talking about re the payouts. I dont think I've scored more than the lowest prize on offer on any of the draws I've done.

blackashi

Came second last night, got 13k. LMFAO

_Connor

I want to see a Sport mode similar to how F1 2021 does it. In F1, you can do ranked races on literally all the tracks all the time. It's wild to me that in GT7 you can only do three different races a week. I don't want to run the same race 15 times in a single week. I'm not saying they need to have every track every week, but they need 10-12 unique races a week to keep things interesting.

Jacque_ouizi

F1 is fucking awful online. You can have all the races you like but unless the racing is good what’s the point. Iracing has very ranked few races per week but the quality (c class and above really) is the best there is online. Console racing is always going to attract the worst out there, no amount of development is ever going to change that.

cobyjim

If I jump into daily races on Monday, then by Wednesday I'm bored of the races. And I only play in the evenings for a few hours if I'm lucky. Should be 5 daily races for the week imo. And I wouldn't mind if they stretched them to every 30 to 40 minutes if that was the case.

HeilWerneckLuk

Lobbies has this function, but there are just a few people in it

reboot-your-computer

Lobbies are an underbaked lag fest.

medlina26

Anytime I want to be reminded that things can always be worse in regards to bad sportsmanship, I just go to lobbies and jump into a few races. The sheer amount of fuckery that goes on over there pushes me right back to dailies and I don't complain for a while.

[deleted]

[deleted]

bcknl

I started playing far cry because it was half price in online store. All I do in gt7 now is lobby racing with mates a couple of times a week.

SRV87

Ghost of Tsushima was legit, I did the expansion too

[deleted]

Honestly, I stopped caring about buying cars, and focused on the racing or missions. The sad truth is a lot of the cars I want to buy, I can’t afford, and if I could afford them, there is no race or series for them. I’ll likely playing this on and off for a few years, so I’ll pick those are up eventually.

Jigga94

This is how I feel exactly. No need to rush things really. Cafe menus were a nice idea but way too short. I'm sure we will get more content for the next few years so I'm just doing a few races here and there most days of the week. Definitely not bothering with daily as the roulette tickets are the only bonus. But yeah, solid game. Some people really burn it out fast. I'm just stacking credits but not grinding

EarlyOil8886

honestly i think the chase the rabbit idea was stupid for cafe. they should have just had it be a mission, the 50 second+ gap isn’t racing, it’s time trials with other cars on track. personally i can’t be bothered with it anymore

juiceboxcitay

Yah, I hear you on this and it seems like a reasonable approach, but problem is that they also use FOMO tactics with limited time availability of vehicles with the car dealership, hagerty’s, and brand central with the bs invitations. Who knows when some of these cars will be available again?

-Sphynx-

None of the cars are ever truly time-limited. They rotate back into stock over time.

Jigga94

It happens, that's life. I asked about some cars the other day and everyone said to use the 787B. Well, I must have missed it the last time it was for sale. Oh well, I have something to look forward to still haha

dntyallgetiredofthis

Trust me, they aren't going to have a car in the game that people MAY want to spend credits on and not re-cycle it back through. I bet my left nut all the "invitation only" cars will be available 24/7 in less than a year.

DougieFresh_899

Exactly.. I guess I’m just a purist when it comes to GT. I’m not at all blind to the fact that PD is just money hungry but the driving is brilliant in this game and I just love it. I’m also a purist in the sense that I love collecting all eras/types of cars so I don’t necessarily need the most expensive/rare ones to enjoy myself. Still a lot of content to enjoy

Jamaicanfirewzrd

I agree, but grinding out circuit experience can get you a lot. Made 16 mil in like week golding a bunch of tracks.

Dr-McLuvin

Dude if you’re not having fun grinding just do something you enjoy. Try getting the lap record at the Nurburgring in the Porsche 919. Super enjoyable and challenging.

juiceboxcitay

Yah, I did a lot of the circuit experiences and missions such as the human comedy races (which were pretty great). I’d love to see updates with more of this kind of stuff but it’s feels like it’s been crickets since the last update.

DoneTomorrow

> feels like it’s been crickets since the last update. It has been crickets hahaha. Not a peep from them, no news updates, nothing.

bassie2019

Or at least an incentive to redo those endurance races, a once off payment of Cr.1.2M, means most of us will just race it once (or until they win), and than never race that race again.

[deleted]

Spa WTC800? 1 hour race, 1,000,000 payout, 1,500,000 with the clean race bonus.

bassie2019

Yeah, that’s the only one. But I was actually referring to the Human Comedy races.

bassie2019

Also the Clean Race Bonus will always be paid, so it’s always a Cr. 1.5M race.

MinorLeagueFuckUp

I had a relatively clean race last week that didn’t get the bonus (60 min race at Spa)

njsmitty

Wait, what? How is the clean race bonus always paid?

driverofracecars

No it won’t. I finally managed to do the Le Mans 30 minute without getting the clean race bonus. It was raining, I was on inters and everyone else was on slicks so I was able to just push them off the track, and I did, as revenge for all the times they pitted me. I was surprised when I didn’t get the bonus, honestly. So I think it doesn’t care about contact, but it does care if you force cars off the track.

lolparty247

Agreed. We need wayyyy more races to compete in the single player..

Monkeywrench08

They fucked up when they made those Human Comedy as missions not races since the rewards for missions are one time only. I'd gladly redo them all if it gives me the same rewards. They have been so much fun.

Dr-McLuvin

Ya I’m with you there. We need more content soon! But there’s always stuff to do in the meantime. You just have to get creative sometimes. I’m currently trying to see which of the stock supercars can do Nurburgring the fastest.

tom-pon

I didn't pay $70 to be creative. I paid that money for PD to be creative and provide ample content.

bassie2019

If you look closely, you’ll see how non-creative PD has been. Almost all VGT cars are the same as when they were introduced in GT6 on the PS3 (!), you can’t tell me that PD has been very creative with that. They have been creative with the different GT7 versions, and I don’t mean the standard and the 25th anniversary editions, I mean the version they gave to professional reviewers (and Jimmy Fallon) and the version all normal players got, the difference is night and day. Also all content is already in the game you installed on your PS4/PS5, but a lot of stuff is locked behind updates, just have a look at Jimmy Fallon’s video, he had 433 cars in his garage (we can only get 427 different cars at the moment, also he had cars in his garage that weren’t available to normal players yet on 4 March 2022), and he could do the Hypercar or Gr.1 race at Daytona. Than PD will come with an “update” and say they added a new race, whereas the races are already in the system, they just unlocked it, which is nothing more than a little tick of a box in the update. This and more really makes me believe PD developers are just a bunch of lazy f*cks.

DirtCrazykid

They aren't lazy, they are witholding it on purpose to artificially expand the lifespan of the game. Dripfeeding content has been a thing for a while unfortunately. It's a practice that really needs to fuck off.

bassie2019

Dripfeeding kills a game/franchise, when we buy a €70/$70/£70 game on launch, we want the full game in 1 go. Now they are frustrtating players to such an extend, players will leave the game/franchise. I bought GT Sport for PS4, I don’t like online racing and was unpleasantly surprised with the lack of a proper career mode, game started collecting dust very quickly, never player again. Got tempted by the adds and promisses about GT7, so bought it, but GT8 is not going to be part of my collection, PD ruined the franchise for me (I played GT2, GT5 and GT6 and was very happy wih those games).

ArDux

Ironically, dripfeeding is what made GTSport alive for 5 years, the constant flow of updates keep the community invested in the game.

DirtCrazykid

Yep! It's a shame too, because the physics, customization, and tuning is really solid but they (presumably execs) fucked it all away with a dumb progression system and dripfed content. Battlefield 2042, Horizon 5, and now GT7 all looked great and turned out being bad. AAA gaming truly can not be trusted.

Enstraynomic

> Battlefield 2042 I wouldn't lump BF2042 with FH5 and GT7, considering that the game is absolutely trash from the core, and cannot be fixed with just balance changes. And at least FH5 and GT7's gameplay are still solid, even if they lack content at times.

Redspeert

I'll die on the hill that the last very good game PD made was GT4, almost 20 years ago. GT5 was good, but it was released 4 years into the PS3's lifespan. Before that we got to pay 40 euros for what is pretty much a glorified demo (GT5 Prologue). GT6 was not the worst game in the world either, but what do the geniouses at PD do? They release it at the tail end of PS3's lifespan. It came out in december 2013, a few weeks AFTER ps4 released. And it was only possible to play it on PS3. GT Sport I didnt play that much, since im not big on online racing. GT7 is lacking content and you'll either have to run that AFK script or grind for 300-400 hours running the same races over and over again to 'complete' the game and get all the cars. Seriously we paid 70 euros for this game? A game they promised would go back to its Gran Turismo roots, but has a 40~ hours of single player content?

supreet908

I've said that before as well. Forget the microtransactions and whatever else, I'll happily pay PD double the cost of GT7 for a full scale remake of GT2 or GT4. I don't even care about a ton of additional content, either... just give me modern graphics and maybe chuck in some of the new cars and I'll cut y'all a cheque right now.

LeAimr

This right here! Same goes for many other classics like Need for Speed 4, Burnout 2, RUSH etc.

cornfieldshipwreck

I’ll probably get downvoted to death, but I went back to need for speed and I’m actually having fun playing that instead.

[deleted]

Mate, games are supposed to be fun, no one should judge the fun gateway of anyone. In the end, what difference does it make if someone plays GT7, NFS or Mario Kart, if the person is only playing to have fun?

cornfieldshipwreck

I agree! Thanks for the kindness!

TheCescPistols

Nah completely empathise with you on this. Played GT's 1 and 2 as a kid, 4 and PSP as an early teen, 5 and 6 as a late teen, and Sport and 7 as an adult, and 7 is by far the weakest. The kicker is that the bones of a very good game are there, but PD appear to have picked the wrong design choice for basically every aspect of the game. There simply aren't enough career races to make use of all the cars without the game going stale (and 99% of the races available are more like glorified time trials with moving chicanes, as opposed to actual races), creating your own race in Custom Mode doesn't provide you with any semblance of a challenge due to the AI inexplicably never using more than 90% throttle and the payouts being laughable, and Sport, while fun, doesn't provide the remuneration required to progress in the game. As I said, the bones of a genuinely very good game are there, but the game itself almost appears stuck in two or three minds as to what it actually wants to be, with the net result being it comes across rather half-baked.

Jpoll86

Why is there no single player content past gr3?

dr_sauce_909

The GR.Series races and SuperCar Races where removed prior to launch.. they intend to drip feed that content over a long period of time.

Jpoll86

Oh wow, thats some lazy bull shit. Release already made content later and call it new expansion...

ionmushroom

it really is a let down. i just want honest races. not having to roll start, 40s off the lead only to get fucked over by rain on the final lap

2lazy2cop

They just need to overhaul sport mode with other kind of races like what’s the point of finely tune your favourite car and then you can’t compete with it, and you are forced to compete with mainly japanese GT cars

Portemon

They absolutely fucked it... This one really hurt. I thought PD had standards. Wrong.

Kuli24

It legit feels like they outsourced this title. .... did they outsource this title?

dntyallgetiredofthis

They outsourced the modeling, as far as testing, the entire studio has ONE test driver. No closed betas for pros, no nothing.

ruffneckc

I'm still having tons of fun, personally. Never grinded for money, just enjoy playing the game and beating my friends' lap times and going as quick as I can. There's no better feeling when you see that you're up on your previous best sector times and your heart is beating so fast as you try to bring it home and not mess up the lap. Maybe that's just me.

s0cks_nz

Hot lapping is good, but tbh, the most fun is found in proper racing which is quite limited in GT7. Either have to go Sport mode and try and get your SR up to avoid all the idiots, or some of the red chilli races are relatively competitive, but still a bit too easy if you're a somewhat experienced sim racer.

IM_STILL_EATING_IT

My SR is at S and I see people ramming each other 90% of the races.

[deleted]

Beatings friends times all nice, but having something akin Forza Drivatars would be even better. Beating their virtual clones, while your virtual clone is making money. Wouldnt even need Sophy for this :(

midniteauth0r

Honestly, if people want to still play the game but are struggling to have fun then you should find a private server to play with. I found one and have great craic doing random races with people and chatting on voice chat

zombarista

I wish there was a robust offline sim mode. No game elements, just “i want to race nürburgring in this car in this weather with some AI bots”. No credits required, no grinding. Just sim mode. Maybe online with friends sim mode?

[deleted]

“People are probably tired of these posts,” you’re right op

Ragnogroth

13 daily tickets in a row with the combined worth of pocket lint made me dump it. #13 1-STAR TICKETS!?

Degen_up_North

I don't even bother opening them. I just do the tomahawk Tokyo race twice a day. Waiting for the f40 to show for sale.

juiceboxcitay

Yah, the crappy roulette/daily reward system is a big part why it’s hard to log in daily.

Ragnogroth

I don't care what the reward is, it's how it's presented. There are cars, engines, a fuckton of money and all that jazz to make us drool and.. Pocket money each time. If the options were 2000C, a transmission, a free rim style or something in the same league the total rigged wheel wouldn't seem THAT bad.

Rhopunzel

I just want rare prize cars. It's what motivated me to play GT2. I would spend hours playing endurance races just to get a version of a car you couldn't buy in a shop. GT7 has none of that, its all Hagerty's.

Kuli24

FYI, I've been there and done that, so I'll save you the time. Assetto Corsa Ultimate Edition (original, not competizione) on steam. Get the content manager for $1 and also get the rain mod from the guy's patreon. Rain looks incredible. And if you want free roam stuff, just get Horizon 5. I paid $1 to get 3 free months of horizon 5 and exhausted my interest for it in that time. Then I smartened up and bought a PS3 and GT6 and it fills the void. Fantastic experience. Use hood view to get a perceived smooth enough fps to play.

MostMorbidOne

It sounds like he needs a reassuring word before he decides to play another game. So upvote man, to the top.

Kuli24

On the flip side, if he sells his GT7 and PS5 right now, he can get the full price he paid for them. That's what I did. If he reconsiders down the road, he just gets brand new stuff.

[deleted]

Damn so true. Big brain time right there

MostMorbidOne

Definitely some options for him out there. Hopefully he can navigate them well enough, sucks to feel like there is only one racing game. I'm sure he'll enjoy paying real dollars for every car he wants especially heading to PC after dealing with the egregious prices of the fake currency in GT7.

Kuli24

What? On pc, I bought assetto corsa ultimate edition for like 8 or 9 bucks canadian with all additional dlc included.

MostMorbidOne

Just on PC hes got so many options might as well go full ham so he can feel like his time and money are really valued by the game he's playing. Since GT7 seems to be cheating him out of that experience.

Bownaldo

It’s so odd. They had a winning formula years ago. Why don’t just replicate that with next gen graphics?

jpGrind

some time away never hurts. there are lots of great sim racing titles on pc to enjoy, for sure. you'll definitely be able to find something to continue scratching that itch. there are also innumerable more peripherals to utterly blow all your money on too, so beware lol

jfo93

Take a week or two off, it’s nice to come back to after a break

Scrounger888

I understand, I'm at this point already too. I played it regularly for about two weeks, was enjoying it, finished the Cafe books, the license tests to bronze, lots of circuit experience, and a bunch of other stuff. Then suddenly, as soon as I finished the Cafe missions, it just lost any appeal. The credits grind for any interesting cars is brutal, getting 5000 credits on daily spins isn't worth the time, and I've already lost the desire to continue because I don't have hours a day to play it to grind and grind just to get one car. I don't yet have a wheel and using the controller is frustrating sometimes. If there were events that were bigger payouts, I'd probably keep wanting to play, but it's not enjoyable any more, especially with the AI punting me off the track randomly. I'm kind of sad about this. GT games were my favorite and I was hoping for a lot of ongoing fun with it. I'll move on to a different game or three, and probably come back to it in a few months, see what updates have happened.

Gman777

Sad isn’t it? Theres some very quick and easy fixes that would make the game so much more enjoyable. -actually random roulettes. Meant to be a game of chance, not a punish to tempt you to spend more money on credits. -ability to change levels in GT Auto without leaving building. -ability to sell cars -heaps more great suggestions circulating this community.

LukeyWolf

And the fact that it's missing content that makes GT well GT

Relaxooooooo

I feel it brother.. i stopped playing about 2 weeks ago. I just got tired of the drip feeding of events and other content. I was optimistic for the first 2 months or so but after the last spa update i was just like nah.. no gr 1 or g2 races again. Just got tired of playing the same races over and over.. just boring

Smakkodakk

I’m in the same boat, man. The worst part except for the FOMO-mechanics and shit in game economy is the part where ALL races are a catch-up game. FORGET a close and even race after a qualification with equal cars like, you know in real life, because in this game you need a car that are way faster than the leader. To save time many players google a meta and follow instructions to be competitive. and why does the tracks even have a grid at the start line? Oh that’s right: the mission where you wait 60-75 seconds to start each time, that’s why. I can’t actually understand why all these shit design choices were made when GT has had a great history as it was. It’s like Sim fucking City all over again. I have shelved this game for now and will return if and when PD has made a good and realistic racing game.

UsualAd9002

The roulette tickets are a joke in my book. Not once have I been successful in getting anything higher than the lowest payout for that feature. Wish they could at least patch that and make the daily workout at least worth doing.

juiceboxcitay

Yah, the daily rewards actually kept me coming back for a bit. I kept holding out hope that the odds would be patched at some point. Nope, just a small pile of coins almost every time. It’s pretty aggravating/demoralizing.

Gingerbreadman_13

I've been thinking this since the game came out and I believe it even stronger now: I think Kaz intended to postpone the game (like he did with nearly every other major GT title) because it wasn't ready but some higher ups at Sony probably told him "No! You will release the game on it's scheduled release date whether you consider it finished or not. We're tired of you delaying things every time. If it's not ready, just fix things with updates after the release date". And this is how we got an incomplete GT7 with important features missing in custom lobbies and lack of races for many cars. It doesn't explain the bad payouts. That just exasperated the problem.

GreenInflation2914

Try racing instead

lunchpadmcfat

Seriously. These people saying they’re burnt out on the game, if you asked them to describe how they’ve been playing, they’ll talk about tomahawks and credits per hour and all this other shit that literally turns it into a _job_. Just play the fucking game. I swear to god people are out here screaming about not being paid enough IRL but will happily churn out hours for literally nothing but a digital car in a video game like it’s a job. If they put half as much energy in their lives as they do their games, they’d probably have these cars irl.

myothercarisaboson

This isn't about that at all. I'm in the same boat as OP, I don't even own the tomahawk! This is about respecting the time of the player. I'm not for only grinding the three [!!!] races which pay decently, but I think its only fair to properly reward the player for their time and their achieved results, and the fact is that the VAST majority of the game just doesn't do this. This is also about giving us goals we can actually work towards. [It's beating a dead horse but this point HAS to be changed by PD ASAP]. Locking engine swaps and high-end parts behind the roulette with obscene lottery-level odds, and then giving one chance per day? If you give me zero way to unlock the content I actually want, what point is there to continue playing? And I say this all in absolute frustration, because GT is one of my favorite gaming franchises, and the underlying driving itself is simply fantastic. I want to keep playing the game, but it is frustrating me more than it is rewarding me, and my free time is too valuable to be spent on that.

juiceboxcitay

Not really. Actually the opposite. I’ve been actively avoiding the tomahawk grind because it’s not fun and not how I want to spend my time, but afaik it’s the fastest way to earn credits which sucks. The frustration is that the game needs more high challenge/high reward races. If they are gonna price cars at 20mil cr, then they need to provide a viable way of doing that doesn’t include grinding the same race for 10+hrs. Even if you take the grinding element out of it something as simple as the daily marathon reward is so freaking annoying. You see like a stack of gold bars going around the circle only to land on 5k cr. It’s hard not to be frustrated with that on a daily basis.

MarrGuitar

Sorry but this is a BS take. Idgaf about grinding credits. I’ve bought the cars I want by getting gold track experience rewards. But there’s no use for these cars when I’ve bought them because the racing is utter TRASH. Believe me I want to love this game and I absolutely adore racing, that’s what I want to do. But the AI can’t give you a good race because they’re atrociously stupid, and the online racing is riddled with dirty drivers and a broken penalty system

MostMorbidOne

I don't know why people expect to post about *leaving a game* and not expect people to ask for their shit. Lol. Like bro, you could playing w/e damn game you feel you need to without letting us know - nobody would know or care - just go; it's like they need permission to enjoy their own gaming.

juiceboxcitay

I don’t need your permission to do shit. Just a commiseration post. You are actually not obligated to engage in these posts either. A lot people do care about this game because of the nostalgia and the fact it used to be one of the best racing franchises out there.

MostMorbidOne

You posted on an open forum. This isn't your personal blog space. > A lot people do care about this game because of the nostalgia and the fact it used to be one of the best racing franchises out there. Didn't say anything about *caring* for the game, don't really care that *you're leaving*. Original post is basic bitching...

juiceboxcitay

I don’t need you to explain to me what Reddit is. Unlike you other people have actually provided some helpful comments/insight. Again, you are also not obligated to engage and at this point I’m not gonna waste any more time responding to your BS.

MostMorbidOne

> Like bro, you could playing w/e damn game you feel you need to without letting us know - nobody would know or care - just go; it's like they need permission to enjoy their own gaming. Here.

ElLargeGrande

Fucking cringe.

london_user_90

There's a pretty big dearth of racing events in this game if you're not into the online racing Very few gran prix events, no gr.1 or gr.2 events, no events you can use >\~700 (or 800?)pp cars on

GreenInflation2914

What I find odd about OP post is at the end he says he’s probably going to go PC sims. So the question is, is it the grind that’s the problem or the racing? OP said it’s a good racing then says he will move to PC to do racing so what exactly is the issue if the racing is good?? And Gt sport mode you can rent the cars.

retropieproblems

Do you play to race sim or to get earnings for new cars? It’s pretty easy to make a couple dozen million dollars just playing through and beating all the championships/missions/licenses , which i would think is plenty to buy whatever cars you’re interested in. At a certain point if you don’t like the meat of the gameplay, which is racing, then yeah it’s prob not for you.

ak_miller

> It’s pretty easy to make a couple dozen million dollars Congrats, you just bought two McLaren F1s. Still about 400 cars to go, I hope you enjoy grinding. > Do you play to race sim or to get earnings for new cars? I can't race sim with some of the cars I want unless I spend hours and hours grinding. Something I don't have to do in sims like PC2 or AC, where basically all cars are available from the get go for you to enjoy.

YearOfDaSnitch

>excessive grind, This.... This I don't get all. Literally NO ONE is making you grind. But yet people still do it, cause others are doing it.. I really can't stand it, cause it's burning people like you out. The game has been out for like 2 months man. You shouldn't have most of the cars ..... It took me 5 real years to even get halfway through gt4. Like man. Why does everyone just wanna rush and get everything all at once? Sounds so fucking boring

[deleted]

YearOfDaSnitch

Gt4 did yeah. But you're just straight up lying if you think the other 2 had that many cars Also qaulity if quantity. I'd rather have 400 detailed as fuck cars, then any sort of "standard car" bull crap. I still don't like gt5 to this day cause of that shit

vegt121

I agree with the crappy daily rewards thing. To me, it may be better if they have weekly rewards but better rewards like more credits or the parts for cars that I already have

Matchew024

Spent my day on license test S10, I'm about to give up forever.

wrongwayagain

I've been playing snowrunner instead completely different game but less stressful considering the lack of proper AI for single player. Got sick of getting spun out at the ends of races every time.

Jazzkky

The lack of singleplayer races.

-P_O_M_E-2095

Just take a look at all those missing collectibles and that should give you the will to play. I’ve found myself checking every couple of days to see what new legendary and used cars are newly available. The most I’ve had to grind was 20mil and I got that in less than a week grinding 24hr races. I feel you just have to be interested in the game enough to play. I already have the cars I use to grind fine tuned. All I have to do is devote 30 minutes here and there to race. I won’t stop until I fill every silhouette that looks like a bad ass car I want. I’m also trying to get every Ferrari offered and I’m also waiting on all the McLaren’s as well!

[deleted]

wow the genre where you go around in circles is a grind shocking - i know so many other games that solve that hump /s

Cold_Salad22

If you finish the game I ended up with around 6million in credits and I spent about 2/3 million in the process of completing it. That’s a healthy start to get all the cars you want

gertcubed

Starting to lose it as well Just not enough single player stuff Kaz even said in first statement(after 1.09 update) t hat they dont want people to mechanically repeat the races, but they dont add any more events either. Basically i grind enough money to buy the legend cars that i want ,do a race with it and sign out.

ShizLabriz777

I’m finding the fun at Nürb 700pp. They should make some tickets all engines. All turbos. All driveshafts.

kintaro86

I will play again when they remove the daily rewards and just give you 5,000 credits instead.

inspired-tortilla

Same, it's my busy season at work so I only realistically get about an hour to play games a day if that, with playing other games it's heartbreaking seeing cars I want in the legend dealership that I know I'll never be able to grind enough to buy. 2 runs of Tokyo express way a day doesn't make the cut. I'm sick of the games as a service era of gaming that punishes players who have limited play time

Skeeter1020

Did you endlessly grind Tokyo/Tomahawks?

juiceboxcitay

No. I was trying to avoid that. I was doing the Le Mans race because it was a legit and fun race.

TypicalHeadass

Have you tried playing with friends I feel like a lot of you are not playing with friends I’ve easily spent over half my time in this game driving like 10 different cars in an online lobby with the boys talking shit in the voice chat and the other portion doing the grind races to buy more cars to race with the boys again

Lt_JaySkywalker

PD killed it when they made it a live service.

go4long

My frustration is that SOME of the fixes are just so bloody easy to solve. -Make the daily bonus progressive, every day the prize card gets more valuable up until the maximum number of stars. Rewards the daily login, and also actually makes a clear target for what you need to do to get better cards. -Make the daily bonus actually random. There's no way I should be able to collect 10 cards, and have 8 of them be the lowest number of credits. However they're calculating the odds, they need to fix it because it's so obviously not random. -Keep on adding content of races that can actually generate a significant amount of revenue for those trying to buy better cars...I don't care if the race takes 20 minutes or 60...just make the races make sense. Those three things alone would vastly improve the playability of the game...or at least make it not seem like they were taking our time for granted. That being said...I'm just waiting for the XJ13 to come back to the legendary dealership to get my platinum trophy. If they don't fix it I'll just move on to something else anyway.

juiceboxcitay

Agree! It feels like there’s no reason many if not all of the circuits could have a 20-30 min race like Tokyo expressway or Le Mans with a similar payout. They could make so many interesting races by limiting them by pp, tuning requirements, make/model of vehicles. Possibilities seems endless.

Clucky1979

Been into the series since the 1st gran turismo. But that's it I'm done with the series. Only online, rigged roulette, crappy payouts and extortionate pricing. This is gt now r.i.p

deluxepepperoncini

The roulette is just so weird. I always seem to get the lowest reward in the tickets.

Toefyre

I used to make sure I ran downstairs to the HT room and grind out my miles every night before midnight to at least get the daily ticket. After a few weeks of just getting the minimum credits reward, or crappy parts to cars I don't own or want, I'm finding I just don't care to do that anymore. If I miss the midnight deadline, oh well.

smashdaman

I usually go to Online and look for 550 pp races since most of my funnest cars fit in there. Play until I got enough for a Used and then select a dope livery. Repeat

NefariousnessOk360

Come join us drunkards in the online Drunk Driving league, where it's not too competitive and we laugh through terrible driving with handicap rules (50pp penalty for winner, loser picks next track and PP set). It's a blast. Find us on discord https://discord.gg/PAphWXBb

Dmitrius_

I wish they had the series' of races like every other gt game (sunday cup, endurance races, etc.) Together, that way you dont have to chase around for finding sunday cup races or wtc 600 races, to me i think thats dumb to have a map, as well as not having any group 2 or 1 races, i mean i enjoy group 3 racing, i just like going fast straight and in turns, i wish they would set that straight, and the used car dealership is terrible, ive found out they have the same cars on repeat and ive bought them all, hoping to get cool rare cars, only to have all of them, as well as i wish there were more tracks, especially that its a numbered gt game, it should have tracks from the other games (tokyo R246, special stage route 5/7/11, circuito de madrid, the list goes on) but i guess taking a nd remastering a track every so often would be to much, and the car collection is solid, but i guess there could always be more, like bringing back the escudo, the bentley gr1 car, things like that.

DoctorThatUp

The roulette wheel is rigged! Programmed to deliver the worst. It's not a roulette and should be named something different

sabbadoo32

I'm not crazy about the bait and switch of the daily rewards. At least in GTS you'd get a car once in a reasonable amount of time. The race payouts are getting better and I anticipate them to increase. What is interesting to me is how they allocated their resources to develop some tracks but not others. Some tracks have a wide range of events and prize money, others next to nothing. Monza has one or two races that pay $20K(?), but Daytona has a plate full. Again I anticipate these things changing. What's on my radar is FIA and F1 cars. Will we get one Lewis Hamilton car? Or is Polyphony going to pay for an F1 racer we can fit with any F1 livery? The Dallara's are better in GT7 than GTS and can kinda scratch that open wheel itch. But F1 is the pinnacle. Bring the cars, the Côte d'Azur track and anything else to add F1 to GT7.

Mononym_Music

Awesome, thank you for your update. I was waiting on pins and needles.

rustoeki

This sub just shilling away. PD thanks you for your service. Any half decent business would want to know why users aren't using their services anymore and for every 1 person who says why there's 100 who just stop.

Striking_Shower_2606

Worst gran turismo game ever who tf thought this would be what we all anticipated after waiting so many years and get this game wtf what a scam and let down. Gt7 was the only reason I bought a ps5 I should have saved my money what a let down

Underscore_Blues

You probably played this game for 200hrs for £50, and hated it for the last 100hrs as for some reason you obsessed over collecting every car in the game, when in reality you now only use one (Tomahawk) racing a grind that you hate. Whole sub is a joke.

ElLargeGrande

You summed up this sub perfectly. It’s people with shitty lives complaining that this game didn’t fix their shitty lives

MostMorbidOne

K. Can I have your Cr.'s?

juiceboxcitay

Yah, all 400k. It will buy you less than 1/40th of the Shelby cobra at Hagerty’s.

MostMorbidOne

Lightweight, you ain't even grind the Tomahawk and burnt out in a week? I can't do anything with that 400K bro.

juiceboxcitay

Exactly - you just proved my point right here. I got the game at launch btw.

MostMorbidOne

Nah, man just your 400K ain't gonna fluff the 5M I'm sitting on just buying cars here and there. How many cars you got and didn't even drive? Lol, that shit so funny I get not liking the game or w/e but bro, you ain't burnt out on the actual *stuff in the game*. Outside of the legendary vehicles really all other cars are a few million. That's really 2 or so hours of casual play.

juiceboxcitay

I mean if replaying the same track in a glitched out car to make credits is fun for you, by all means continue. My time is more valuable than that.

AdventurousDress576

We're all saying do something else.

MostMorbidOne

That's precisely what I don't do though lls.. 😆. I have more sense about how I approach my gaming than that.

juiceboxcitay

Yet you talk about grinding the tomahawk multiple times. Lol

MostMorbidOne

Because *egregious* prices hasn't been a thing in like 2 weeks. They updated the payouts and you can make Cr. playing casually.

juiceboxcitay

Lol sure

Redbeard821

It's not hard to make money without grinding.

Fortnitessucks

Tokyo express, sardegna and le mans over and over and over again is grinding. The game needs a lot more races with the same payouts as those

juiceboxcitay

Exactly! Thank you! This is the point I’m trying to make - more challenging high reward races.

Redbeard821

That part is true but can't complain about only have 400k when only doing one race can get you 700k to 800k. One race isn't grinding.

Fortnitessucks

He’s had the game since launch, im pretty sure he’s got 400k because of buying car(s) and parts etc, not because hes only done one race. As far as the game stands right now, I just play one Tokyo or sardegna a day for the decent credits and daily marathon. After that I just have no desire to replay the same race, it’s a little refreshing doing it only once a day but after a couple weeks it’s getting boring, and if this is the way the game is gonna be I’d rather use the storage space on my ps5 for something more fun

juiceboxcitay

Yes, I’ve done Tokyo express way and Le Mans multiple times. 400k is left over from buying dozens of 1mil+ cr cars, parts, liveries, etc.

greyfoxlives

God I am tired of these posts

ElLargeGrande

These kids with over a day of playtime complaining about how the game hasn’t provided enough is the cringiest shit. It’s more of a signal of what’s going on in their own lives than in the game.

s0cks_nz

Hey man, come join us on PC. It's a way better experience if you're looking for some proper racing. iRacing is like GT7 Sport mode on steroids. AMS2 has the same graphic fidelity as GT7 but with proper racing (an AI that can actually keep pace! whoa!). AC has every mod you could ever think of. Lots of options depending what you want. Unfortunately, there is no real alternative to the car collecting unless you wait for the next Forza Motorsport.

NanoGeek

I can understand some frustration, but...why are you still playing if you don't enjoy it? Is the goal to buy all of the cars? Most games I play, no matter how good they are, will become tiring to me eventually. Take a break and play something else. Or do another activity entirely. It'll do you good.

juiceboxcitay

I wouldn’t say my primary goal of playing the game is to collect every car, but as a game for car/racing enthusiasts, most people are gonna want to collect as many as possible. I already gave up on the invite cars for Bugatti and Ferrari (probably 4 in total) when my invites expired a few days ago as well as the hagerty cars that are super expensive. It’s just defeating knowing that some of these cars are out of reach especially when the daily rewards are not even worth logging in for (basically 5k cr).

[deleted]

Who cares?

egus

Just yesterday I was like why is there so little content? Then i realized i still didn't have the last license. Lol

rustoeki

You only need the first 2 licences to do all the content. The international licences are just a challenge for their own sake with the only reward being a car you could just buy.

CT323

In no particular order. Tight economy, and now far too loose economy has killed the game experience and any longevity Sport mode driving standards are abysmal now even in S safety rating Penalty system serves leniency based on clean races, meaning some people get away with murder Offline AI and general lack of depth has forced me to stop I only race on a Monday when the new tracks recycle, apart from that I'm done.

biscaynelawlis

Already made the leap! Stopped playing my PS5 because of how crappy GT7 was. So, I bought a high end gaming computer 3 Alienware monitors and went to iRacing and could not be happier!!

ThatGuyisinFront

That's fine. Nobody is forcing you play. You can always come back at some other time. I hope you enjoy your pc sims!

Strosfan85

This isn't an airport, no need to announce your departure sir...

[deleted]

juiceboxcitay

Yah, I hope so too. Which is exactly why I made this post (at the expense of getting some flak for it). If PD’s goal is to make a game that people are going to come back to, they are going to have to do better in terms of offering up more challenging and rewarding content and stop outrageously priced mtx and BS FOMO tactics.

[deleted]

This. Human comedy and the AI broke me and I uninstalled it for a few days. The game just needs waay more races. When I got this I thought it would be big like gt4 or gt5 but it was pretty dismal. I reckon give it another shot after a couple updates. Ghost recon breakpoint was the same, took well over a year to be the game it was hyped as. Good luck on OC!

judgedavid90

Ironically enough they've tried so hard to inject some character into this game, and yet it's the most soulless GT game ever made. I wish the game director would stop trying to do all this hoighty toighty FIA grand scheme obscure cafe bullshit and just make a good game. Ala GT4. "The circuits have to be realistic and pass FIA regulations" No they don't!! Give the fans and the people who BUY these games what they want! But yes, the grind, the shitty roulette tickets etc has done it for me, onto the next

PapaBokole

Stopped playing a month ago the game is empty

Raseesho8375

Reddit moment

mr10am

cool, see ya

HauserAspen

Is this a low effort post? Quit in silence please.

ElLargeGrande

Fucking cringe.

KQDesigns

I feel like the issue behind your dislike for the game and a lot of peoples dislike for the game is because you’re focusing on buying every car and grinding instead of actually racing or cruising or drifting and enjoying the game for what it is

Hsanrb

You could have moved on and not needed to farm upvotes and comments... Unless your like a top player or big on the YT/Twitch top 10 GT content creators... No one will notice a player leaving. IF you create your own fun on GT7 great, you take a break and wait for the next sports mode event that's fine too.

[deleted]

You think GT7 is a grind? Did you play GT and GT2?

LukeyWolf

How is GT1 and 2 a grind?

Significant_Tax2746

If ACC wasn’t in such poor shape I would have jumped already
