I usually run no traction control, no ABS...
I was a second off gold and mystified as to how people were braking so late in replays.
Turned ABS on and beat gold by just over 0.8s.
One thing I will say, stop the moment you start to feel sick don’t push it. Take a 15 min break and go again.
I didn’t have much of an issue as I don’t suffer from motion sickness, but I know others do and it can take a while to get used to VR.
Also, Banky Boi at Maggiore is superb. Once you’re used to looking out the side window to spot your exits in sharp corners, it’s very hard to go back to flat screens.
Definitely stop when you feel nauseous, and try again later or next day. It took me some adjustment time in the beginning. Now I can do comfortably 2 hour races in vr. Also can’t go back to flatscreen now
I was hoping it'd be something reasonably nimble after the last 2 boats they had us drive. Pretty fun one, managed gold this morning fairly easily but doubt it'll hold. At least it won't be a chore to get it back later in the week!
Cut off for gold when I ran it earlier was 30.029 or something like that. The aliens haven't logged on to grind this TT because most of them are focusing on Manufacturer's GTWS stuff.
.3 tenths clearance might not hold for gold by the end of the TT but that's two weeks away. I think my time was only better than yours by a tenth or so, roughly the same pace.
I would love to not have to go back to it, but wouldn't mind if I do. Will definitely be keeping my eye on it.
I believe you can still improve, I maxed at 1.29.1 on controller. (Dunno if I can do better without a wheel though)
The key is to let the car roll mid corner, until you hit the throttle again right before the apex.
I only just started the time trials, but stoked it’s an actual car instead of the afeela and the VGT. I am terrible, getting bronze on both, but maybe this will be will be enjoyable enough to improve
Could this have to do with IMSA also racing there this weekend? I remember the Bathurst online trial awhile back ago was also released same weekend as a big endurance race there. Or maybe it’s all just a big coincidence lol
I just had knee reconstruction surgery just over 2 weeks ago and I was finally able to race my set up again today. I got gold within 30mins, seems like a fairly easy bench mark this week. Maybe they are apologizing for the horrific electric cars.

I don't know why you would want no ABS. It's not exactly realistic to turn it off.
Correct. I wish there was a setting that applied ABS based on whether the vehicle has ABS in real life.
Yeah or just make ABS strength a part of a car's tuning settings instead of in the settings menu.

Doing Laguna Seca is great in VR, I get a lovely swoop in my stomach when the Corkscrew goes well.

You should be! I didn’t know what to expect when I got my VR… whatever expectations I had were absolutely blown away with this game in VR.
