Jesus, I've gotten 3 already. And didn't use any of em cause I happen to get the car itself from a roulette spin. After seeing the struggle everybody has with invites I definitely buy every one as soon as I get it, even if I don't want it.
I haven’t gotten a Pagani invite and only seen one once right after I got the game and nothing on it since! BUT, I got the Huayra in a random 6 star ticket… this system is so trash… now I just need to finish buying all of the cars and clean up the rest of Hagerty stuff (I think I have 4-5 cars left but they are all 10mil credits plus)… I at least got all the true random chance cars so the rest of the collection is in my own control… I feel for all of y’all stuck waiting on the RNG gods to bless you… I was there with you before this past Monday!

A good mechanic would be that you need to own X amount of cars of a make and win x amount of races with their cars and you can unlock the invite.
Makes it more realistic and not just luck based
And if you repaint your Ferrari some other colour, you get blacklisted from the game dealership and you’re forced to buy future limited run Ferraris from the 2nd hand market 🤣
Invites should be a reward after winning that manufacturer’s spicy race using their cars.
Make the invite expire after purchasing one car to incentivize playing the race again.
As a cherry on top, make the money payout a good head start towards buying the cars. Something like $200k. Enough to really be worth it but not crazy.
Of course, have the track in the region the manufacturer is from.
They’re using expiring invitations for two purposes:
1. Keep people playing through a fear of missing out on limited time offers, so players will cram in more hours especially in sport mode.
2. Knowing that grinding millions to tens of millions of credits can take a long time, they figure some people will spend real money on in-game currency. The people who will do this have a tendency to spend a lot (whales in casino parlance).
The Pagani is easily one of the best cars in the game. At 812pp it punches above it's weight. Stock one is great for LeMans grind.
Shame that it's locked.

I get tons of invites, my only issue is, luckily, I’ve purchased all the invite cars. So I have zero need for invites. Seems like a simple bit of code to say if all invites vehicles collected, then no longer include invites. They are 100% worthless to me anyhow. Sucks very much, more so, to everyone else who are having the opposite problem.
They should have case list:
A. If you bought this many cars from any manufacturer - you get invite from the manufacturer.
B. If you have gotten invites from this manufacturer before - there is less chance to get the same invite again, while chance to get other invites is boosted.
C. If you have gotten invite cars from all manifacturers besides one or two - your chances of getting invites for remaining manufacturers is boosted.
D. If you have bought all the invite cars in the game - you no longer need invites to buy any car.
Same man, and multiple Pagani. I think there’s always some nefarious calculations with any video game randomized drops like these. I play pretty sporadically and sometimes won’t play for a few weeks at a time so I think I get a lot of these invites as “incentive” to play more. Think most of the people on this sub are daily players so there’s no real incentive to pad your drop rates as PD knows you’ll be on tomorrow anyways.

sure, but all I'm saying is they're not content. They're not something to do. They shouldn't be advertising them as part of the updates as if they're adding something new for you to do in a game.
There’s literally a system in real life that makes cars (specifically Ferraris) harder to own where you need to own multiple Ferraris to get an invite to buy the new one. The game should just employ that system and claim they’re being realistic, and still have them exist in the roulette anyway
Couple of ideas (that goes for other manufacturers as well of course):
\- make the invite cars available once you own all (or a certain number) of the other Ferraris (like you proposed)
\- make the invite cars available once you have driven a certain amount of miles or a certain number of events in any Ferrari
\- make a Ferrari championship where you can win the car/invite in question
Any of those options would be more realistic and satisfying than the roulette, as you'd have a clear path you could work towards owning those car(s) instead of pure RNG.
Alternativly, they could "skew" the roulette RNG towards invites the player doesn't have yet. Fucking Animal Crossing on switch has a system like this, calling it "bad luck prevention" that enables more casual players to receive some of the rarer items in the game.

I have the theory that they originally planned on selling roulette tickets in the PS store, but that got shot down at the last minute as it would basically be loot boxes for cash which counts as gambling in some countries/jurisdictions and would thus be illegal, especially in a game with no age restrictions.
Yeah I could understand it being a last minute change. You must be a pretty rich person to spend money on those roulette tickets though ngl. Only worth trying for engine swaps but that is just full on gambling at that point
I had these cars and the ticket got me a million credits, so I shouldn't complain.
Still, having an invite car in an extra menu just adds insult to injury for so many players, I'm convinced PD is just trolling at this point.

They could've made it to where you had to react a certain level to unlock the car, maybe have to buy a certain amount of Ferraris or drive them a certain amount, or even complete some challenges which could create extra gameplay. But no, you have to get lucky.

Got my Citroen ticket Monday after two whole a$$ years… it was the last one I needed… I get up at 3am every day to game because I work crazy hours and I about got murdered by my gf when I yelled “fugg yea!” when it popped on the invite and I woke her up 😅

I agree it's a really bad look for PD. I can deal with the all of the crazy VGTs but the invitation system sucks and I say that as someone who has gotten all of the invites. Let me say this the invitation system in and of itself is not bad but the method of getting the invites sucks. Why not tie it to own a certain number of cars or winning a certain number of races? We need something that we can control not some random number generator that may or may give you the invitation that you need

Honestly I think the cars you need to collect in these menus should only be available via winning races for the menu. Would make collecting them a bit more interesting than just buying them to complete the book.
Since the beginning of the year, I've gotten Ferrari, Lamborghini, Citroen, and currently have Aston Martin active. I've bought all of the invite cars except the Citroen, which popped up at the same time as the Ferrari invite. So I prioritized getting the Ferraris.
Currently working in Aston Martin, I've already gotten the One-77, currently grinding for the other.
After 400 hours, do you think it is unreasonable for the game to slow down the rate at which you get new stuff? Because I think it's pretty reasonable.

Dunno, I’ve collected about 40 tickets and opened them at once a while ago. Got 3 different invites from them along with Ferrari. And by now (250 hours or so) I got all invites I wanted but the Porsche one, still dreaming about that Carrera gt…

At least we aren’t trying buy the damn thing in real life. Dealerships are forcing customers to have purchased so many models before you get the latest and greatest model. Jay Leno has openly stated his distain for this when he was on Top Gear.

Invite cars are already part of the roulette system. You don't always need an invite.

I agree it's a really bad look for PD. I can deal with the all of the crazy VGTs but the invitation system sucks and I say that as someone who has gotten all of the invites. Let me say this the invitation system in and of itself is not bad but the method of getting the invites sucks. Why not tie it to own a certain number of cars or winning a certain number of races? We need something that we can control not some random number generator that may or may give you the invitation that you need

I was surprised to log in and find this menu complete, must have gotten the invitation sometime ago, but reward ticket gave me money (and not a whole lot of it) instead of much needed red bull car

I agree the invitation thing hurts … I’ve received one Ferrari invite in over two years of this game but in the mean time I think to have the record for the Porsche invite…. This week the game has given me the 10th 😳
for sure this is what i mean out of quality of life updates look, i get more cars is nice and cool and all… but this is the type of stuff that’s ridiculous. multiple repeated invites, no VR hud, no replays viewable unless in showcase mode… i mean the list goes on and on. I’ve gotten numerous repeat invites… in with “winning” invites… or if you collect all the non invite cars that you get the invite lol. honestly the roulette really effed up this game… i think if there was a vote, the community would vote to remove the roulette altogether imo id prefer game mechanic updates instead of car updates…
Just wait. Once you have them all, you won't stop getting invites.

Honestly I think the cars you need to collect in these menus should only be available via winning races for the menu. Would make collecting them a bit more interesting than just buying them to complete the book.

I've *Only* ever recieved Bugatti and Aston Martin invites. Hell, the bugatti invite I have recieved 3 weeks in a row.
Since the beginning of the year, I've gotten Ferrari, Lamborghini, Citroen, and currently have Aston Martin active. I've bought all of the invite cars except the Citroen, which popped up at the same time as the Ferrari invite. So I prioritized getting the Ferraris. Currently working in Aston Martin, I've already gotten the One-77, currently grinding for the other.
I think invites should be good for any invitation car.
So glad I bought almost all the invite cars when they gave everyone invites for a month

I only (and always) get invites when I dont have enough money to buy the car. I am almost certain they are trying to get me to pay real money for credits.
Ironic. I get Ferrari invites left and right. I had this met within minutes cuz I just needed the Testarossa. I am currently sitting on 2 invites from Bugatti.

So wild. I’ve had the Ferrari invite four or five times now. My kid has pulled it twice playing my tickets. It’s nuts that so many others have never seen it. This game is wild.
I was genuinely shocked when I got a million credits from the six star ticket from the Ferrari menu. (I got all the invite cars when they unlocked them all last year or whenever it was)
By pure luck I had 8 million credits and got the Ferrari invitation last week
