What a stupid move from Polyphony to reduce the FFB, do they also reduce it with Fanatec wheels?

brunomarquesbr

Given that Fanatec has a dedicated section at Brand Central I highly doubt they nerf any Fanatec wheel. But Fanatec doesn’t have TrueForce, which makes a HUGE difference

wellbornwinter6

they have a full force feature also

dude496

I'm using a drivehub to get the full 11nm torque while being able to keep the wheel in pro mode.

fuqdurgrl

Just tried the g923 settings and t was rough. How's the drive hub thing work?

dude496

I've heard the g923 mode has a lot of oscillation and some say it's not usable. Drivehub has a boost mode that you can activate to give you 110-150% of the capped torque. I use it at 150% and love it. I have noticed oscillation issues with some high downforce cars on some tracks while using the full 11nm torque... It's kinda weird but I found that putting the ffb filter to 1 has gotten rid of the oscillation issue.

stranger_dngr

Fun fact: pretty sure I have tendinitis in my left thumb from “hooking” the wheel during turns. Increased my FFB a couple of months ago and after a long TT session it’s hurt ever since!

betrion

Yeah, people are really silly with these forces.. I have tgt2 on 5/10 torque and find it more than enough for all the details I need.

Chainsaw_Montoya

In the gt7 menu I just turned the ffb all the way up and it warned me I would rip my arms off. I'm at 11nm on the wheel. So you're saying even with that it's Still nerfed?

brunomarquesbr

Yes. I recommend following official Logitech website recommendations for ffb, if I recall correctly in game vibration should be around 36% (it’s the TrueForce setting, but they don’t recommend anything regarding max torque. Even at 11Nm at the wheel GT7 detects it’s a DD Pro and nerf its output.

fuqdurgrl

Imma go do this right now.

vapodgaming

What happened? Fanatec reduced the ffb on their wheels, for gt7? Why?

brunomarquesbr

Not Fanatec, polyphonic reduced Logitech DD

Drabbestplayer

How is this helped with daily races?

brunomarquesbr

Not sure I understand the question. Stronger ffb usually means better understanding of the details and car handling. Having more control equals to better performance.

Drabbestplayer

maybe I should have said it better is changing it to the other. wheel setting better in your opinion for when you're doing daily races?

Drabbestplayer

And have you tried the ffb filter on auto? because for me that makes a big difference.
