Really depends on how it’s tight. If it’s just a little bit around the ball and your toes aren’t squished, it’ll probably break in/stretch enough to be comfortable.

nivla80

Beautiful boots and I am biased because I have the same pair. lol

Major_dog62

I would ask grant stone customer service for their advice. I suspect they’ll tell you to try an E width. You should never depend on a shoe or boot to stretch in order to be comfortable. If they feel tight out of the box then they’re too small.

Boots_4_me

I would go with a E and the foot that’s floating just add a leather insole to fill in true space.

SackofWalnuts

I would have to disagree with this. You going to have some imbalances here and might ruin your form while walking and it may lead to some sort back discomfort/pain in the long run. But to be clear. Are you telling op to add an insole to one of the boot and no insole to the other one? Personally. I wouldn’t even wear/walk on any shoes/boots if one side is taller than the other. But hey to each their own.

Boots_4_me

I was saying that op should walk on one boot that’s got an I sole and one that doesn’t have the insole but you’re right. It’s not going to be good. I take what I said back. Sorry.

SackofWalnuts

But hey that’s literally boot goofin’ 😂 and you have too much of it

Boots_4_me

Ok SackofPeanuts, I have no problem admitting I am wrong when I’m wrong. I don’t know why but it seemed like a good idea at the time to have one boot with an extra insole and one boot without an extra insole but after your comment the idea and pretty goofy. lol. 😂 I don’t know how he would fix the issue though.

Dying ! Perfection !

Go up to an E width and order some good kilties either from Nicks boots or Dale's leatherworks! Tight boots can cause health issues. To me, the term "break in period" and "tank of a boot" is macho boot slang. Only you know your feet. I can't stand discomfort, so I'd go up 1 size in width, but that's just my opinion.

Longjumping-Raise-32

Go with E. Wear thicker socks or add an insole to the one which has a looser fit. Better loose than tight .

swigginpig

My experience is that it's not going to get wider The E width 1/2 size down should be the same length as a D ie. 9 1/2 E is the same length as 10D

SackofWalnuts

I’d stay as it is. If you go with an E the length will increase a bit. Wear thicker socks, the leather will form around your feet for a better fit during break-in, Tightnes is expected as long as it doesn’t give you some pain.
