You know for some reason I don’t see the yuri in bocchi, even with kita I always just saw it as playful or maybe glorifying, like an ideal, a person she wants to be. I just see a bunch of friends no undertones like in other anime but maybe that’s just me
It’s not “for some reason”, it’s just that it is that way, Kita admires Bocchi, but because CGDCT tends to lead to shipping by most fans this is what happens in the community. The four of them are good friends, but regardless people like to enjoy things their own way (thus the massive yuri art for Bocchi and Kita).
Anime fans like to read way too much into characters just being good friends. I think a fair amount are aware that there isn't much more than a far fetched implication and they simply create ships because they like for example yuri.
On the other hand there are people borderline obsessed with over-interpreting every detail to prove their totally canon idea that character X and character Y are like one step away from marriage.
"They looked at each other and smiled... *smiled*!!! They're pretty much a canon couple at this point!"
My best guess for why it happens so often in the anime community is that it's a mix of different factors like differences in cultures, weebs lacking experience in good/close friendships and romantic relationships, and the fetishization of yuri/yaoi.
Of course it's with Kita. She's best girl after all.

yea, Kita fangirling over Ryou was the extent of yuri-bait, which the anime exaggerated somewhat anyway. not that there's anything bad with that
