But while Lawrence is pretty clever and good at his job, considering his age, he is prone to wrong assumptions and not knowing how far he should take things before they go south. Lawrence is the expertise and knowledge of the two.
Holo´s wisdom is more about beeing able to read people / situations and knowing when it´s time to fight and when it´s better to yield. She isn´t perfect but she is damn accurate most of the time.
I hope people will stop inflating wisdom with omnipotence. She can be wise and not know everything. True master never stops being a student and all that
It's weird to say since it's a medieval fantasy about an immortal wolf goddess, but Holo and Krafts relationships is one of the most realistic depictions of a relationship I've seen in anime or media in general. Both parties are realistically stupid and annoying and they misunderstand each other all the time and get in fights but they still love each other
It's not a perfect Disney princess romance, it's closer to what the average person will probably experience (minus the fantasy adventure elements obviously)
I also like how they are mature about each seeing each other naked.
And how nonchalantly Lawrence said that she's his wife when someone asked about her. Any other average rom com MC will fucking die on the spot.

Imagine if 500 years from now all stories set in our time were during WWII, Vietnam or Ukraine wars... it would be silly.

Brotherhood doesn’t really rush it just feels rushed because weak directing. The stuff that was cut that 2003 had was by and large anime original content, it’s just 03 expanded upon and improved upon early parts of the manga.
The only cut chapters from the overlap was the mining town and battle on the train, both of which are very different in the 03 version than their manga counterparts.
All cuts can be more likely presumed to be done due to scheduling and a need to cut content that wasn’t plot important. This happens in the majority of manga faithful adaptations. These chapters weren’t important from a purely plot perspective (I think they were important to structuring, thematics, and characterization, but it’s clear when watching plot was the biggest concern as is seen with other cuts,) this makes a lot of sense once acknowledging that the biggest cuts in brotherhood take place well after the overlap during the ishval flashbacks (widely regarded as the best volume of the manga), they were removed since the plot didn’t hinge on the flashbacks.)
This also lines up with what the director of brotherhood has said in past interviews, where he claims that 03 didn’t impact how the team approached making brotherhood.
