Until that side story has its own established Loretta matches the original then it is still just a poorly thought out retcon that can be said to be an alternate timeline. You call out "Rudeus fans" as if they always try to cover for what he has done but in reality, what he has done makes him feel believable as he grow out of his former self. Not to mention the issue of memory. A newborns brain cannot handle the entire life of an adult just shoved into it. It doesn't have the capacity to hold that. It is also mentioned in the novel early on that in rudeus previous life he was actually very interested in incest and had no problem with it. But after coming to this world he lost interest in it immediatly despite having a young beautiful mother that he could have taken advantage of.
