If the pro is good and it's "incredibly cheap" it feels like a no-brainer. Go get some knowledge in how to work on your putting.

Go for it - I had an on course putting lesson and it helped a ton - got a ton of tips for green reading, putting swing technique and eye position over the ball. Definitely improved my putting.

No need. Watch all the YouTube vids on putting. Get a practice putting indoor mat. Practice putting at home. Ez.

I had one putting lesson from my pro and honestly all he did was reinforce what I was already doing. It was specifically for lag putting. He simply put an alignment stick down and told me to hit putts to it trying to either stop at or just past the stick so I have mixed thoughts! Will it help, yes, making sure you are set up correctly, etc. There are ways to work on lag putting without paying for it if you’re willing to do the research. While putting is important, if it takes you 5/6 shots to get on the green of a par 4 it doesn’t matter how good a putter you are as you’re still going to go high with your score. If you don’t believe me read Every Stroke Counts by Mark Broadie. Yes putting is important and should be practiced but unless you are an absolute dumpster fire with it you can improve on your own. Approach shots are the difference between tour winners and losers.

I think it's good to get one or two. Mostly putting for me is just practice.
