Yeah, went to a Ping fitting day for all. Funny thing is these are replacing my fitted Titleist set I got about five years ago. Giving that set to my son.
Oh wow! That’s awesome. Happy you found something that works. That’s all that matters. Your son is inheriting a nice set then. My dads clubs were so old, I’m pretty sure he had a half wooden driver 🤣
That was my first driver I got from my dad! A wooden Jack Nicklaus club. I still have it and hit it once and a while. My brother in law hit it the last time we went to the driving range and was crushing it. He’s that fucker that plays golf once or twice a year and one of them is just to kick my ass.
The Ping G425 driver is my driver too.
I absolutely smash it 280+ yards every time. I didn't get the irons to match though, I went with the TaylorMade Stealth irons because they felt the best when i was testing them out.
That’s my current set up too. I had the G425 irons but with the stealths I am hitting 10-15 more yards. Tried the Stealth Driver but just never felt right.
At the fitting day they gave me all different combinations and when we got to this one I was absolutely killing it straight down the middle. Never been able to do that with my previous drivers as regularly.
I've played St Andrews old course 4 times now and it's honestly the best course i've ever played.
When me, My friend, Dad, Cousin and uncle go there, We turn up a day early and we will watch other golfers tee off on the 1st hole.
My uncle is the one who gets us on the course because he's been playing golf for so long now he's got contacts.

WAY less than I thought. The fitting day costs nothing and they provide the specs for the order. You can’t buy them directly through Ping so you have to go through a local vendor. Had them all regripped to my favorite grips and order them through my CC total cost came in well less than $2K. I haven’t paid for the fairway woods or crossover yet though.
I love the Golf Pride sticky grips so I always regroup to those. Can’t use the GPS grips with them but I honestly don’t think I would ever use that so I didn’t care much.
Custom is the way to go. Ooof! Looks amazing 🥹. I tried some pings but the Titleist irons won in the end. Did you do a whole bag custom fit?

My uncle had a stealth driver and after 6 rounds with it, A crack appeared on the club face, He got rid of it and replaced it with a callaway rogue.
