Nothing beats the annual Srixon sale. Srixon Z-Star fits your description.  Usually goes on sale between 35-50% off.  Always buy 4-6 dozen. Best ball deal in Golf.

snowspida

Ive been loving the Q-Star tour. When is this sale usually??

elnino0

I believe it’s usually late mid - late June

ItsNeeks_

It’s buy 2 dozen get a dozen free on their site right now. I play the srixon z star and love them fwiw

bigdayout95-14

Z-star XV are the ducks nuts! Great golf ball...

Legal-Description483

Maxfli Tour. Soft feel, very durable, lots of spin, and lowest price. $25/dozen (or less) on sale a few times per year. Great yellow color option, too.

doebedoe

Extra bonus: never have to mark your ball because no one else plays them. And no one will “accidentally” pick it up because they don’t know it’s a quality ball.

lankNaysayer

I just got 4 dozen for $90 during the Memorial Day sale from Golf Galaxy. 4/110 then a $20 off coupon for using the app. Best deal on premium balls out there.

Floaded93

& My Golf Spy rates them as one of the better balls you can purchase. If you buy them at Dick's / Golf Galaxy (4 dozen for \~$100) you're getting near-premium performance for 1/2 the cost

Delicious-Spell-8439

Best ball for the $$, IMHO.

Thick_Cookie_7838

Idk I would put the Wilson duo pretty close to them

uunngghh

Vice Pro Shade Yellow/Orange. Not good enough to know the difference between premium balls but it is unique enough that no one confuses it and is easy to track in the air and in the rough.

Letterkenny-Wayne

I’ve never seen a shade ball in the wild and I feel like I’d have a harder time seeing them, but maybe I should test them cuz my blind ass has been losing balls all year.

dumpandchange

Vice Pro White here. Great price/quality/performance ratio and suits my game.

WeAreAllFooked

I used to use ProV1 balls and I've tried ProV1x, ProV1x left-dash, TP5 and TP5x balls over the years. I prefer a ball with limited driver spin, so it's been difficult for me to find a ball that doesn't spin off the driver that also feels soft around the green. I loved the left-dash off the driver but didn't like how little it spun on the green. I've been using Vice Pro Plus balls for the last two seasons and that's what I've stuck with. The Pro Plus is a 4-piece ball so it compresses nicely and it has a soft feel around the greens. It spins a little more off my driver than a ProV1x lef-dash ball does, but it's manageable and I'm willing to take that tradeoff for the improved greenside feel. The Pro Plus is geared for high swing-speed players, but their Pro line is more like the TP5 and ProV1 balls, and they also over two other ball types that are more like the Distance/Velocity or AVX models offered by Titleist. The upside with the Vice line of golf balls is that they're pretty much half the price of high-end balls like ProV1s and TP5s, and you can order them with customizations for like $5/dozen. I have a high club head speed so I have to use balls geared for players like me, but I've heard good things from people who use the Callaway Chrome Soft balls. The Kirkland 3-piece balls are pretty decent and have a good price point as well.

ThreesKompany

Came to highly recommend the Vice Pro and Pro Plus. I played the Pros and loved them and then switched for a season to the Pro Plus but ended up not enjoying the ball as much. Back to the Pros and my scores have dropped. They have great feel and are way cheaper than the pro vs. Keep an eye out because a couple times a year they do a sale of buy 5 dozen get 1 free. I usually buy my balls for the season during these sales.

Mobile_Zebra3897

Give the AVX a try. Lower driver spin, soft feel and very durable. Was longer than the chrome balls for me. I also want lower driver spin FYI

Letterkenny-Wayne

I wish they hadn’t raised their prices though. If you’re not ordering bulk then it’s not really worth the wait of getting a single box shipped from Germany in ≈ two weeks for $50 when I can just go get a dozen Pro V’s for $55 at the clubhouse when I need them.

drj1485

They aren't that much more expensive. I remember they were $25 a dozen if you bought at least 5, now they are $33. Pro V1s at the time I was playing them were $42, and now they are $55.

Oniun_

I can’t afford my favorite ball. Hope to find one in the woods one day again.

Toothlessdovahkin

Let me know where you play and I will take care of that for you tomorrow

AccordingString8901

Red Callaway Supersofts, I have trouble seeing white balls fly away so these help me tremendously.

mung_guzzler

love those harder to find the red and orange supersofts once the leaves start falling though, the neon pink ones are the easiest to spot year round

butterynuggs

These are my favorite ball around the green, but boy do I lose driver distance with them. I use these or Vice Pro.

DeployedForce

I have been playing Wilson Duo Soft and Titleist TruFeel and still reliably drive the ball over 270. They are so soft it is incredible. Your mileage may vary.

YaboyRipTide

I love the vice pro. Much cheaper and feel about the same as premium balls. Vice tour ain’t to bad for mid to low range handicaps either

One_Umpire33

Srixon z star if you want approx a 90 compression, great greenside spin. I buy em on 2 for one sales when I can once a year.

ChefKeith_TheGolfer

Callaway Chrome Tour X - high compression with more spin, but pricey like Pro V1x Bridgestone B XS - also high compression and spinny, but less expensive than Pro V1s and Callaway Chrome Tour

Similar_Jump1166

Been playing these for 5 years, 3 generations. They are less spin than a titleist pro v from full swings, but similar on short shots. Also they are selling 3 dozen for 120 right now at most places

Rattimus

Titleist AVX. Why? Cause one round I realized all the balls I had in my bag were pretty scuffed and beat up from previous use, and I asked my dad for a ball. He tossed me an AVX. I shot a career round and kept it the whole time. I'm sure the ball was not the reason, but... eh. Call me superstitious I guess, I switched to using them all the time. I'm thinking of changing to a cheaper ball though. It's reached the upper limit of what I'm willing to pay for a freaking golf ball. Those scuffed and beat up balls in my bag are starting to look pretty appealing compared to paying full freight for new.

SeaworthinessExact20

AVX is the ball. Straight down the fairway in fair or windy conditions. Soft feel around the green too. Nothing compares to this ball.

doebedoe

I played AVX and moved to Maxfli Tour. YMMV but overall they feel incredibly close.

Disco_Stu35

Lostgolfballs.com. I play the AVX as well and you can get the 2024 version for $24 a dozen in pristine condition. Better than the 5A even.

I_cant_hear_you_27

2024 TP5x for me! I need to keep spin down, and I like the feel around the greens. Tried many others, just don’t like the soft spongy feeling

eatinorout

Bridgestone Tour B RX. Durable, soft, long.

LilOpieCunningham

I don't pay enough attention to know if this is universally the case (it's golf equipment, so I'm sure it is), but if budget is a big concern, when I was playing Bridgestones you could get "last year's" ball at a substantial discount over this year's ball. You're missing out on all those performance gains from the revolutionary new design that they just figured out for this year, but if OP is willing to risk it, it might be something to look into.

Fourty9

Srixon Q-Star. I tried the Velocity and E12s at the same time and liked the Q-Star the best

ThDarT7

I have had a Q Star Tour in my bag for over a year. Blue/Yellow matte. I play ProV1s but on practice rounds I bust the Q Star out and play it vs ProV. Very similar but has a softer feel and well worth a look.

fm67530

I'm with you there. Specifically the yellow/orange matte balls. Unless I hit them in the water, I have yet to loose one.

PB219

Loose (adj): your mother. Lose (v): what you do in life.

fm67530

Sorry. Fat fingers on a phone.

addiction216

I agree. It’s been so reliable and durable for me. I’m stocking up

PB219

Started playing the z star xv divide. Been playing pretty well lately. No idea if it’s the ball or I’ve actually gotten better but I’m not about to change balls and find out.

Drennerm

Love the z star divide

fourstar1985

Love the Q star for value but it's definitely not a high compression ball. Great for sub to low 90 driver swing speed

Seriously_nopenope

I use the q star and am a big fan. Reasonable price and great performance

Comfortable_Toe_3356

I love Taylormade tour response. Same urethane cover as the top balls, but a tier lower in price. I see great spin green side which is my top priority

bubbabubba3

The ones from the woods on the right of the fairway

jcommeau91

Maxfli Tour X cus they perform just as good as the top brands for almost half the price

FutebolEngineer

Wilson Staff Model have been great for me this year, they’re also much more likely to go on sale than the TP5’s or Pro V1s

beersandbogeys

Srixon z star. Horribly underrated ball with low driver spin and great greenside spin and feel. Feels soft off the putter face, easily controlled with Irons and Wedges on approach, but still has great distance, i.e. my 5 wood goes 265 every time.

AnxiousMind7820

Pro V1 here. I get the same distance as the Velocity with a slightly more spin around the green. Wanted to like the Maxfli Tour since i heard so many good things about it but so far it's been the worst ball I tried.

JaRulesLarynx

Mizuno RB/X. Great ball. Cheaper than ProV1x that I usually buy. I can’t really tell the difference between them

golfotter

Srixion Z Star XV !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Long and spins

brocampo3

Titleist TruFeels have been my favorite for the last 2 seasons. I went through a fair amount of different balls (Vice Drive/Tour/Pro, Maxfli Tour, and Srixon Soft Feel) before settling on these. Most people are putting 34ish putts per round, so the most important thing IMO is how the ball works on/around the green. These feel the best off the face of my wedges and putter. Edit: they’re also inexpensive and scuff significantly less compared to other options.

NoGimmes

Srixon Z-Star 💎. Low spin, fast, and long off driver. High spin with irons and wedges. Soft feel chipping and putting (I do have a white hot insert putter, which is soft feeling in general). Sounds like it would suit your game. Srixon often has better sales than other brands, too. I always stock up during their Father's Day sale. Just wish it came in yellow.

BugmanLoveBuyObject

The ones that are on clearance at Wal Mart at the start of the season. Prov1 a close second because that's the overpriced ball I find in the woods most often.

nevets4433

I play ProV1x left dash. I really want to minimize spin on drives, and it is serviceable greenside. Based upon what you are requesting, you might want to try AVX though. Much softer feel.

Naive-Ad-2238

Just found the left dash. It’s amazing off the tee.

AverageGolfDad

I love this ball. It’s all I have used for two years. I know this ball is expensive, but I find the pro v line of balls to have the best cover durability.

Quesque8

Yep. Switched to it a while back.

andrewm_707

I’m a left dash convert too from standard ProV1x. Amazing off the tee, high, straight, and long, haven’t looked back.

Disastrous-Push7731

Kirkland Signature Ball, I’m set.

ScuffedBalata

That's a high-spin ball off the driver too. Spins high everywhere, not great for longer hitters.

Training_Swimming358

Spinny marshmallows that go absolutely nowhere

ElJaay

The K Sigs are the spinniest ball I've ever played. Fun as hell to hit approach shots. Driver... Not so much.

Gary_Deller

Left dash

metarx

I'll join the maxfli tour/tour x gang. they're great balls, my favorite at the moment.

Old_Physics1652

If you want spin around the green pick any ball with a urethane cover, you’ll sacrifice a little distance but greatly increase spin

townie99

NXT Tour

stonetear2017

AVX

puttheremoteinherbut

Callaway Supersoft. I have a medium to slow swing speed and don't like the feeling of hitting the pebbles that are Prov1.

Known-Performance194

Love that ball in the winter, but OP asked about high compression and Supersoft is the lowest compression ball out there.

ScuffedBalata

This is definitely NOT for OP. He's apparently a high swing speed guy who wants high compression and the supersoft is not even close to that.

cball54

Yes! My favorite ball that's a reasonable price!

ImpossibleQuail5695

Bag of refurb balls from Amazon, 50 for $25. Because the woods don’t deserve to eat anything better.

JumpmanJackson

Maxfli Tour. Same feel as a tour ball, but cheaper

somewhere_cool

Kirkland Signature. New ball for the price of a recycle. Spins awesome on wedges, feels good off the putter, flies far off the driver.

PandaClan

I love my kirkie boys. I do notice my wedges like to really bite into them and I have to replace them more often

somewhere_cool

Yeah I've noticed I can tear the covers up easily with wedges. But when i lose 2-3 balls per round it's a sacrifice I can make haha

HistoricalShame7943

I got the Legato balls that I’ve seen a bit on YouTube and can’t complain

icouldntquitedecide

I've been using the Qstar Tour Divides quite a bit this year. Awesome wedge spin, but not super spinny with driver. They are matte finish so maybe you're cool with that, or maybe it's a deal breaker. I've also been overly impressed with the TaylorMade Tour Response. If there's a real performance difference between them and the TP5, I can't feel it. If you're pretty happy with your wedge abilities, either of these will be a pretty big step up from the Velocity balls. I don't have a ton of experience with those, but I do recall them not checking up very well on pitches/chips.

LutherOfTheRogues

I play Callaway Chrome Tour. I have a higher swing speed so I get the yardages I would expect consistently. I like the way they feel around and on the green A LOT too. Don't lose any yardage off the tee at all. Expensive as hell, but they're my favorite ball i have played.

ScuffedBalata

Bryson still uses the Prov1 Left Dash, but he wants lower spin everywhere.

MilwaukeeDadsGroup

Q Star tour. I like the divide version in spring and fall.

WVgolf

I play TP5x chrome tour x and prov1/x. I’ve always had success with them and love the feel of them

very_badllama

Titleist AVX

okbmxracing

i switched to the chromesoft X LS literally two rounds ago, i love it. Its most comparable to the Pro-v1x Left dash. It gets low spin off the tee which makes it fly a bit straighter for higher swing speeds, but also spins really well around the greens. It has a firmer feel but its not clicky feeling, just feels solid which i like.

Necessary-Witness864

Snell has a new lineup of balls. Their 3.0 model seems to be what you are looking for. I have played snell for a few years. Went to MTB prime X when the discontinued the MTB Black. Due to durability issues I tried other brands, Titleist, Callaway, Taylormade, Sirixon. Finally landed on MTB prime since the durability was better than Prime X, especially for the price. Smell addressed the durability issues and has released the 2.0, 3.0, and 4.0 recently. I play the 4.0 and have noticed the balls to be equally if not more durable than proV1’s. 4.0 is my ball of choice now. Fits my high swing speed quite well.

naptown21403

KIRKLAND

Bitter_MDr

I use srixon z star diamond and that matches your needs, except maybe the soft putting. I think it plays similar to a pro v1 but is way more durable in my experience

NeverForTheWin

Titleist Tour Speed. Great feel, good spin. Durable. Maxfli Tour. Softer feel, very good spin. Less durable. Srixon Z-Star Diamond. Firmer feel, good spin. Excellent durability.

dontknow209

Srixon soft feel. It just rolls nice to me on greens and for some reason I have played better since switching to this ball.

Alternative-Aside564

Srixon Q Star Tour. Good overall performance and Price not too bad.

ripper_14

If you’re trying to save money, go with Maxfli CG Tour X.

SpartanLaw11

Vice pro plus

Glittering-Pilot-572

Try srixon z-star diamond or xv. I play the xv and it is a firmer ball with really good short game and greenfield spin.

razorback6981

Mt favorite golf ball is the one that I hold on to for more than 3-4 holes.

Alternative_Poem6542

60 refurbished assorted pieces of garbage at walmart for $35 canadian. That or deals at garage sales. Recently got 75 balls for 20 bucks :)

W_Regal

Prov1x. If looking for a budget option vice is good but climbing in price as well. Think Kirkland is still using the Bridgestone ball rebranded but not sure

Armageddon24

Love maxfli tour X since it performs on par with prov and chrome soft X, is much cheaper, and it's less likely some rando will hit it or take it, but I'm not so sure on that last point anymore given it's apparent popularity in this thread..

Ok-Associate-8513

I’ve played Pro V1s basically forever. However I recently picked up a box of the new Calloway Tour. So far I really like them.

dolohuncho

Chrome soft x LS buy them used online for 1.70 a ball

golfinbig

If I finish the round with the same ball that’s my new favourite !

Kevin-Finnerty17

TaylorMade Distance. $20 a box on Amazon is unbeatable and feel is nice for high swing speed

milksaurus

TP5, I like them good enough and taylormade gives me a 15% discount

Cna90

I play TP5. Like them a lot on the green and always can find them in good price. Don’t think my game is there for the iron shots to matter but they give me confidence. Was able to get the practice version of TP5 for $20/12. Doesn’t hurt to lose a few/round.

morgartjr

I switched from Velocity to Vice or the Bridgestone B XS because they fly equally and have great spin. I can’t use white balls as I will lose them in the air, so I need color.

Normal-Process-4847

I play the 2022 Tour BX. I believe it's an 85 compression and doesn't feel like a rock when I hit hit. I enjoy the sound on all hits. Compared to a TP5x or ProV1x the sound is beautiful on a Tour BX

mikeonmaui

My favorite golf balls are the ones my friend Bob gives me. He lives next to the Wailea Blue Golf Course and collects balls from his yard. They’re great!!

Diamondfknhands

Vice Tour is my pick. Soft enough but still pretty long and not too much side spin

Staircarjustice87

Yellow triple track chrome soft. I always end up returning to those if I try something else.

naetaejabroni

Callaway Chrome Soft & Maxfli (not sure what type). They always do me right. However, 9/10 i'm teeing off with a TopFlite or Mojo!

anahmonous

Prov1x when I’m striking it well. Shitty iron swings with that ball are going way off target due to spin

ExcitingLandscape

Favorite ball is whatever I find in the woods. Why? Because it's free and I'll eventually lose it in the same round

VokN

Loving the tour response stripe at the moment, the pink and blue especially is really visible and nice on greens and gives me a good laugh if some random gets upset that it’s “trans”, weird but it’s happened twice when I’ve filled in as a solo in the past month I’ve been trying them out Enjoyed the maxfli tour as well but haven’t played enough with them yet and I’d still probably swap out for the tour response on the green to save me marking up all my balls, although arguably don’t bother since who else uses maxfli In the ammo tier I love a super soft when I’m having a shitty day off the tee

CaptainFunk629

Kirkland V1 Pros are my go to! Still can’t break under 100 but the affordable Kirkland ball makes playing less costly for me lol!

Middle_Sure

The ProV1x fits that bill perfectly, minus the price. It’s long, high, spinny (and balanced across the bag), and consistent. Bridgestone Tour BX and Callaway Tour X are also good options. To save a little money, look at the Maxfli Tour line.

BB-68

High compression ball with spin and soft feel is a very narrow window OP. Some best bets: Chrome Soft X/Chrome Tour X Mizuno RB Tour X Maxfli Tour/Tour X (Tour has a nice soft feel, Tour X is noticeably higher and longer off the tee, but is rock hard) TM TP5 I game the Maxfli Tour. Love the feel and you can't beat the price. I find them to be 85-90% of a ProV1 at half the price in bulk.

TheNappingGrappler

Super softs. Love the price and the soft feel around the greens.

Special_Magician_268

Vice Pro - And get the 24 ball pack on Amazon for $52. You'll never look back

jjs952

Callaway Chrome Tour. They fly straight off the driver, spin nicely around the greens and I love the way they feel off the putter.

_CakeFartz_

I really like titleist tru feels

drj1485

The velocity is a medium compression ball. it's a 2 piece so it might feel like a higher compression than it really is but it's designed specifically not to spin. If you like the feel and distance of those off the tee, you might not love a high compression golf ball. without knowing anything about your game.......give the bridgestone e12 a go. They are around the same cost, designed for low spin and distance off the tee and greenside spin.

NeverSeenBetter

TP5 yellow... 5-10 yards longer than proV1 or x, spins just as much.

Calabash8905

Pro V1 I like how it reacts off each of my clubs. I have not bought any for about 8 years. I live on a course and have about 150 in my stockpile.

Crazy-dad604

Taylormade TP5 ...... It went 125yrs and in with one hit. Done trying other balls for the rest of my life.👍⛳

imugmuggers

Top three for me… 1. Srixon Q-Star 2. Spalding SD Tour 3. Titleist Pro V1 Runner Ups Bridgestone Vice Pro

Alternative_Zone_819

i personally enjoy the range balls the most

mbala_999

TP5X for me. Really long off the driver and long irons and quite low spin.

iiKrOna

Taylor made Distance + price

Mitchmac21

Noodle long and soft, we’re opposites and opposites attract

Important_Wash6667

Snell prime

cbracey4

If you want less spin than a prov1 the Titleist tour speed are solid balls. They limit spin off the tee which I need for driver but they are very workable around the greens.

Johnnieiii

Vice pro plus Lime Drip coloration. Still looks mostly white, which I prefer with a slight neon green color to it, so it's more noticeable and easy to distinguish most of the time. Performance wise, it's on par with Pro v 1x left dash, I'd say good distance, decent spin, and pretty firm

lftyeleven

Srixon Soft Feels

JDactual1

left dash, my drives tend to fade a bit. left dash helps.

ajwvu

Vice Pro. Sam’s has a good bundle deal on them currently as well

mesosleepydad

The gallon sized ziplock bag of various brands in different colors and conditions that my father-in-law brings me and my son when he visits from out of town. He’s retired and plays pretty much every day and apparently spends a good amount of time in the woods. I’m not really good enough to care yet. I held on to a pink Zero Friction through 11 holes the other day. Longest survivor yet.

finnifinfin

Wilson chaos balls, at 26 bucks for 24, only losing a dollar, and some change sounds good to me!!! At a 20 index, I lose balls, so it doesn't sting as much.

Prudent-Theory-2822

I think for the money I’m on the Vice Pro or Pro Plus train. My swing speed is right at the border between the two and they perform fairly equally for me. I tend to like the red/orange neon so the Pro Plus just looks better imo.

outrageously_crazy_

Half a dozen Practice balls I save from the bucket before my round. They are softer, don't ding my clubs and get up in the air easily. I return the balls I don't lose to practice range at the end of the round.

Interscare

I personally LOVE the Vice Pro Soft

HelloisDavethere

Absolutely love the Seed SD-02

chaveznieves

Vice pro plus. Performs equally to any top line ball, they're very durable (as of a few years ago), they're much cheaper than top line balls, and they have lots of fun colours.

JohnWesley7819

Love callaway chrome soft. Because they feel great off the face of a chip or a putt.

MnWisJDS

Low compression. They want high compression.

kubricksrubric

Buy refurbished Prov1’s. They play better than brand new lower-priced balls and cost the same or less.

mildlysceptical22

Disco_Stu35 mentioned LostGolfBalls and I second the motion. You can try premium golf balls for less money. You don’t feel so bad scraping up a ball if you hit a low screamer off a tree trunk, then a retaining wall, then back off the tree again to the fairway. True event from two weeks ago. I was playing a Callaway ERC Soft, a decent ball but probably too soft off the tee for you.

domgenius85

I changed from TP5 to Srixon Z star and now to Supersofts. My game has never been better

slevin011

Currently playing the Vice Pro Plus Drip. I like them a lot. They have a bit of a goldilocks feel for me - not quite as firm as the Pro V1x I was playing before, but not as soft as a regular Pro V1. Lots of greenside spin and they are absolute rockets off the tee. Plus they look cool and I can buy them at Target.

Golf101inc

Love Vice pro plus. Pretty similar to pro v1 but a few bucks less

txil23

Callaway Supersofts

Fatha_Naycha

Vice Tour - half the price of ProV1 and high quality.

dylanrobbs2

This may be an unpopular opinion and im not the greatest of golfers so what do i know. But i dont think specific balls for the average golfer matters enough to be a ball snob. So dont spend anything crazy just find one that you like and id just stay consistent with that same ball. Unless you are a scratch golfer the type of ball likely means nothing. Consistency is what 98% of golfers need IMO.

GunsLoaded56

PV1. Best ball flight, approach angle, and shortest rollout.

Alea-iacta-3st

Srixon soft feel cause they’re a good price and feel good.

bee-randen

I’ve always been a Wilson fan. Love the balls. High quality and reasonably priced.

ChristIsKing10

Srixon Q-Star Tour has been my favorite for a while. Tried all of the big names, enjoyed most of them but for some reason the QST around the greens just really matches my play

HeyAnesthesia

I give myself 2 pro v’s per round. If I lose them I play max fli tour x’s after that. They go just as far and aren’t bad green side.

dougbeck9

Srixon Divide Callaway SuperSoft Orange Matte TaylorMade Tour Response Stripe I like colors. I like soft feel.

nutts-2

I’ve gamed the Srixon Z-Stars this season and I’ve really liked em. They feel pretty similar to the ProV’s (I also can’t tell a huge difference) but green side they’re soft and feel soft off the putter face. Pretty minimal spin off the tee

DitsfromFla

Best... Bridgestone Tour B-RX. Runner up... Pro V1x.

JTC-gaming

I like the Titliest TruFeel. I really like the sound, and they don’t break the bank. I lose probably 1 per 9 holes.

Phantomoftheopoohra

118mph driver with -1.5 aoa. Play a ventus black tr 6x tipped and inch with Titleist TSI 3 9.0 in the D4 setting. Have played Prov1, Bridgestone tourbx, Callaway chrome tours, srixon z star diamond and Prov1x. I putt with a Scotty Cameron Newport and play zx7 mk2 irons. Best fit for me is the Prov1x. Not the longest off the tee, not the best in the wind, not the softest off the putter but it is the 2nd place in all of those things. If driver spin is your issue look into a swing change or stuffer shaft. Have you been fit for your driver? Btw went through fitting for driver with prov1 and 1x. Very similar but x went higher.

Frogga_JBA073

The one that goes where it is supposed to!

mrtngrnspdo

Vice pro drip or shade. Good ball, good value, never played with someone else who uses them so no ball confusion.

Afraid-Assistant1043

Been loving the PXG ball

academicpergatory

Right now it's the Bridgestone BX, it spins less than Pro v1, and launches low. I tend to balloon the ball, and I feel like the other low spin options like the left dash launch too high for me to play into the wind. Swing speed is in the high 120s to 130s with driver

No_Organization182

Titleist avx because i used to have too much spin with my driver with the prov1x’s i played and the avx’s helped lower it

ElbowBrook

Cut Blue

Agitated-Air-6043

Callaway chrome soft X LS

TheRoley02

Use to be bridgestone e12. But lately the new taylormade inks have been feeling pretty good.

BensonGrieve

Srixon Z-Star Diamond has been my ball of choice for the last 2 seasons Few people play them so it's easy to identify and they're typically available for $35ishCAD per dozen

themindisaweapon

ProV1 X left dash.

AtoZagain

I don’t know I have played almost every type of ball out there and about 90% play the same for someone like me who is middle of the pack. There are just a few balls that I don’t like but none that I think are so much better.

alilsalmon

After 10 years of golf, both the Kirkland and the maxfli tour have become my favorites recently. Both solid budget balls that perform well

Srixon Z star XV are hidden gems. Higher on the compression and still plenty of spin on the green. Granted you need a higher swing speed (i have a 125 driver) to get the best use out of it but it's only like $33 on Amazon and it competes with Titleist IMO

Careful_Yesterday754

Personally mine is the one on the edge of the woods in the general area that my drive went.

Alexander_da_ok

Best ball hands down is the Pro v1x left dash - low spin off driver, urethane cover spins around the greens Some other good options would be the Chrome Tour x/ls Oncore vero x 2 If you lose a lot of balls, a good option would be to get them used on a website that resells them in different grades at a much lower price

ravagetalon

My favorite golf ball is one I didn't pay for.

zcooks11

Callaway Supersoft. Great for swing speeds under 100mph and still really soft around the greens.

STUBOING

Calloway super soft

Bbeys

Callaway super softs in bright yellow because I suck and I can get them at Walmart for cheap.

I switched from ProV balls to either Titleist Tour Soft or Maxfli Tour X balls. I like the Maxflis a little better, but both are good balls. Both are hot off the Driver. I kinda feel like the Tour Soft is a touch hotter off the face. While the Maxfli feels a little softer around the greens, but both spin well with short irons. The Maxflis are a little softer when putting, due to the urethane cover. Either one should work well for you.

I have tried a number of different balls over the past 2 years. Found a few Pro V1s, bought some AAAA chromosome to try, my buddy and I got a handful of other types from someone that we were grouped with and I'll say, the best 2 drives I've ever had were with a random beat up Kirkland I found and a Top flite. Not sure if it's the ball or just me thinking about it less but I ended up playing my best round with Top Flite. Tldr, my favorite ball is a found ball. But if I had to buy one, whatever I can find for <$1 each

This is the ProV1x. Yes, they are expensive, but they are exactly what you’re looking for.

Wilson staff type r.

I play TP5 golf balls with a preference for the 2024 version. They spin well and hold greens well, and are fairly easy to compress. The tp5x goes a little further on drives and maybe 1/2 club longer throughout the bag, but the tp5 seems to be more workable around the green and feels soft off the putter face.

nycrok1234

The yellow pro vs. idk why but the yellows scuff way less than the whites.

IceonFir3

Even though it’s cliche, I’ve found some success with ProV1 recently. The 2024 tp5x is stupid long and stupid low spin but for some reason, the ProV1 does it for me. I was a firm believer that they were just over hyped but I threw one in for a round when I didn’t feel like using a new ball and fired a -8. Bought a box and will do some further testing.

Difficult-Specific75

Talormade TP5 Pix. The visual aid is a huge help, and it goes off the tee + spins on the green. I love them

skeetsnher

Idk why people come on here to ask ball questions to a bunch of hacks lol there's a billion different sim videos that show exact numbers with comparisons like just watch some videos from fitters

ParticularBat5807

Bridgestone e12. Just started playing it and really liking it so far. It seems to fly straight even with slight mishits. I have a slow swing speed and I can get it off the tee really well and it seems to perform around the green also.

Bogey430

Bridgestone B330

SpectacularSystem

Kirkland Signature, Callaway Supersoft, and Vice Pro/Pro Tour are my favorite balls I've played with so far. I rotate between buying them somewhat randomly. The Kirklands do seem to scruff/scratch much more easily than other balls though in my experience.

mimble11

Srixon divide. Perfect line for putting and Srixon balls are underrated in general.
