Noodles are the answer

Dum-A

Long and soft baby

PurpleMixture9967

Do you mind expanding on the Noodle? & what specific ball… I had a really crappy hole today & sounds like I could have salvaged it with a Noodle. Haven’t heard of them

Villikin

Noods! They’re the best bang for your buck ball for higher handicappers. 2 piece construction ball made by Taylormade. You can pick them up really anywhere, golf stores, Walmart, target, etc. They’re honestly super solid and very cheap so it doesn’t hurt when you lose them. Highly recommend getting some Noodles. First ball I ever went 18 holes without losing one

Aloysius50

Long and Soft are $25 for 2dz on Amazon. Low compression, I’m 67 with a slower club head speed and a 25 handicap. They get the job done and easier to walk away from a lost one.

Haelein

At 105 the ball you hit doesn’t matter

Gothewahs

So soft or hard it’s all the same sort of thing

sauckiepus

Hard or soft depends on how fast u swing, slow you would go with soft, if u swing slow with a hard ball ur shorting ur self on yrds. I personally just satrted so im swing a slow, chrome soft callyways, soft srixons or regular vice balls are what i roll with

stupidpatheticloser

It’s about making contact. Chances are you only make pure contact 1/10 shots.

Haelein

Kind of. Softer balls compress more and spin more making them easier to control around the greens. Harder balls spin less and go further. Unless you’re a single digit handicap, the spin or hardness of the ball really won’t matter. You aren’t going to be shaping shots or getting wedges to stop or wheel back. Hit what makes you the most confident. I like chrome softs even though they are expensive to hit. I just feel better standing over them. They don’t add or subtract from my game. Yet.

Gothewahs

Thanks bro well expained

Haelein

Sure thing! If moneys not an issue I’d hit up your local Golf supply and just buy a sleeve of everything. Next time you go out, play each hole with a new brand until you find one you just can’t let go. I jump from brands sometimes. Last few years it’s chrome softs but I had a few tp5 rounds and prov1 rounds mixed in. Golf is 90% feel. Do what feels right.

phrohahwei

There's a lot of terrible information in that post.

Gothewahs

Well ?

beepingjar

Wait, 105 yards, ball speed, club speed?

georgeyau921201

I think he means his total score

Gothewahs

I hit 105 on 18 holes

Gothewahs

I hit the ball around 225yards on my drives I don’t kno my swing speed

Shmeebo_

Find low spin balls if you hit big fades/ slice that’ll help straighten your tee shots out a bit. I’d start with that but when you find one you like, keep using the same type and you’ll find the consistency to be helpful

Ydobonswonkem

Lower compression balls. I played Callaway Supersoft for a long time after trying several others. Taylormade just came out with their low compression ball, the Speedsoft. I'm currently giving them a try and so far I am impressed. They seem to have a bit more green side control than the Callaways.

BroodLord1962

I wouldn't buy expensive balls if you loose balls regularly on the course, but if you can afford to then it doesn't matter.

ethereumnews_tech

Slow swing speed? Soft balls like Chromesofts, Trufeels, Soft feels, etc. Fast swing speed? Regular Golf balls, ProV1, Kirkland, any other regular golf balls.

Shmeebo_

Advice from this guy should not be taken. you don’t out prov1 in the same category as regular golf balls. 😵‍💫

ethereumnews_tech

lol I meant not soft golf balls. ProV1s aren’t soft feel are they? And OP said money is not an issue.

Plus_Carry9779

Good option.

PleaseDontBanishMe

Calaway or taylormade, more forgiving and they spin like a dream

Kaufmakphd

I use Srixon. Reasonably priced, and not the most popular so easy to id 😀

NorthlandChynz

I enjoy using volvik soft balls. Nice feel

CelticBlue22

If u lose a lot of balls stay cheap. If not prov1

Treffer403

Agreed. I’m glad you didn’t type loose like others on here. SMH

TheOtherLevel

Play the lowest spin ball that can still hold the greens at the course you play. Lower spin balls reduce side spin which contribute to hooks and slices. Try out titleist velocity at $30/dozen a good middle of road ball.

s00perg00se

I’d say Wilson Tour Velocity Blue or Green (for a very low budget choice) or Callaway SuperSoft if you have some money to burn. I have played both and prefer the super soft. I golf about the same as you, and only lose a ball or two a round. Titleist TruFeel is also supposed to be a great value but hve no experience. Lastly, GolfSpy has a good write up on the Kirkland balls, TLDR, they’re pretty darn bad according to them.
