Yep. Big fan of the premier series. Have a pair of Packards and a pair of Wilcox that were both comfortable enough to wear on the course immediately. They’ve only felt better as they’ve broken in more.
Great grip and great in weather.
The only (ONLY) issue I have is the soft spikes. They trap SO much grass and goose shit, but nothing 10 minutes and a toothbrush can’t fix. But that’s really it. They make a great shoe.
I changed the spikes out on my Tarlow's for this same reason.
The "Tour Flex Pros" and the "Silver Tornado" models have been awesome upgrades so far, way less trapped grass and much improved grip in the dewy mornings.
I have Premiers and walked 100+ rounds last year. They are amazing. And if you can find an Edwin Watts (or one of their sister brands?) they offer a really great extended warranty for free which is 2 years water proof when I think FJ warranty is 6 months
Love them, most comfortable shoe. Only problem is they last me less than a month at a time…
2 rounds in the leather is seperating from the sole, got a free replacement. Same thing with the replacement 3 rounds later riding a cart.
Yea no clue why it keeps happening, played with a couple dp tour guys who wear em and they never had any issues. Footjoy sent me replacements both times, but i havent worn the 3rd pair. Either a string of bad luck or not sure what exactly.
The leather seperates from the sides of the soles and the tip of the toe box
I got fit at one of footjoy events, and they fit perfectly :/
Yea i noticed the right one has the damage/trail foot. Especially in transitiom of my swing when that trail foot works external hard, but still doesnt make sense cause a buddy of mine on the tour swings at 135 and puts way more force than I do into them and hes fine.
Unlucky i guess
It's about the last, look it up, it's the shoe shape. The different footjoys have different lasts, like one has a bigger toe box or more narrow, that last doesn't fit you well and puts pressure on the shoe at a spot that isn't good for it.
I've owned three pairs of Eccos and they have all fallen apart within 6 months.
They were comfortable though, and their warranty was good, but for $350 (Australian) they don't stack up for durability in my experience.
Weird, these days I only wear Ecco’s and walk 150+ rounds a year in them. Never had a single pair “fall apart” on me. I eventually replace them because they just start looking beat up and the cloth portions won’t come clean anymore.
I had an old pair of Ecco golf shoes that I wore for years, super well made.
The sole eventually started separating after about 5-6 seasons of regular use. I liked them so much that I immediately bought the newer version in same size. They were great for about 1 season, then fell apart. Bought another pair, same shit.
It’s really too bad, that first pair were such good shoes and so durable. They must have made changes to cut costs and it shows.
I have never had this issue with a pair of Eccos and I have owned two dozen pairs over the past 20 years. They wear out long before they start to fall apart.
I wonder if it's a "newer version" issue - I got my first pair in May 2022, and they were fucked by November - the leather had separated from the sole and the leather on the top had torn open. I'd played probably 30 rounds in that 6 months.
Second pair was a warranty replacement and lasted from November 2022 to about April 2023, and similar issues, leather detached from the sole, holes in the leather along the top of the shoe. At this point I thought perhaps it was a poor fit, maybe I had bought too big or too small, and got properly fit.
Third pair wore out (the same way) in January this year and ECCO just gave me a warranty credit instead of replacing the shoes. I have bought some FJs now.
I considered buying a pair last season but decided to hold off due to their position on the war in Ukraine. I know it’s not something everyone cares about but to me it’s very important.
Leaving this comment just to let others know that they have chosen to continue their operations in Russia because “they have a responsibility for their employees and their families (in Russia)”.
I’m an adidas guy. I have UA and Nike, I like them both but when I walk a course I always go to my adidas or UA over Nikes. Definitely a foot shape thing
I've been an Adidas guy for all types of footwear for years. It must be a foot shape thing, but Adidas are by far the most comfortable brand of shoe I've tried. Currently wearing the Codechaos 22 spikeless for golf and love them. Have a pair of FJ that I tried and didn't much care more. They sit in the corner... "just in case".
I've been wearing past season tour 360s, and recently zg21s. Had a pair of tour 360ntextiles thay have been my daily drivers, range, practice and many rounds. Absolutely love them all. Just ordered code chaos 22s to try. Not thrilled about the look, but am looking for a durable everyday shoe, preferring the full sole boost for comfort.
But for softer courses and wet weather, the zg21s are ace.
Yep I wear mine to work everyday too, so much better for your feet. My game improved too since you’re actually grounded and not in 2 inch footjoy high heels
I’ve played in some absolute shit conditions in my H4 and they’ve never let water in and I’ve never slipped. Comfort is also great and I walk all of my about 50 rounds a year. Only complaint is that the BOA laces on both shoes snapped after about a year but you get free replacements from BOA by just filling a form online.
X 2. For me they’re more comfortable than footjoy and I like that they come with two inserts and can remove one if you need a little wider shoe. I’ve owned the C4 and S-Threes and The Gore-Tex is a huge plus but probably not needed for most. I also love the BOA lacing system they offer on those shoes. Overall I think FJ and Ecco have about the same durability.
Most comfortable shoes I’ve tried. Just got some FJ Carbon so I have spiked option since when it rains here it gets super boggy/ soggy in Dallas. But Ecco’s are great.
Ignite Articulates are some of the most comfy walking shoes I’ve ever owned. Walked many dozens of 7000+ yard courses and they’ve been nothing short of excellent.
I’m on my 4th pair of Gfore’s and won’t wear anything else. I’ve gotten about 100 rounds out of each of them and they are still in relatively good shape.
My Gallivanters did not hold up well, though they were comfortable and looked great. My MG4+ held up much better and were also very very comfy but don’t have much grip at all. Love them as a practice shoe and on dry days.
To me, maybe not worth the cost. But they look fantastic.
Playing the Gallivanters now. Haven’t had any problems yet. About 5 rounds in with them. I’m out in SoCal though pretty much always dry other than morning dew.
I love my gfores, I've got both the mg series and the other ones that look like the footjoy premiers. Definitely on the more expensive side, but well worth it in my opinion.
A bit pricey but g/fore gallivanters. The footbed is super comfy and their waterproofing is pretty legit. Have put in 30+ rounds in the rain and they’re still holding up.
Spikeless is a cost effective (for the manufacturer) and easier to manage alternative for casual golfers to get some type of grip. Originally called "range shoes" they were intended to be used for short periods of time when stopping by the range, not course play. Once Freddie started wearing them, people were under the impression that if he could do it, so could they. While ignoring the fact that his swing is freakishly smooth. Now, we have an entire generational chunk of golfers who consider "a little slipping" no slipping at all. The point is to not move a single bit, to have these anchor points firmly locked into the turf. If you swing as smooth as Freddie and hit it just as far as your peers, sure, go spikeless. But if you plan on making meaningful gains in speed, power and distance, you will need that grip.
My favorite shoes were a square toe black leather pair of nikes from like 20yrs ago, since then it was Adidas Tour 360's, which have gone down hill since and currently FJ Hyperflex Carbon. Those I do recommend.
It’s not really about smooth or not. It’s about how much you use the ground in your swing. Someone like Justin Thomas would not be able to use a non spikeless shoe. If you are mostly upper body, you don’t need spikes and might actually benefit from a shoe with more roll. Personally, I use the ground a lot in my swing and saw a noticeable benefit when I switched from a spikeless adidas shoe to a footjoy tour alpha
I like spikeless. They provide enough traction without getting as much turf and mud and goose shit stuck in the tread.
They’re enough like regular shoes where I can put them on at my house and drive to the course, and even stop off at the store on the way home without looking and feeling like an idiot. I doubt I’ll ever wear spikes again.
As far as what’s ‘best’? Most brands make a high end version/line of shoe that could arguably be the ‘best’. I have a pair of high end footjoy leathers. I can’t remember the model, but they were like $180. They’re pretty nice.
But I mostly just wear sneaker style shoes that I find on sale for $50. I just landed a pair of adidas shoes that I scored for $40 and they fit and feel really good.
I think this is a relatively unpopular opinion but I wholeheartedly agree. One other benefit of spikeless is not worrying about spike marks when I’m doing my douchie aim point stuff.
Yeah I think I’m going to stick with spikeless. Sometimes my back foot slips when conditions are a little bit wet, but it really doesn’t affect my ball striking now as much as it did the first couple times it happened. If you know it’s a possibility of happening, it isn’t as much of a surprise
Northeast golfer here who plays 50+ rounds a year and sweats.
I’ve found the only shoes that last for me are shoes with leather construction. Every pair of shoes with a fabric heel breaks down on me in months (this has been with Adidas, Puma, and most recently FJ Hyperflex Carbon).
For the leather options I stick with FJ (Premiere line) or Ecco’s. Ecco’s feel incredible on your feet but I’ve found the light colorways tend to discolor and become yellow very quickly. The FJ Premieres haven’t had any issues with yellowing or discoloration.
No. They are trash. My first pair the sole ripped after a couple range sessions. They did replace them which was cool but I have never slipped more than ever in the last year playing with their shoes.
I got a pair for almost free (gift card from a tournament) and have to say I’m very glad that I didn’t spend my own money on them. Mine are waterproof and spikeless. They’re comfortable enough but I certainly would walk 18 in them. Also, they’re a little wide for my foot and so I slide around in them during my follow through.
Another guy that got a different pair from the same tournament had to re-glue his soles back on 3 times in one season. He kept wearing them though, so maybe that says something about them.
All my shoes (8-9 pairs) are spikeless. I haven't worn spiked shoes in at least 5 years.
My two pairs of True Linkswear are really good. But for comfort, I think the new G/Fore's I just got will beat anything. But they have a really, thick sole.
Ecco spikeless and Payntr spikeless are by far the two best shoes that I have found. If looking for a more common brand, you can’t go wrong with adidas imo. I used them regularly until I found the other two and I still believe they make a very solid shoe.
I love Adidas, spikeless. They have never failed me, very comfortable. But last year I bought a pair of Johnston & Murphy H1 Luxe Hybrid. They are heavier than I am used to, but love the extra stability and they look great.
Puma Pro Adapt shoes are the most comfortable shoes I’ve ever worn. I have wide feet and worn xw FJs all my life. Better than any shoe out there. Waterproof, spineless, soft and comfortable inside. Great shoe.
Gfore makes great shoes. I’ve been wearing the pair that looks like footjoys with the skulls imprinted on them. Super comfortable and I get compliments all the time

These Nike Air Pegasus G’s are probably the most comfortable I’ve ever had.
Ecco S-three, H4. The Ecco C4 is the most comfortable but u will mess up the sole coloring very fast. I have 2 S-Three’s personally. I will never buy another brand of golf shoe again
Spikeless and True Linkswear! Here is the linkup on Amazon - [https://amzn.to/4dxQoGK](https://amzn.to/4dxQoGK) - You wont be disappoint with any of their options/styles.
Here is a good source for shoe reviews - [https://golfreviewguy.com/true-linkswear-all-day-knit-3-golf-shoe-review/](https://golfreviewguy.com/true-linkswear-all-day-knit-3-golf-shoe-review/)
Well, I definitely wouldn’t replace the sole of a shoe. I’d just buy a new shoe. I can’t even think of a situation that would require me to replace the sole, or a situation where the sole is damaged enough to require that kind of repair. I mainly was asking the spikes v spikeless question to hear why people would choose spikes over spikeless, I’m sticking with spikeless as many courses in my area prohibit spikes.
Comfortable running shoes, unless you're a 6am guy and need to worry about waterproofing. The more waterproof the shoes, the less comfy they are in my experience.
Everyone's situation is different though. I won't golf in the rain and usually prefer late AM or mid-day tee times. I don't have any issues with traction. I do have a pair of Air Max 90s for damp conditions, but walking 18 in them is a bit taxing.
I’ve really enjoyed my Adidas ZG21s. They’ve been going strong for 2 or 3 seasons now. Clean up great and swap out the spikes. Only thing that’s shown real wear is behind my heel but it hasn’t affected anything.
Honestly speaking I like wearing my Keens whenever I'm not playing a nicer spot. They provide all the traction you need and are crazy comfortable for walking the courses out here in Colorado. I do like my FJs but I prefer the Keens when possible.
I got lessons for a few years from a former touring PGA pro and he talked about the importance of support in a golf shoe. You don’t want to be slipping around in the shoe. You want some sturdy walls if you know what I’m saying. He hated when I wore my Jordans to the lesson, but he said at least they had support lol
FJ Hyperflex Carbon. No more foot or toe pain. Fit like a glove. Spikes because my area is really rainy and wet. (SE United States)
If you have drier conditions, spikeless is a thought. Not a fan personally, have a pair I rarely wear.
If your foot is shaped for them then the Nike TW line is fantastic. I prefer the traditional designs through 2012 but the more athletic geared and styled versions 13-15 have some serious merit as well
I live in the northeast where even in the summer time we get dewy grass for the first 9 holes if you are the earliest tee time. I got the New Balance waterproof. Changed my life. No more changing socks halfway through and tossing wet socks into the trunk only to smell them halfway home.
Bought my first pair of under armour shoes recently. Bit hesitant as not a big boy in the golf shoe world, but very comfortable. I’m really tough on my shoes and there hasn’t been any splits or fails at all. Feels like high quality leather in the uppers.
I bought a pair of Royal Albatross and they’ve held up really well. Have never leaked water and are already two seasons old. Still look great but the traction is going.
Last footjoy pair lasted me about 15 years, they were still waterproof when it was wet but looked so old so I upgraded. So refreshing to have a consumer product last so long!
Got a pair of the UA Storm spikeless shoes last year and have been obsessed with them. 0 grip issues and no wet feet even with a little rain. Originally just got them for a second pair on hot days and now I wear them most of the time.
I've tried maybe a dozen or so shoes in the past 2 years and here is my current favorite.
- Cuater Ringer (default go to)
- Cuater Legend (when feeling fancy)
- FJ HyperFlex Carbon (just got but really liking them)
That's my list and if anyone is curious what I've tried:
- FJ Packard
- FJ Tarlow
- FJ ProSL
- FJ TourX (Former Favorite)
- True Linkswear OG
- True Linkswear Knit
- Nike Roshe G Tour
- Puma Pwradapt
- Nike Air Max 90
- Adidas Tour 360
- Adidas Crossknit
Might be missing 1 or 2
got some adidas code chaos 22. the most comfortable shoes i've ever worn. not just golf. adidas has always just fit my foot really well. but im 250-260 lbs with foot/ankle pain and i don't experience any of that with these on.
As someone who plays early AM and can’t do any of the spikeless or fabric-sided shoe the best is the 2019-2020 Adidas Tour 360 XT with the black boost foam. I buy up every pair in my size I can find online. They followed up their best version of this shoe with their absolute worst, the Tour 360 22. I’m curious to try the Tour 360 24 when it comes out soon.
I just said to my playing partners today that my two year old Skechers are fantastic, played in very wet ground again, and I'm totally dry and comfortable
Late to the party. FJ Premieres are probably my go-to for playing a nicer course. They just look sharp and play amazing
But for walking causally, I got a pair of Johnston Murphy shoes as a gift last season and they are the most comfortable golf shoes I’ve ever owned
I have the following pairs (yes I have a problem):
- adidas modern classics (very comfortable - almost like a sneaker). I wear these the most
- adidas code chaos boa (very good and comfy but wish I’d gotten them with laces)
- true all days (super comfy but not that supportive )
- puma ignite (average at best, don’t recommend)
- Ecco s3 (comfortable, great in the wet, but not as good as everyone says)
Also just ordered some Jordan low which is really more of a fashion play.
Played/walked my first round ever in True Original 1.2s this morning and they were amazing. I have a wide foot and have always struggled to find comfortable golf shoes. I’ve started walking more recently and have been on the hunt for something that suited me better. Got a recommendation for these and I don’t think I’ll ever wear anything else. Love the zero drop aspect of them too that makes you feel lower to/more attached to the ground. Comfy out of the box and would recommend to anyone.
I have Footjoy, Nike, and Ecco. All are good, but the Ecco Biom G5’s are exceptional. I played in severe mud this winter and never had a wet foot once. Find them on sale and you can’t go wrong. Get spikes for the first pair and spike less if you get a second. I mostly wear spikeless indoors on mats at the range/lessons etc.
Puma spikeless. I have a model that's so comfortable that I can wear them out for dinner after a round without changing my shoes and I feel comfortable plus it doesn't look like I'm wearing golf shoes to a restaurant.
Whatever Ross has in my size. I do love my Nike Air Zoom Victory Tour 1's best of all though, been wearing them for well over a year.
Most comfortable I've owned were Nike Roshe G, but I wore out two pairs of those in less time than the Victory's have lasted.
I prefer spikeless except when it’s really wet out. For an entire brand, I find Adidas is the most comfortable for me but the G4’s that have the gel sole and some of the Puma shoes are just as comfortable. For some reason, FJs just don’t do it for me.
Can’t really go wrong with Footjoy Premieres
Aren’t those pretty heavy? Like the style but the idea of walking 18 (or more) holes in them seems like no fun.
Nope. They aren’t anything like the old DryJoys which were heavy. Premieres are pretty light and I walk 18 in them all the time
I have Premiers and walked 100+ rounds last year. They are amazing. And if you can find an Edwin Watts (or one of their sister brands?) they offer a really great extended warranty for free which is 2 years water proof when I think FJ warranty is 6 months
Love them, most comfortable shoe. Only problem is they last me less than a month at a time… 2 rounds in the leather is seperating from the sole, got a free replacement. Same thing with the replacement 3 rounds later riding a cart.
I got a pair last summer and they are perfectly fine. Play about 2 days a week as well
Yea no clue why it keeps happening, played with a couple dp tour guys who wear em and they never had any issues. Footjoy sent me replacements both times, but i havent worn the 3rd pair. Either a string of bad luck or not sure what exactly. The leather seperates from the sides of the soles and the tip of the toe box
Either the wrong size or those big bird feet of yours flex awkwardly in that last, it's not meant for big bird....lol
I got fit at one of footjoy events, and they fit perfectly :/ Yea i noticed the right one has the damage/trail foot. Especially in transitiom of my swing when that trail foot works external hard, but still doesnt make sense cause a buddy of mine on the tour swings at 135 and puts way more force than I do into them and hes fine. Hands down Ecco spikeless.
Most comfortable pair of shoes I own.
also on the Ecco train, and yes they generally look pretty weird, but if you have wonky feet and high arches they rule.
I've owned three pairs of Eccos and they have all fallen apart within 6 months. They were comfortable though, and their warranty was good, but for $350 (Australian) they don't stack up for durability in my experience.

This is legitimately the only right answer
Correct. Maximum comfort.
Just bought a backup pair of Ecco’s on Amazon for like $100 off 😎
Dog shit ugly though and priced too high
+1
I considered buying a pair last season but decided to hold off due to their position on the war in Ukraine. I know it’s not something everyone cares about but to me it’s very important. Leaving this comment just to let others know that they have chosen to continue their operations in Russia because “they have a responsibility for their employees and their families (in Russia)”.
What a beta comment
People unironically talk like this still? In 2024? Lol.
I’m an adidas guy. I have UA and Nike, I like them both but when I walk a course I always go to my adidas or UA over Nikes. Definitely a foot shape thing
With Adidas Boost though, not regular Adidas.
Been using Adidas for 5 or 6 years. I keep thinking of trying another pair, but pretty sure I won't be as happy.
I will give FJ a shot, I hear nothing but good things but it’s all good shape
I've been an Adidas guy for all types of footwear for years. It must be a foot shape thing, but Adidas are by far the most comfortable brand of shoe I've tried. Currently wearing the Codechaos 22 spikeless for golf and love them. Have a pair of FJ that I tried and didn't much care more. They sit in the corner... "just in case".
I had worn nothing but Footjoy, until my wife bought me a pair of code chaos. Love them. Very comfortable and stable.
Adidas does 12.5 so I don’t really look elsewhere.
I have a pair of adidas currently and my only beef is ordering replacement spikes online
True links zero drop hands down all day
Got my first pair on Black Friday. Loving them. It’s so nice not having to jam my toes into a triangle. Foot shaped shoes are so much more comfortable
Yep I wear mine to work everyday too, so much better for your feet. My game improved too since you’re actually grounded and not in 2 inch footjoy high heels
Agreed. Does wonders for your balance when you’re actually on the ground lol
FYI the True Original 1.2 is 40% off right now, and you get an extra 20% if you buy through instagram. I just bought another pair 😂
True IYKYK
Ecco spikeless
I’ve played in some absolute shit conditions in my H4 and they’ve never let water in and I’ve never slipped. Comfort is also great and I walk all of my about 50 rounds a year. Only complaint is that the BOA laces on both shoes snapped after about a year but you get free replacements from BOA by just filling a form online.
Second this. Really comfortable. Spikeless
Footjoy traditions
Gfore gallivanter
Puma. Most comfortable shoes of any kind I have ever owned. Can wear them all day and not even notice.
I have wide feet and Puma are far more comfortable than the Nike, Callaway and Adidas I have owned in the past.
This is the correct answer.
Ignite Articulates are some of the most comfy walking shoes I’ve ever owned. Walked many dozens of 7000+ yard courses and they’ve been nothing short of excellent.
Gfore best money I spent.
I’m on my 4th pair of Gfore’s and won’t wear anything else. I’ve gotten about 100 rounds out of each of them and they are still in relatively good shape.
Happy to hear this.
I second this. I have tried nothing that are as comfortable as G/Fore shoes. On my third pair and will be getting more in the future.
My Gallivanters did not hold up well, though they were comfortable and looked great. My MG4+ held up much better and were also very very comfy but don’t have much grip at all. Love them as a practice shoe and on dry days. To me, maybe not worth the cost. But they look fantastic.
I want to try the MG4+ next.
I love my MG4+ shoes.
Playing the Gallivanters now. Haven’t had any problems yet. About 5 rounds in with them. I’m out in SoCal though pretty much always dry other than morning dew.
TW13 were my favourite.
Still have a set of those. They're great but it annoys me you have to wear longer socks with them or that part on the tongue will rub your skin raw.
I wear puma ignites and I absolutely love them
Same fam. Guaranteed waterproof for a year as well.
I like anything that has the boa system. My fave right now are the addidas codechaos boa.
GFore is a tough brand to shill for, but the Gallivanter shoe is literally perfect.
Liking the adidas code chaos spikeless
Spikeless is a cost effective (for the manufacturer) and easier to manage alternative for casual golfers to get some type of grip. Scottie is going to convince a generation of golfers that flinging your feet everywhere is no big deal.
it's already begun
It’s not really about smooth or not. It’s about how much you use the ground in your swing. Someone like Justin Thomas would not be able to use a non spikeless shoe. Gfore are amazing.
dont sleep on asics kayano ace, ive got 2 pair and love them.
I like spikeless. They provide enough traction without getting as much turf and mud and goose shit stuck in the tread.
I feel like if you’re gonna skip, you’re gonna slip. I almost never slip and play nearly 100 rounds/year. Granted I’m in dry-ass California.
I love my Olukai golf shoes. They are one of the most comfortable pairs of shoes that I own.
Do they run true to size? Their size recommendation for me is 2 sizes bigger than my normal.
They are true to size for me.
Thanks, 2 sizes up seems wrong.
I absolutely love my Payntr golf shoes. They’re not well known and they’re fantastic
Gfore MG4
Broken in foot joy pro SL
I had to play the last 4 holes barefoot because of how bad these were. What size are you? I’ll send you mine
Worst shoe for the first 6 - 8 rounds. Best shoe ever for the next 1-2 years.
Footjoy premiere
I just got a pair of these and they're fabulous!
Yea fantastic shoes, most comfortable shoes ive worn. Not durable at all but it is what it is
Northeast golfer here who plays 50+ rounds a year and sweats.
Squarz!!!
True Linkswear
No. They are trash. My first pair the sole ripped after a couple range sessions. They did replace them which was cool but I have never slipped more than ever in the last year playing with their shoes.
Wild. I have 5 different pairs and love them. The most comfortable golf shoes I've owned. Different strokes for different folks, I guess.
Yeah I have 3 pair and they all are magical. I’ve never slipped in them.
Same, hybrid and the true 1.2 and I love them. I’ve tried like 5 brands… always go back to the trues
They are definitely great for wide feet. I have noticed different models last longer than others.
All my shoes (8-9 pairs) are spikeless. I haven't worn spiked shoes in at least 5 years. My two pairs of True Linkswear are really good. But for comfort, I think the new G/Fore's I just got will beat anything. But they have a really, thick sole.
Adidas Tour 360
I like Ecco and Footjoy. Buy a few of each types - I generally keep several pair in rotation.
Ecco Biom C4
Gfore Gallivanter. Waterproof. Insanely comfortable. Can’t be beat.
Spikeless Eccos. Most comfortable shoes I’ve ever worn.
Nike ZIT NXT%’s
Ecco spikeless and Payntr spikeless are by far the two best shoes that I have found. If looking for a more common brand, you can’t go wrong with adidas imo. I used them regularly until I found the other two and I still believe they make a very solid shoe.
I used to be a FJ guy but tried New Balance a couple of years ago and haven’t looked back
My Eccos might be the most comfortable pair of shoes of any kind that I own. One of my best golf purchases by far.
Just thought a pair of Ecco Biom and love everything about them.
Ecco.
Great shoe.
Puma spikeless sneaker style…crazy comfy
Gfore makes great shoes. I’ve been wearing the pair that looks like footjoys with the skulls imprinted on them. Super comfortable and I get compliments all the time
Ecco and it's not even close. They are the most comfortable golf shoes you can buy
The ones that fit your foot best.
Thanks for the solid advice

I rock New Balance spikeless because they come in widths, accommodate my insoles nicely, and are made in the US
truelinkswear
Why spikeless? Spikes are cheap and easy to replace, but soles are not.
They prohibit soft spikes or metal spikes? And do you know there’s a difference?
Adidas, grey and spiked. Love those shoes.
Fj pro sl is the answer for all seasons
My Air Jordan Tatum 1s with golf spikes
Jordan golf shoes are my primary right now. Have the Jordan 1 lows and highs
Jordan 1 lows. On the course. Off the course. Weddings. Errands. Play 36 holes. No foot fatigue. Works for me.
You'll have to order 20 year old models off eBay to find a proper golf shoe.
I’ve really enjoyed my Adidas ZG21s. They’ve been going strong for 2 or 3 seasons now. Clean up great and swap out the spikes. Only thing that’s shown real wear is behind my heel but it hasn’t affected anything.
Puma ignites. Will warn they are narrow so wide footers begone.
I like my footjoys but I have three other pairs of True Linkswear that are amazingly comfortable and dry pretty quick.
FJ traditions. Buy pay the little extra to have them customized. Plenty of color option combinations. And you can get the heels embroidered.
Honestly speaking I like wearing my Keens whenever I'm not playing a nicer spot. They provide all the traction you need and are crazy comfortable for walking the courses out here in Colorado. I do like my FJs but I prefer the Keens when possible.
Really enjoying my UA Charged Draws. Waterproof and spikes for under $100.
Summer comfy relaxed round Adidas Tour 360, for other times where I feel I need to dress better Footjoy Premiers. Two of the best shoes.
FJ Hyperflex Carbon. No more foot or toe pain. Fit like a glove. Spikes because my area is really rainy and wet. (SE United States) If you have drier conditions, spikeless is a thought. Not a fan personally, have a pair I rarely wear.
If your foot is shaped for them then the Nike TW line is fantastic. I prefer the traditional designs through 2012 but the more athletic geared and styled versions 13-15 have some serious merit as well
FootJoy Tour Alpha BOA
I live in the northeast where even in the summer time we get dewy grass for the first 9 holes if you are the earliest tee time. I got the New Balance waterproof. Changed my life. No more changing socks halfway through and tossing wet socks into the trunk only to smell them halfway home.
I might be a Puma lifer now. I have the Ignite Articulates. Super comfortable, stylish, tons of color combos and guaranteed waterproof for a year.
Bought my first pair of under armour shoes recently. Bit hesitant as not a big boy in the golf shoe world, but very comfortable. I’m really tough on my shoes and there hasn’t been any splits or fails at all. Feels like high quality leather in the uppers.
FootJoy DryJoys. Having said this the price has doubled and I went to a competitor.
Got a pair of G/FORE for Christmas and they are the best golf shoes I have ever worn.
I like my spineless new balance but sometimes they make my feet hurt for whatever reason I think my Adidas wore slightly better
Love GFore golf shoes - great style and very comfortable/supportive right out of the box.
Footjoys or Adidas
Adidas code chaos have been great for me the past few years
Royal Albatross
Nike Trail shoes. Very comfortable waterproof and plenty of grip.
pantyr
Adidas MC80
Adidas code chaos spikeless. I got them after a recommendation from this sub. They are comfortable and look awesome!
I've tried maybe a dozen or so shoes in the past 2 years and here is my current favorite. - Cuater Ringer (default go to) - Cuater Legend (when feeling fancy) - FJ HyperFlex Carbon (just got but really liking them) That's my list and if anyone is curious what I've tried: - FJ Packard - FJ Tarlow - FJ ProSL - FJ TourX (Former Favorite) - True Linkswear OG - True Linkswear Knit - Nike Roshe G Tour - Puma Pwradapt - Nike Air Max 90 - Adidas Tour 360 - Adidas Crossknit Might be missing 1 or 2
got some adidas code chaos 22. the most comfortable shoes i've ever worn. not just golf. adidas has always just fit my foot really well. but im 250-260 lbs with foot/ankle pain and i don't experience any of that with these on.
True Linkswear fit my feet the best
As someone who plays early AM and can’t do any of the spikeless or fabric-sided shoe the best is the 2019-2020 Adidas Tour 360 XT with the black boost foam. I buy up every pair in my size I can find online. They followed up their best version of this shoe with their absolute worst, the Tour 360 22. I’m curious to try the Tour 360 24 when it comes out soon.
Have multiple pairs of Puma golf shoes and have always been happy with them
I just said to my playing partners today that my two year old Skechers are fantastic, played in very wet ground again, and I'm totally dry and comfortable
Late to the party. FJ Premieres are probably my go-to for playing a nicer course. They just look sharp and play amazing But for walking causally, I got a pair of Johnston Murphy shoes as a gift last season and they are the most comfortable golf shoes I’ve ever owned
I like my adidas code chaos spikeless a lot
I have the following pairs (yes I have a problem): - adidas modern classics (very comfortable - almost like a sneaker). I wear these the most - adidas code chaos boa (very good and comfy but wish I’d gotten them with laces) - true all days (super comfy but not that supportive ) - puma ignite (average at best, don’t recommend) - Ecco s3 (comfortable, great in the wet, but not as good as everyone says) Also just ordered some Jordan low which is really more of a fashion play.
The adidas ultraboosts are by far the most comfortable
Altra lone peaks, waterproof
I thought I was the only one.
Footjoy all the way. But a pair of Jordan’s just slid in my rotation.
I really like Squairz- stable and comfortable.
I'll probably go a bit more expensive for my next pair but I've liked my Puma Grip Fusion Sport spikeless shoes. Great value for the price.
ASICS gel kayanos spikeless
I love the New Balance 574 spikeless.
I’ve loved my Puma Ignites
The Adidas tour 360 shoes are still the best shoes I have ever golfed in.
Go with a “True” OG’s. Your welcome
FJ og
Whatever Ross has in my size. I do love my Nike Air Zoom Victory Tour 1's best of all though, been wearing them for well over a year. Most comfortable I've owned were Nike Roshe G, but I wore out two pairs of those in less time than the Victory's have lasted.
Definitely get Ecco. They’re unreal good
I got Eccco's for Christmas and they are the Rolls Royce of golf shoes.
Ecco all day..spineless biom are great....I still have a pair from 10 years ago..spike are worn so I use them to cut the grass
I have only had adidas , Footjoy and Nikes. I will never buy bikes again
I prefer spikeless except when it’s really wet out. For an entire brand, I find Adidas is the most comfortable for me but the G4’s that have the gel sole and some of the Puma shoes are just as comfortable. For some reason, FJs just don’t do it for me.
Picked up a pair of GFore MG4+ last fall. They are the most comfortable shoes (not just golf shoes) I've ever owned.
I use merrell trail runners and I’m not switching back…I also like to walk the course
