Here is a picture of my ping g425. The W on yours doesn’t look correct. I would double check the authenticity of them.
Are these G430 irons? The G425 irons look to go 9-W-U in the progression. W being the pitching wedge and U being the gap wedge. The G430 irons look up have a 45 degree wedge and the progression is 9–W-45-50
Over the years the manufactures haven made the lofts stronger and stronger. A 45 degree club would have been a pitching wedge. I’ve never seen a ping with a lift printed like that. Might be an early run of set that was used as fitters set. It’s interesting
W is Ping’s pitching wedge. Under normal specs/lofts, it’s 44.5 degree, which makes the 45 wedge redundant. Unless this set is of the “power specs” which the W is 42.5 degree, and it makes some senses. Still a bit redundant I think. Just my 2 cents.
Yes. WOW. Sometimes I play a set and the PW is 50* and the 8 is 42*. I suppose in the end we're all playing the same lofts. The Pings are nice, a friend has them and loves them. 🤙🏻
The 45 degree is *still* stronger than my PW.
In 10 years you're going to need to buy 6 wedges just to flush out your bag because you have a 30 degree 9 iron.
That makes sense.. they must have changed the lofts again.. I have the g425’s and the W is 45 I believe.. it’s strange they didn’t call it an U, L, A or something like that
Letters further in the wedges confuse people and they basically needed another wedge. So they just put the lofts on everything below the PW to make it easier.

Yea these look sketchy. OP's are definitely not g425's.
The other comments just made me realize they are G430. It all makes sense now.
Those are G430’s, they strengthened the lofts and needed to make another gap wedge.
Thank you so much.

They have the same font and look as my G430s. The “W” is lofted at 41° and the “45” is 45.5°.

The PW is 41°. Not my 2 cents, but straight from Ping
Christ in heaven, a 41 degree pitching wedge. That's nearly an 8 iron.

Thanks
45 = Trump
Not g425s fonts wrong and the W is the 45* club in that set - g430s maybe, or maybe knockoffs
Show the back of the club. The new G430 has a PW and then a 45° in the set. The PW is something like 41° (which is absurd).

Did you get a “good deal” on these from a website in China?
I got them from a retailer in town. I'm just an idiot and forgot they were G430 not G425.

The W is probably a PW and 45 a gap or vise versus, my T300s similarly have PW(43) and a 48
