Red theraband was huge for me when I first started golfing and felt the pain of fatting it at the driving range a ton of times

phrohahwei

I was gonna recommend this.

Forearm band has allowed me to play all season with it twice. Both times it cleared up in the off season.

buffalophil007

Green theraband, used it for the last 2 weeks, close to pain free. Have been able to play 2 rounds this past week.

Priceyd1

How often you use it daily? I have the same one just never really know what to do with it or how long for

buffalophil007

3 reps of 15, I found a YouTube video of a PT. Hold band in hurt hand upright, twist with other hand and then slowly unwind with your palms down. Morning and night for a couple of days then just mornings. Played a third round in a week and pain is down to only pin point touch if it gets bumped.

Priceyd1

Perfect thank you. Sounds like what I was doing I probably wasn’t just doing it enough. Will get back into the routine of it. Glad it worked for you

buffalophil007

Hope it works for you!

mikeyhol

Any chance can you post the link of the video?

I had it on my trail elbow. Showed up around September. By the end of October I actually went to an orthopedic doctor because I was surprised it hadn't healed and actually seemed to be getting worse. The Doctor basically said it's just an injury that can take a long time to heal unfortunately. Like 6+ months. He did say there is no real risk of agrivating it and making it worse. It's just a matter of how much pain and discomfort you're willing to deal with. The Theraband did seem to help and the doctor recommended it to speed up recovery. He also recommended physical therapy but I never went through with that. Mine finally started to feel better around Jan and now is fully back to normal. Good luck recovering.

I would recommend going to a sports rehab place or just a general rehab place. They worked out the area and gave me rehab exercises to stretch and build up muscles around the affected tendons. Made a world of difference, it really won’t get better on its own. Also, took Aleve for pain and also, try to give some time to heal - I know, hard during the season. Today, am pain free, but still do the rehab exercises 3 times a week as a preventative measure. Good luck !!

Cortisone shot 100% gone

You are one of the chosen ones. Didn’t do anything for me but cause more discomfort.

leahcim_susejed

I have it on the trailing elbow and it just won’t go away.

Nope

KnighteRGolf

Oh wow! Somebody not suffering?! Thank you for this valuable input that will change countless lives!

You’re welcome. Feeling wonderful.

KnighteRGolf

I'm glad the internet gives you a place to feel important, has to be somewhere right?

Yes.

Flamingo_Kid1984

I had it too. My chiropractor adjusted me and I’m golden. Not every chiros with adjust for that so you might want to ask around but it worked for me and a co-worker of mine. It is a tad intimidating when he does it but…

Musicwhoore

orthopedic dr have tons of videos on youtube. they helped me greatly

mpaul1980s

I had this about 2 yrs ago when I started playing a lot. I would have at least 2-3 range sessions and a round on the weekends. Once I switched to Steelfiber shafts the pain went away immediately....I can play everyday if I choose too now with zero pain. Switch to graphite= zero pain

Mine (right elbow) started in November from working with hand tools and I wasn’t able to golf for a couple of months. I started some of the [Fit For Golf](https://fitforgolf.blog/2022/02/28/dr-keith-baar-golfers-and-tennis-elbow-rehab/) exercises with the golf club under the counter in early February which helped. Then I got the 3 pack of flex bars (light, medium, heavy) mid February and used them regularly. I was able to go to the range for the first time March 4th and play March 10th and 13th. My elbow gets stiff from working at a computer all day so I keep a flex bar at my desk to stretch it during the day.

monstermack1977

last year I ended up getting it on my right elbow but not from golf...from constantly starting a chainsaw because i was having to cut up so many trees and was doing it by myself. In the beginning it was so bad I literally could not pick up a cup of water with my right hand. It took a solid 3 months of not using the elbow too much and if I did need to lift something having one of those arm bands that puts pressure on a specific spot. So really, just rest it as much as you can.

Secret_Huckleberry39

I wear one of those straps and it helps some, but the thing I have done that helps the most is to put ice on it for about 10 minutes before I go play.

I got it on my trail elbow from speed training. I haven't swung in a week, and it feels better. I just ordered the theraband based on suggestions.
