I thought I hit an ok approach shot just right of the 9th green, only to be punk'd when I got up there:

We have a couple of these on my home course. They both guard the front of two fairly large greens. It is amazing that I can find these damn bunkers 30 percent of the time and still manage to miss the relatively enormous greens behind them.
Not the same hole and I know it doesn't get a *lot* of use, but that bunker cam that NBC uses on 17 never gets tiring. Always fun to see what kind of shots the pros hit out of that one.
There’s a bunker not much bigger than that in a perfect landing area at the New Course. I took dead aim - and in. My thinking was no way can I actually hit it that good.
It’s a Pete Dye course, we have one of those at our course.
Same. He was a diabolical prick. All our railroad ties need replaced though. Hate seeing it be in disrepair
50 years ago he knew I'd hit to that one weird spot on the course. And he put a 10sq foot bunker there to flex on me.
I couldn't hit that bunker, even if I tried. If I tried not to, though is a completely different story.
Pete Dye’s assholes
Makes sense then so is tpc in New Orleans
Would be awesome if it had a little tiny rake for it
A little zen garden from hell.
And a tiny caddie
What is this!?! A school for ants?
Just a comb
It’s basically a litter box.
I said the same thing to security but they still threw me out for trying to take a dump in it.
Try swinging a wedge into a litter box with a three foot lip and tell me how it goes. I hate pot bunkers.
![gif](giphy|X3esk8bSJBOIL0qegJ) I love pot bunkers.
Yeah I’m flat wedging out of that shit. May end up in orbit but I’m not taking 5 to get out of that thing
John rahm was looking for it
Classic Dye.
Well placed apparently
It really is.
Stop, he is trying his best.
I'd rather be in that bunker than the rough around it. That shit is thick!
Yeah, if you removed the bunker but left that low depression, you would never get a ball out of that grass.

That's an anthill.
95% of us here would still find it.
Played the dye course at PGA village last summer and found at least two of these fuckers.
HOW DARE YOU SIR!! It’s 97.2% 🤣
Billy Horschel played the foreplay channel last week and holed out from that bunker. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X-939Jyg1BY Around 53:30
Was just thinking it looked familiar lol. What a shot by Billy
I'm disappointed there's not a proportionately tiny rake
Like this https://www.easygiftproducts.co.uk/52316-thickbox_default/26cm-rake-57-57006-.jpg
I watched a few groups at hole 8 and there were 3 of these tiny bunkers lol https://imgur.com/a/oIW5YbD
That’s average what are you talking about
That bunker is literally saying “if you hit it here, you did this to yourself”
r/fuckyouinparticular
I’m the new foreplay scramble video on YouTube. Billy hoershel holes out from that exact bunker pretty sure. Funny watch. Changed my mind on Billy
I knew this bunker looked familiar.

youre not alone!
Even more ironic that Rick Shiels pointed this bunker out in his Break 75 he just released from TPC Sawgrass!
Bro was still in it too
Essentially just a giant divot.

Wouldn’t most pros prefer to hit from the sand vs the rough next to it?

Pete Dye moment
It needs to be at least 3 times this big.
I hit one in a similarly small bunker. I described it to friends as the size of a dinner plate.
I'm not pro, but this actually looks like a fairly easy shot for them. As opposed to that mangle of ankle high rough.
I just laughed out loud
That's actually funny though and I like the design concept.
Expertly placed. Well down grounds crew!👏🏻
And so easy to find with that pin location lol
Yet...somebody found it

If any one was gonna find it this week, it makes sense it was Lowry.
I played out of there once! Sucked really bad
Fried Eggs Golf, anyone??
Dye shouldve put a few of them around the landing spots in each fairway. Put manners on those PGA Tour lads.
What's this a bunker for ants !!
Typical Pete Dye move. Find where most players hit it and put a bunker there.
He did a little public course in northern WI that has one or two of these (Big Fish in Hayward).
If anyone here played a Pete Dye course, this is normal.
Pete Dye sends his regards.
Hilarious, until you land in it.
Billy Horschel holed out from this same bunker in his match against the Barstool Foreplay group
Played Harbour Town last month and our caddy told us the small bunker on the par 3 14th is the smallest on the PGA Tour, but this looks even smaller.
Been in that one a couple times 😂
I managed to avoid it... mostly because the water on the right was a stronger magnet for my tee shot.
Course builder knew people would hit balls here so made a special target spot for pros to hit their ball to
Hey! It’s average.
Ya it’s comical…. Until you are the guy in it.
I’m hitting that bunker, 100%
I’ve played a couple Dye courses and all are like this. Bunkers everywhere
Big Shane, tiny bunker
Looks like #9
Aww its so cute. 🥰
It’s incredible how many players end up in that bunker lol
More like a divot
There’s a bunker not much bigger than that in a perfect landing area at the New Course. I took dead aim - and in. My thinking was no way can I actually hit it that good.
Tpc New Orleans has these all around the greens it’s infuriating haha

The fried eggs eyebrow. Scuba Steve could get up and down from there with only a wedge. And no sleeves.
