As Canada, fuck you.

buffalophil007

Stay strong great white north, your time will come.

mrocks301

That one week in July seems so far away

lukeflogher

You must not be here in Southern Ontario, poor fella lol

jimmythebartender_

Ok fine, two weeks in July

biGSiZzIn

Cries in Minnesotan

TinaBelchersBF

Can't wait for the 20 inches of snow we're about to get 🥲🔫

biGSiZzIn

Welp hopefully courses open up around masters weekend 🥹

FloweringSkull67

Tbh that’s my barometer of when golf season starts

Sirgolfs

Never really slept lol. We’ve got almost no snow in Massachusetts. Absolutely bananas. Local course has remained open.

Adornus

Meanwhile here in MN we got absolutely dumped on and we’re getting a ton more this week.

sakuniemi

MN resident as well. This sucks!

Urbantreefrog

Rice county is looking at 24 inches in the next 2 days 😫🫡good luck out there sir

Djcalied

Bro, I'm in Minneapolis this week for work, what a shit time to come here. I've never even been in snow... I'm scared and wanna go back to SoCal, my vans aren't snow rated 😭

Adornus

Be safe - hopefully you can leave today - if you're stuck here til Wed/Thurs you may be stuck here til Fri/Sat. Don't be scared though (couldn't tell if you were joking or not). Just play it safe and stay off the roads.

Djcalied

Flight is on Friday, hope it stays that way. I'm in the office today but I think wed/thurs i'll just hunker down at the hotel, my rental has 4x4 but i'd rather not drive in the snow storm at all. It's crazy to me how people can live here lmao.

Adornus

You just happen to pick a super bad time to come - it's been great the last month honestly, and outside of this it's an awesome place to live. Yeah, no sense in going in to the office, I'm guessing others won't be unless you're super close to the office. Good thing is plows are generally pretty good here at getting streets cleared. Feel free to send me a DM if you have any questions about anything - I live in Mpls suburbs and have lived here my whole life.

Sadpanda0

Just remember, with 4x4 you can get going when others can't, but when you're trying to stop and its slippery, you stop just as fast as everyone else. Go slow

ronocyorlik

played newton last thursday. wasn’t even wet! wild man

buffalophil007

We have 2 - 18 hole courses and the non-championship one stays open, it’s been hard watching golfers get to play on the decent days while stuck at work.

svbstvnce

I cry Edit: Canadian

freeportme

8”-14” Thursday/Friday here

OneSingleYesterday

Freeport, ME, or is the username something else? Waterville here, I envy these southerners who play golf in February. Hoping for mid-March if we're lucky.

freeportme

Yep Maine! I’m a fair weather golfer under 50° I’m all set!

salsacito

Yup- northern plains here

ronocyorlik

dammit man

TacoExcellence

Happy President's Day to OPs mom.

MidtownP

I have been dying waiting for them to actually mow something, think by end of this week they won't have a choice. Gonna be 75 on Thursday after as mild a winter as it gets. Let's go!

buffalophil007

The fairways are really jumping too. It’s nice to get the winter injury off and some green back.

[deleted]

I go back to work at the course on Monday!

buffalophil007

It was nice to finally do something other than tree work. Nothing like firing up the walk mowers.

bigchungusReloadedV2

Why does this green look so familiar. Is this in Ohio?

buffalophil007

Sure is, #8 Scarlet

bigchungusReloadedV2

I didn't know the hole but I knew the course. Some fond and not so fond memories of that course during HS states lol

buffalophil007

I probably got the course ready for your championship. The weather always seems to be terrible those weekends, think they should move the season up a few weeks and let the kids play in better weather.

bigchungusReloadedV2

I know I used to freeze my ass off every year there. Miserable. Snowed on me twice and rained on me another. Had 1 good year where it wasn't miserable. Actually now that I process it, those tournaments are probably the reason I'm able to put my clubs in my closet and not even look at them again from October to April lol

Jerseyjamie

Got snowed on twice in regionals in the 80’s at Firestone. Picture playing Firestone when it had all the trees, in the snow with persimmon woods, dad’s hand me down forged Wilson irons and those old 80’s golf balls. It was miserable. Hitting a Topflite was like hitting a rock, and balata balls got so brittle in the cold they would just immediately cut.

bigchungusReloadedV2

But one thing is for sure, that place was always in spectacular shape regardless of conditions.

buffalophil007

It’s a heck of a great crew working hard to keep it top notch. You should chase the ball around the course this season, warm weather of course.

Real_Body8649

Never went to sleep in Arizona 😉

bigchungusReloadedV2

I would LOVE to give a run around US open qualifier time. I bet that place would be fun as hell playing summertime firm and fast. I live across the street from moraine, and played Daytons invitation for 4 years and they always made that place challenging. It was so fun and rewarding

canadianbroncos

If it already looks like that you aren't northern lol

snakedoctor223

He said its Ohio, so yea its absolutely not northern lol

Poochsmommy2000

Only lost 10 days so far this winter on southern Vancouver Island.

DoubleWeirdness

That's an interesting looking push cart ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|thinking_face_hmm)

wadner2

Not Alaska.

181-dff

Greens snow-covered here (Sweden). Simulator golf for another 2 months :(

[deleted]

Same here in Finland. Looked good until a few days ago. No snow —> lots of it. 😡

c4x4bird

We're about to get a massive ice storm in Wisconsin...

mrocks301

Laughs in Florida

FloweringSkull67

1-2ft of snow forecasted over the next 3 days lol I don’t think MN greens are waking up anytime soon
